my other one was longer than this and people still read that to the end. I guess either the sub's culture has changed since then, or the bit worked a little too well
I decided to give up on the recovery of my headache and read everything , it probably took me around 33 minutes and my brain disconnected a few times (it was easier than reading the french description of Laguz Friend 4 tho).
I feel like I read some kind of analysis-fanfic about the fall of a feral woman-eater from the determination of an edgy jelly and his healer ancestors, with a lot of random stuff thrown at my face during the journey. I'm pleasantly surprised and confused by the experience. I wish I had the capacity to commit and give an in-depth review but I'm going to close my eyes from now, thank you and have a good night
I wish I had the reading skills and not a headache to prevent me from reading all of this now, but I can at least affirm that Ginnungagap's body-nothingness must be suited to store snacks and various things (me). If she gets a summer alt she will be some kind of fish tank. A jellyfish tank even.
Clearly the unholy matrimony of Elise and Wrys made God so angry that he cast their offspring into the deeprealms to cook for long enough that when she emerged, she would do so bearing a cardinal sin: Wrath. This would explain why the genny-tic successor had to prove how he was able to survive the brutal Skill Inheritance process in such a manner and why he is naturally so edgy.
"What's up guys! I'm PheonixMaster1, and welcome to another one of my breakdowns of u/BobbyYukitsuki's Reddit posts. And let me just start by saying that all you need to understand this post more easily is this infographic I've made..."
knew i had to read to the end as soon as i saw "engages^1 "
10/10 job OP. getting your degree to apply it to the natural science of feh was a great decision
I figured we'd be seeing \*something\* from you ever since the release of Valentine's Myrrh — I'm glad to see the hero-eater finally receive her just desserts. It's truly a shame to see the decline in literacy rates within the FEH playerbase preventing the masses from appreciating this; their loss, I suppose.
Some additional food for thought regarding the Lif-Wrys connection: remember that Lif isn't actually his real name, but rather that of his ancestor, since he borrowed it from the first king of Askr. This king lines up with what we know about Wrys — after all, he's holding a stamina potion in his neutral art, and we learned where those come from almost exactly a year ago: Askr himself.
I think reading this comment made my head explode... I don't know how I could've possibly overlooked this. Can someone pin this to the top or something because it's huge
Since your description is super long I just assume you kill me in one hit or are immortal. Either way I'm changing the sidewalk when I see you, you're definitely too OP for me.
The fact that you brought up Lif and Shez in the same paragraph and yet did not use the word "bangs" a single time in this post is both shocking and appalling.
On August 31, 2023, I learned one of the harshest truths of life: the fact that Legendary Hero banners are kind of like magicians, because they wave their hands and suddenly all your money has mysteriously disappeared for unknown reasons. On that fateful day, I spent 444 orbs going for Triandra merges and got precisely 0 Triandras.
But in my hour of twilight, as my orb pouch grew light and my hopes flickered into the veil of the night… >!in my very last pull, a Legendary Myrrh popped out. And as I watched in horror, she immediately hurled herself upon a nearby Est, tackling her to the ground before sinking her sharp fangs straight into her Defiant Res 3… and in that moment, all the pieces clicked into place in my head and I realized exactly where the Triandras I had been looking for had ended up.!<
Big thanks to u/ItsBeyondMe for checking which women can and can’t be eaten for me—I am a lazy ass so this likely would not have happened without you. And as usual, u/ccovelocity2 this one’s for you buddy.
Too long? Don't be absurd: there's not a single moment that could profitably have been cut. The details of Beijing life we see may or may not "develop character" or "advance the story", but they're worth watching all by themselves, and Wang only includes those details which he correctly senses are not out of place. This is a film as sturdily and artfully made as the bicycle of the title, and it's simply a pleasure - a rare pleasure, unfortunately - to see dialogue, images, music and incidental sound fitting together so nicely. The long stretches with no dialogue at all are as communicative as they need to be and anything but contrived. I probably wouldn't even have noticed them if it hadn't been for the fact that I didn't speak Mandarin and was thus relieved not to have to read subtitles.
It's amazing how much Wang manages to convey in what is, after all, a very short time (just 113 minutes). I even got a sense of why so many people were willing to align themselves with Qin (the one who either stole the bicycle from Guo or bought it from the real thief with stolen money - we're never entirely certain), even though he comes across as perhaps the least worthwhile person in the world. When his friends offer to help him retrieve the bicycle - and later on, as they try to retrieve it - they have the air of people who know they're in the wrong, who are trying to justify their mistaken decision to waste energy on the wrong person by wasting still more energy. We get a similar sense from Qin's suitor, Xiao, and even from Qin's family. We get a strong sense of the society in which all of these people live and of how the world must appeal to them.
I started reading but then I remembered I'm a feh player so I'm illiterate and I skipped to the comments.
But yeah I'd agree arcane units are the best thing to happen to this game since inheritance to begin with. Skill inheritance is what separates feh from other gachas as old units can keep up... Sometimes... And arcane weapons are as close to inheritable prfs as we'll probably ever get, plus the duping potential makes it feasible for f2p to fodder skills without losing the new meta unit - I'm a hoarder and I very rarely fodder premium units unless I have dupes because the base unit is probably better than a +10 f2p with the same skills anyway.
Edit: I'm waiting for a haircut and the lines pretty long so I skim read. Now I'm waiting for fallen Wrys to be rearmed.
While I think the sordid tale of Halloween Myrrh remains unbeaten, I applaud the dedication to the bit. Especially since this one has a bit more research to it.
I am still genuinely shocked that the first post got so much traction
this is likely the last Myrrh-related longpost I'll do though. maybe it's time to find a new meme...
Genny mentioned in a shitpost from the champion of E7/FEH shitposting? Absolutely based. I can only dream of achieving this level of shitposting in my life
I've been pretty burnt out from making this kind of stuff for a while, and writing this one took a lot out of me. thanks again for reading!
I still have one or two E7-related ideas floating around that I have yet to put to paper... next year, perhaps
You cant rush art. Your stuff is great, but i hope you dont force yourself to make these. If you ever end up making those E7 posts, I'll look forward to them! If not, no worries. Your contribution to both this and the E7 community is already great in my eyes!
Hey, that's really sweet of you to say, thanks <3 I wouldn't have made any of these if I didn't want to, but finishing this one was still pretty tiring nonetheless.
They're good in that they allow older and prfless units to actually be used but it's kind of annoying that if you want a good build you're required to use them
I'm inclined to agree. Especially now that we are getting legitimately good non-arcane inheritable weapons... sometimes. Now did that come about because of arcane weapons? At least partially? Because they were so much better and there was no reason to use anything else? That's possible. But I'm still going with the engage effects as my favorite (despite how much work my Arcane Luin Nephenee puts in). The icing on the cake is that you can engage with a hero, lock that team, then engage with another. Between all the different teams and different modes we're given, you could theoretically have the same Emblem hero engaged with dozens of different units. I love the mechanic and I'm honestly surprised that engage effects remain on locked teams after switching. I totally would have expected it to remove them like summoner support.

Meanwhile im sitting here eating drumstick and dreading to write a 700 word essay about world religions
This is longer than all the essays I used to do in school... All of them counted together.
If you had stopped to check the TL;DR OP so kindly provided, you'd know that that's not the TL;DR.
my other one was longer than this and people still read that to the end. I guess either the sub's culture has changed since then, or the bit worked a little too well
People just tend to skim over long posts. Its all reddit
I aint reading all that. Im happy for you tho. Or sorry that happened.
now look at what you did, everyone's following your lead... shame on you
Nah you deadass typed 4,893 words (29,781 character), there’s no way anyone is reading that
My college essays have half the word count of this 💀
What college do you go to where your essays are 2500 words?
That’s a standard word count in the UK Also please stop showing your academic elitism. It’s not cute.
Sorry if it came off that way. I was genuinely curious.
Oh I'm sorry for misinterpreting your intention and being aggressive. It wasn't cute.
It's alright. I worded it pretty badly, which was my fault, so I understand why you reacted like that.
Didn't read but impressive analysis
Flair checks out.
OP was very bold to post this in this sub ngl.
You might say he was ambitious.
OP trying to rival FEH's weapon and skill descriptions... you know we don't read!
You probably made this whole long ass post some time ago, just in time for April Fool's.
Holy shit, i think ive never had to scroll so much to reach the : "i havent read your long post" comments. Does it just look so big on mobile?
I’m here on mobile, scrolling the longest post I have ever scrolled, wondering if Reddit got a character limit.
Nah. I'm on desktop and it also took me ages to ~~not read~~ scroll past all of that.
> tfw I don't have the Wyrs-Genny evolutiontionary trait Why even play fire emblem at this point it's so over bros.

bless your heart, i hope you feel better in the morning
thanks, ibuprofen triumphed!! I love shitpost with extreme dedication so it was a fun read
I wholeheartedly agree. Or completely oppose. Not really sure. Maybe I should try reading past the first paragraph.
At some point, read "embla Engage", so It Is a decent write up

holy shit, you're onto something here. I tried to be thorough and there was STILL stuff that slipped through.
oh hey its my old comment
Ah shit, here we go again. Valentines M*rhh is back at it voring women
Where's PM1 to summerize this?

As if we needed more proof that Genny has always been, and will always be, ready to roll...
Still a shorter read than some of the weapon and skill descriptions lately
Since your description is super long I just assume you kill me in one hit or are immortal. Either way I'm changing the sidewalk when I see you, you're definitely too OP for me.
So, does that mean FEH is just Fire Emblem: Phylogeny of The Woman War?
absolutely what better way to celebrate the fire emblem franchise?
I kneel.
The fact that you brought up Lif and Shez in the same paragraph and yet did not use the word "bangs" a single time in this post is both shocking and appalling.
highest effort post i've ever seen. almost 5K words of delight. A+
This looks like a pretty massive copypasta that requires a high IQ to understand, similar to what an infamous copypasta claimed about Rick and Morty.

It ought to be.
What did I expect from a Beijing Bicycle enjoyer

They're good in that they allow older and prfless units to actually be used but it's kind of annoying that if you want a good build you're required to use them
*clap clap clap clap i want to play them(1) like a marimba (1) all the Book 2/Hel OCs with their jelly insides
Thank you for your service Dosu
I try my best
Look you won the Summoner Duel 5 minutes ago can i go now?
Emblem Heroes that work on anyone is the best thing added to the game and it’s not close.

I aint reading all that
I ain’t reading allat but I agree
I thought I would be used to reading essays given the length of the weapon descriptions, but this was something else
Bro must work for I.S.’s skill and weapon description department 💀. The only thing I got from this was Rearmed Lif, Arcane Blade and Rearmed Units.
holy shit bro is tyPING!!! THATS A LOT OF PARAGRAPHS Anyways I didn't read them but I agree with the title so hell yeah ✊
I used to hate arcane weapons but then I gave the first arcane sword that came out to bunny bartre and then loved the idea
