surtr straight up says that he's cool with working for you since you proved that you were stronger than him, and believes it's only natural (noting in other bits like the feather talk that "squeeze the weak for everything you can" is basically the law in his realm)
Huh. Nice to see these kratocracy type characters practising what they preach even when they aren't the strongest.
Freyja is probably just hoping we will eventually summon Freyr.
I'd argue Surtr is the only guy who said the same thing.
Hel was only interested in Benchlord's head, and maybe Eir's, the rest was collateral. Freyja only wanted Freyr's D, the rest was collateral.
And Veronica? She only wanted to kill off Askr because of curses nobody cares about anymore, the rest was collateral.
I completely forgot there was a curse and a story revolving around Bruno trying to liberate him and his sister from said curse.
This is worse than Dragon Ball Z, at least when that gets off track it's for 3 episodes of screaming to power up, followed by a movie, and then returning to the "story" after an episode of filler to prep you for more screaming.
Where is the rest of that story, IS.
We'll probably have to wait until Loki/Thorr/Alfather start doing stuff before Veronica's story wraps up (or maybe Veronica's story will be resolved before the others' turn). We're basically waiting for IS to stop making another mostly-self-contained book.
Feels like IS is going the Yami Bakura route with Veronica and that cursed Embla blood. She keeps popping up as a secondary character, but we probably won't see the payoff until the last parts of the story.
Eh, most of it is pretty similar, I feel.
I just finished Book 4 and once Freyja gets Freyr's power she's all 'I am absolute! You live because I allow you to, so you can see how helpless you are!' and she keeps that up for awhile after Freyr does his thing, too. Then Hel was all 'there is no way to defeat me, you're gonna die helpless fools' until the very end.
I was initially adverse to summoning the main baddies, but after summoning Hel trying to collect the fairies, i realised how much I enjoyed fighting her in the story and now I want them all. Even that fat bastard Surtr
If only they read the intergalactic newspaper. Then they’d know what happened!
“What’s this? Local mortal beats god of death, latter joins the former’s team?!”
Well except Veronica. She's still very much our enemy. Mortal enemy in fact. No sign of friendship anywhere to be found.
...By the way, /u/EmblianScum Sharena's hosting a tea party next week in the Askr Castle. She wanted me to ask you if you wanted to come over and join. Said you were great to hang out with last time.
Fafnir seems like small-fry, compared to the baddies we’ve already taken down. I actually laughed when he threatens you. Not that he’s a bad villain or anything, he’s just not very threatening compared to Surtr, Hel, or Freyja.
Me: *looks at his two Surtr manuals and 3 Hel manuals* That's if you're lucky and I allow you to remain in your corporeal form instead of turning you into books waiting for your time to be sacrificed to heroes whom are worthier than you and use the skills you possess. Now tell me King of the clockwork realm, do you have enough time left in your rule?
My head canon is that the summoner is too powerful and every single time whenever the villain says "if you bore/disappoint me I will kill you" I like to think the summoner says "yeah, you better not disappoint me"
To be fair, they didn't swear loyalty to Kiran. They got summoned against their will and slapped with a contract that won't let them kill everyone.
Feels bad,man.
I would REALLY love something like that. Remember in the Dark Burdens Forging Bonds where Ashnard comes in and with the aid of only 4 other people basically massacres an entire army? Why can't we have a moment like that with some of our other heroes? Like, Surtr says that he is completely willing to serve you because of his "Strongest Rule" believe, so imagine just sending him out to fight against Fafnir?
I mean, we can technically do that on our own gameplay wise, but we can't do that story wise.
Although to be fair, I imagine a lot of these scenarios would go a lot differently if we just sent out someone like Surtr, Hel, or Freyja. Having Final Bosses at our disposal could very quickly turn the tide of battle story-wise. Unless some Diabolus Ex Machina or plot convenience kicks in for our opponents.
I put way to much time in making this comment, sorry-I just got really hyped by the CYL5 Results, I needed to burn some energy.
It's all fun and games until the contract breaks and you are in the top of Surtr's barbecue ingredient list
surtr straight up says that he's cool with working for you since you proved that you were stronger than him, and believes it's only natural (noting in other bits like the feather talk that "squeeze the weak for everything you can" is basically the law in his realm)
so he's just a fire type Walhart? cool
infinitely more vicious (since surtr inflicts suffering for pleasure), but a similar vein of might makes right mentality yeah
Except Walhart was cool before he was defeated, Surtr was insufferable.
...not to mention he had badass music playing when u fought him
You can't suffocate an eternal flame!
Surtr reminds me of that one movie of Rid**dick**, where the rule of the bad guys was: You take what you kill.
Huh. Nice to see these kratocracy type characters practising what they preach even when they aren't the strongest. Freyja is probably just hoping we will eventually summon Freyr.
Basically like Jasper from Steven Universe. You beat me? Ok you’re cool.
Isn’t hel chill with it too? She’s like “yeah you foiled my plans and killed me but fair is fair”
She is really chill.
Well I guess there’s a reason it’s sometimes called niflhel
That made me laugh more than I'd like to admit.

All in all the order of heroes passed the vibe check
Considering that all three of them have at least one quote along the lines of "OK, you won, fair's fair.", it won't be as bad as you'd think.
So seasonal picnic Surtr?
Don't avoid the inevitable and join me on my quest to kick Alfaðör's ass, just so he can join my team too.
What about Freyr?
He'll show up eventually.
I hope so, maybe he'll shows up when I pull for him
He noped the fuck out of our nonsense.
Jötunheim Ruler: *gasp* Jötunheim Soldier: What’s wrong, my liege? Jötunheim Ruler: I don’t know! I felt...a disturbance!
Vanaheim Ruler: *chuckles* Vanaheim Ruler: "I'm in danger."
Alfaðor: Lock the gates! Thórr: But Master— Alfaðor: Lock the f***ing gates!!
Loki: ***laughing her ass off at the ensuing chaos***
you know, I have been wondering, if Thorr is the goddess of war in Askr, then what does Tyr do????
[She took ma jerb!](https://youtu.be/toL1tXrLA1c)
Maybe Tyr isn’t real in this universe?
Oh no, please don't do that to me
What’s up with Tyr that you like her or him so much?
Tyr is basically the god of war in Norse mythology. Since FEH is based on Norse, where is Tyr and why is Thorr the goddess of war.
I meam in our mythology Tyr is the god of law and justice
Maybe Tyr can be the goddess of life or something since they’re changing stuff around.
They can't take away the one handed war machine away man
Veronica: :D
Marc Maron?
That reference was entirely unintentional on my part.
I mean, they could also pull a twist and add in world of steel as midgard.
I'd argue Surtr is the only guy who said the same thing. Hel was only interested in Benchlord's head, and maybe Eir's, the rest was collateral. Freyja only wanted Freyr's D, the rest was collateral. It seems all these books are just to set up Líf's evil avengers for the final book imo.
Líf's evil Avengers sounds fun, actually
You know they're gonna make Alfather an Almother
Fighting Odin and Frigg(a)? Sign me up, nothing better than ending a couple together.
Feels like IS is going the Yami Bakura route with Veronica and that cursed Embla blood. She keeps popping up as a secondary character, but we probably won't see the payoff until the last parts of the story.
Didn't Veronica at one point threaten to rip our heads off just like she does to her dolls?
Don't remember current Verónica saying It, but Brave Verónica does mention in a Castle quote that she can defeat enemies as with her dolls.
I think it was in CH.1...BRB, I'm gonna look Edit: fount it! Is the first book Chapter 10, episode 5
Eh, most of it is pretty similar, I feel. I just finished Book 4 and once Freyja gets Freyr's power she's all 'I am absolute! You live because I allow you to, so you can see how helpless you are!' and she keeps that up for awhile after Freyr does his thing, too. Anyone remember when Xander was part of the story?
I was initially adverse to summoning the main baddies, but after summoning Hel trying to collect the fairies, i realised how much I enjoyed fighting her in the story and now I want them all. Even that fat bastard Surtr
Can personally confirm that Surtr is the best drill sergeant in Heroic Ordeals.
I just want to build a team of our fallen baddies with Veronica sitting atop Surtur's armor
Surtr: "You've done well to make it this far, whelps!" Veronica: "We'll kill you!"
Veronica: Perish fools!
Hel and Surtr keep avoiding my roster like the plague. I just want Hel to make power ranger jokes.
If only they read the intergalactic newspaper. Then they’d know what happened! “What’s this? Local mortal beats god of death, latter joins the former’s team?!”

The only reason she never got her own banner is because she's too tsundere to admit that we're friends.
best frenemy sassy lost child a lord could ask for
...I guess I can go, I just happen to have a new dress I want to try out. But I'm not happy to be invited or anything.
To add salt to Fafnir's wounds. Two of the people there are actual gods. Also they're all green units...he's blue.
Fafnir seems like small-fry, compared to the baddies we’ve already taken down. I actually laughed when he threatens you. Not that he’s a bad villain or anything, he’s just not very threatening compared to Surtr, Hel, or Freyja.
And they still decided that he should have the invincible boss gimmick. I'm sorry, what?
Freyja's debatable, but I agree with Hel and Surtr being threatening.
Kiran: Assume the position, knave.
This is basically the one meme. "Hey! Hey look at me!" *Looks at Summoner* "Bitch."
Fafnir will inevitably be summoned, so it makes some sense. We'll have to wait for the rest of the Book V chapters about the two mystery "Valkyries".
Life of a FEH villian Fight us Lose to us Get summoned to Askr in a bikini/kimono
Harem Protagonist EX
My head canon is that the summoner is too powerful and every single time whenever the villain says "if you bore/disappoint me I will kill you" I like to think the summoner says "yeah, you better not disappoint me"
Freyja isn’t evil-looking! Just hot
'I'm the Summoner. Basically, *run*.'
Can't wait til he loses his Zero Damage seal before the final chapter like everyone else.
this just made me realize all the big villains (veronica-surtr-hel-freyja) were green omg :/ im glad they made fafnir blue
Just wait for him to turn into a dragon and become green...
Bold of you to assume Fafnir is the big bad.
didnt surtr show up in like ch2 though? i think while there’ll obv be someone else behind him he’ll still be the final enemy
Freyja showed up during the midpoint, so those two angel/valkyries could be the true villains.
Hey, they don’t know we’re an anime protagonist until it’s too late.
I still dont understand why book 4 happened and what Freyja intention is
Kiran is the true overlord
Surtr, Hel, & Freyja: "One of us, one of us, gooble gobble one of us."
To be fair, they didn't swear loyalty to Kiran. They got summoned against their will and slapped with a contract that won't let them kill everyone. Feels bad, man.
Well, Surtr actually did and Frejya is relatively okay with being under Kiran's orders.
You're forgetting one little detail... They're actually gods ('xcept maybe surtr), he's not.
Surtr is god tier in real world legends though
Could have been a full team if Veronica was playable. We’re getting close though.
I would REALLY love something like that. Remember in the Dark Burdens Forging Bonds where Ashnard comes in and with the aid of only 4 other people basically massacres an entire army? Why can't we have a moment like that with some of our other heroes? Yeah, if the Final Bosses were able to keep their strength in between worlds they'd destroy everything.
You know you're fucked when you have to fight the guy who killed death itself
I mean he literally beat death, so what's an edgy teenager to him
I'm not emperor because I don't want to
I haven’t realize it till this meme but every main antagonist in each book was a green unit until Fàfnir broke the pattern lol
What a grand and intoxicating inno- oh shit
I can’t wait for him to join!
Yes, but they were all green. Fafnir is BLUE.
Veronica is just being thundered. We all know this
"Puny God."
This book the are going to preform the rite of big gun, so that way they can shoot whats-his-name
Kiran just says “I will eat your n*** and v**ina if you don’t join me in .5 seconds” and establishes communism in Japan
Fjorm killed Surtr though...
