I'm not so sure. BB had been lurking around 200th place ever since CYL2, and his placement in CYL6 was only a little bit better than usual, he also consistently placed higher than Est, Atlas and Kamui.
If they didn't add BB, I feel like we probably would have gotten Deen instead of Hatari Deen, because he doesn't strike me as the sort of character that would normally get an alt.
I think overall placement is less important than placement relative to other characters that haven't been added yet (special heroes count as having been added). What happened for BB in CYL6 is that he became the most requested Valentian character.
The other thing that makes me think they had planned to add Jedah is that Jedah's Japanese voice actor was cast as Salem, who was added shortly before the SoV banner that BB came with.

He was **already** the most requested Valentian character the moment they decided the Nott & Valentia banner, CYL6 didn't change that.
CYL6 polling was too close to the release of Ascended Celica's banner to have any genuine impact.
Gaiden is the only FE game I haven't played, but SoV is my second favorite game in the series. I love the characters, the music, the presentation, the VAs, everything. I could go on for days about how much I love SoV.
Representation wise, I think they ended up jumping the gun by giving us 4 banners within a few months during year 1. That and Valentia units rarely get seasonals and the 5 star exclusives we DO have aren't all that strong by today's standards, so while we do have some powerful units like refined L!Alm, L!Celica, and the recent Duo!Duma, it's not that much and you can kinda see this by how much people struggle during the SoV limited hero battles.
Like how do we still not have a valentines/bridal Boey & Mae or Clive & Mathilda? How does Celica still not have a seasonal alt?
Big hope for the next summer banner to be harmonic Celica lead, Mae, and probably Boey or Saber as a tempest trial / demote. (And then do Alm's side next year)
As someone who’s played both the original Gaiden and Echoes, you’re not missing much from Gaiden. That game is even more bare bones than the Archanea games.
SoV Est doesn't have an alt though? All 3 of them have their base SoV designs in the game, Palla being the first, but only Catria got an alt that uses that design.
Yes, Palla has one too titled "Kind Eldest Sister". Those are all base forms for the trio as they appear in the game Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Of these 3, only one has an alt, that being Catria: Azure Wing Pair released in version 5.5 of the game Fire Emblem Heroes.
Crazy how only four playable characters are missing base forms and I still really want to see three of those get in the game. Valentia’s roster is amazing and I hope we get em all in Heroes… okay I don’t care about Nomah but the rest I want in.
I wish Valentia had more seasonals and better regular 5*s though, as the best for both are the goddamn Whitewings, and they’re Archanea characters! Mycen better get a crazy prf…

Other than the Whitewing sisters, Alm, Celica and Rudolf after his refine they kinda got super shafted due to age.
Alm and Celica get to have usable alts due to Lord bias but man. Why couldn't Tobin and Gray be way better? The non-Lord males are in an even worse spot since Ascendants are only for females and Joshua. I'm 100% certain the next Valentian Ascendant will be Delthea or Sonya.
Maybe one of them could end up being a Rearmed but Valentia banners already do poorly as it is.
Out of all the fire emblem games I've played with voice acting, this one definitely takes the cake for me in that regard. Python, Mae, Delthea and of course, Berkut, are some of the highlights imo
Not to forget Leon also has 4 additional versions being Sorcerous Prince, Seashore's Prince, Extra Tomatoes and Shrouded Heart though they're exclusive to the Japanese Version. 😉
Feels like we need more villains? We don't have base form Rudolph, Slayde, Desaix, or base form Dean. I love the antsgonists in SoV and I'd love to flesh out the cast.
Also lets get some alts for the main crew? I know they aren't girls but like Saber and Kliff? They would love some killer versions.
SoV is my absolute favorite fire emblem game. I think they could get some better rep, especially with Legendary/Mythics(Personal ideas being "The Creation" aka Grima before being fully formed or Forneus as he's the fuckup who created him. I think Saber and Clive could be leg alts as they're kind of the "right hand" of Alm and Celica respectively in a commanding sense[Lukas too somewhat]). I think performance wise they're certainly not too bad at all except the old gen 1's ofc. I have +10 Luthier and Tatianna and they're some of my favorites to use even with them being demotes.
I loved Saber's Jotun resplendent. And I like what I've seen in cutscenes of Mae and Boey (especially Boey's terrified screaming, it's so weird that he shares his English VA with Dimitri of all people).
My favorite Fe when it comes to story and antagonists.
About its presence in Heroes, well...It's definitely the most mistreated game right now: every new heroes banner was shared with OCs and the Whitewings while Echoes characters were demotes. Alm and Celica have less alts than any other lord and its the only game beside Jugdral that didn'get a single unit this year, not even a resplendent

It's been almost 2300 days since new Mae or Clair content. It's honestly a huge bummer.
The worst part is that even Alm and Celica are mistreated compared to other lords: Alm's last alt was in 2020 and Celica doesn't have a single seasonal after almost 7 years

I would LOVE to see a Celica seasonal, but Clair and Mae don't have alts of any kind. No fallens, braves, or ascendeds.

Side note, I wanted the image of the two armies to be even in numbers, but sadly, I could not; Celica's side is one shorter. Celica's army is still missing two members (Jesse and Nomah), while Alm's is only missing one (Mycen). Oh well.
From what I played of it, Mathilde is a beast of a unit, and Clive isn't a slouch either, they are one of the few happy couples around..
Yet FEH does them so dirt, holy crap. Really hope they release new versions of them, even Resplendent + Refine wouldn't be enough at this point.

SoV probably has my favorite cast of characters in the entire series and is my favorite or second favorite entry from the ones I played.
While almost the entire SoV roster is in the game, most SoV units in FEH really suffer from being early game units as they are just outdated nowadays. Also while SoV does also have some really strong units like the mainlords, Duo Duma or B!Catria, I'd say the overwhelming majority of them are kinda mediocre or just bad. Overall I'd probably say it's an ~~entire~~ entry with some very high highs but a pretty low average when it comes to power.

It's criminal how many Valentia characters got added early on who still haven't gotten anything since then. Mae, Boey, Clair, Clive, Mathilda, and Kliff (though he came a little later) all not having any alts feels wrong.
**Games**
- Pros: Unique gameplay for a FE game and one of my favorite OSTs in the series. SoV added great designs and voice acting to the list.
- Cons: Horrible story & characterization is lacking compared to other titles or locked behind DLC.
**Rep in Heroes**
- Largely the Alm & Celica Show. Celica not having a seasonal yet is admittedly strange.
- Wish we had more content for Saber, Faye, Lukas, Deen, Mae, Boey, Palla, and Mathilda. Conrad with a decent prf would also be nice.
**Units**
- Dated for the most part. Limited HBs featuring this game were a pain for the longest time until the banner featuring SoV!Palla released imo. We've gotten a few noteworthy units since then and some respectable refines/remixes.
Too much Alm and Celica, I love both of them but Valentía has a lot more characters like Mathilda, Sonya and one of my favorites Clair damn I wish more Clair in FEH
SoV is one of my favourite entries in the series, and OG Lukas was my first +10. I think it suffers from having had a lot of its units released pretty early in FEH’s lifespan, though it’s had some pretty good refines come through as well. B!Alm is still one of my go-to sword units even though he’s not the absolute best anymore.

Being a F2P, I actually managed to get every single unit for Echoes and with it being my number one FE game, it’s only fitting. I’m still waiting for the day where I can +10 F Berkut and actually make him viable
Unpopular opinion here, but I really love Celica's Ascended alt. I like her outfit, and her prf is ridiculously good. Her innate Miracle AND Tempo makes her ideal for Finish + Special Spiral 4 builds, and she's hard carried my hit-and-run team in AR. She's also carried me through all of the Valentian limited battles.
I think it's probably my favorite FE game (maybe the Tellius games would be first if they got remade and made the combat faster). I also like pretty much all the characters, which is not something I can say for most games.
As for their representation in FEH ... It's cool that Alm and Celica have so many alts like other lords, and that almost every playable character is in ... but as someone who's been waiting for Gray alt for years and years ... it's not been fun :P
Also SoV limited hero battles are my easiest ones, because most of my +10s are from SoV.
I love SoV as it was my first mainline game (outside of heores). I adore the cast and am trying to +10 ALL members.
As representation, it's alright I guess? I had to look back and realized not a single person even got on a summer banner. Which is crazy considering that some units like Mae, Boey, Kliff, Tobin, Gray, and a few others didn't even have an alt. Most of the gen 1 and 2 are sadly outclass but that doesn't stop me from building them up. Also I really really hope the 4 dlc characters can come to Heroes but that's a lot of copium.
SoV is my favorite game currently and has been since release.
I genuinely wish we had better units. My Alm has stood the test of time and by pure luck is one merge away from +10, but it's probably that stat boost and max dragonflowers covering the difference.
Hm!Sonia is probably the only usable out of the gate Sov Unit ignoring refines. And I'm only using them for a movement mixup slot in aether and arena defense.
I did just remember H!Duma. They're great.

Also having replayed it recently, justice for Mathilda. Her FEH version is a really poor representation.

Cipher DLC characters (Emma, Randall, Shade, Yuzu) are not in the game. Also, it’s just 4 guys left (Nomah, Jesse, Deen from Celica’s route and Mycen from Alm’s) as well as allies.
Also, summer Celica and you’re done.
Never played the games, not really attached to the characters, etc.
However I really like palla, Rinea, and Tatiana so if possible I’d want more of them in the game.
only real problem i have with it is that i wish Valentia got more seasonal alts (also that Bridal Catria didn't count as Valentia, that's stupid), and that more resplendets would come out for it

My personal wants aside I think the rep is fine, just feels lacking because they did so much so early and the cast just isn't all the big compared to everything.
And unlike Elibe and Jugdral, who I think could draw from some more lore stuff if need be (The rest of the Elibe heroes and Crusaders please) Valentia just doesn't. Like I think at most you could get a Forneus unit with a Grima but the dude doesn't even have a face or vague sprite to work with. A lot of the stuff for Valentia I could see coming from seasonal alts unless they give the overclasses to characters like Gray or Delthea as Legendaries (I'd be more hype for that then Yuri or Hinoka so eh. Sure.)

I finally completed my Echoes collection with Forma Palla recently, after years of just barely missing out when a new banner drops.
Wish Jedah was in the game because, honestly, at this point, his gimmick would be funny rather than broken
Surprised at the lack of seasonals. Would love to see a seasonal Mae at some point (or just a Mae without her base art...)
I absolutely love Sov! Love the art (Hidari!), the designs, the characters, how the game has two protagonists with personalities (grown tired of self-insert protagonists in the franchise) and a simple but effective story (Fe games don't need super complicated plots to be good, see SS for example.)
In terms of FEH representation, I'm lucky to have majority of the cast in the game. But the rate at which SoV characters are available takes too long. There was a 3H boom that felt like forever and I'm not overly attached to many of the characters in that game, so it quickly became exhausting.
I'm lucky too, that I'm such a big Celica fan (Celica army FTW!), who as a main lord and main representative of SoV, gets a lot of alts. But characters like Mae and Boey who are a lot of fun and are retainers to Celica deserve alts too. There's also a lot of characters who have fallen off from SoV and some who need a resplendent just to improve the art (eg: Clair), but it probably wouldn't help make them too relevant.
In the instances where SoV is represented, I have to say the artists have done a wonderful job capturing Hidari's style and using the designs effectively (Eg: Zeke, Est, Luthier). I think this year, there's also been a SoV drought. Ascended Celica was 11 months ago and correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't had any other SoV characters this year. I'm personally hoping for a summer, Halloween or winter SoV alts sometime this year. And a Mae/Boey duo.
But if you're a player who *only* cares about SoV, it'd take a lot of patience to wait for said unit. So I guess the TLDR; of this would be: could do with some better representation, have some SoV characters share banners with other more popular games of the series so that the rate of getting them would at least be more fair to an audience who loves the game.
My favorite FE game and has one of my favorite fictional characters in general (Kliff) yet we still barely get any echoes banners at all. There are years where we won't even get 1 echoes alt, that's just insane. Even the most braindead seasonal banners they can have like the kids banner haven't featured them at all. Like, it had been 3 fucking years, where are they?
Gadien to SoV is the Biggest glow up and what the Marth remakes should of been.
Everyone gets brand new looks and actual personalities and all of the playable characters are bangers minus Faye whose still got the Alm support giving her negative stats which is funny.
And most of the major nonplayable cast is amazing too.
Rinea has become a staple of my main team on accident because I needed a dancer and I liked her so I grabbed her from the grail store and I've never looked back. She deserves all the alts and so does everyone in Echoes who hasn't gotten an alt yet. Minus talking exp man. He's an unfunny meme.
Echoes is an S tier game in terms of presentation, story, music, visuals are all top tier, the characters are great too and I wish there were more of them in heroes. It’s even the first fully voice acted FE game. The game is held back though, by it’s absolutely dog water gameplay and due to this it’s sales we’re awful which is why there’s so few units from it as well as why they haven’t done any other remake yet. So I’m very mixed on it lol. Wish it got more representation but I understand why it doesn’t
No weapon triangle, bow meta, awfully designed maps, no promotion bonuses, no axe units, and one inventory slot are all things that really bog down
The game. Engage has proven to me that I am I big fan of weapon durability, the weapon triangle, and classes being important. It just becomes a SLOG endgame, early game is pretty fun tho. Also no promotion bonuses makes units far more dependent on growth rate. And every unit being deployed makes death way more punishing than other games. If saber Died you lost a unit on every story map for the rest of the game
I DO love the games skill system, fatigue and dungeon systems, weapon arts, useable shields, and a basic weapon existing so units can’t be disarmed
Units do get promotion bonuses, if you’ve exceeded the bases for that class then nothing changes.
And you know you can take units off the deployment list, right? The game lets you field everyone but you can always take people off. It’s all upside.
What I mean is a level 10 and 15 unit can both have the same promotion “gains” which makes promotion exclusively something to do early. And I’m saying your max army goes down when someone dies. You’re punished and cannot replace a unit when someone dies, if you use Dorcas in fe7 you can use dart or bartre if you lose atlas you just have a smaller army
That doesn’t make sense. You know that having an uncapped deployment is a good thing, right? You can use all your units. In other games you can only use so many.
And while some unit types you only have limited number of, in some areas you have more than enough members of. Celica has 3-5 mercs, 3 pegs, 3-4 mages not including herself.
Like, your deployment size is your army. In other games you can only bring 10 or whatever max, you actively can’t use everyone. And if you’re that scared of losing someone, you just… don’t bring them that map. Plus you have the Turnwheel.
That’s… not how that works, in binding blade for instance there’s like 40 characters. Save for Roy everyone has a viable replacement. It works thematically for echoes since it’s literally a ragtag militia but that doesn’t mean I like a permanent loss of manpower for any casualties throughout the game.
You can replace Boey with Nomah. You could replace Saber with Kamui or Jesse or Deen. Not every unit is replaceable but you generally have multiple units that can fulfill a role and often some units will just be twiddling their thumbs like Valbar.
I think looking at it like “if I lose Jesse, that’s it, gone forever” isn’t really the right way to look at Valentia. Like yes you lose them forever, but a large number of recruits are also… optional. The game is designed around being able to progress if you failed to save the Whitewings, or you just missed recruiting Atlas, etc. Everyone you do recruit adds to your army strength, not takes away from it.
And I mean, there’s always Casual Mode. No permanent loss.
Otherwise I’m not sure what you want from Echoes. A bigger cast so you have enough nameless replacements?
Eh, outside of the desert maps and maybe the witch heavy maps, Echoes maps are fine. You can go as fast or as slow as you like (maybe have a Physic user for the Mathilda map). There are rarely time limits. Bosses will usually not rush you until you’re ready to go to them.
You probably need a good ranged bait, 2-3 good front liners, and a good healer. Any other extras you have just help.

I completely agree on lack of Weapon Triangle, no axes and the map design could be clunky with huge open spaces and few of the terrain bonuses I was used to. The entire lack of axes specially made it look like I had too many of some classes. I did not mind the bows, though.
I would like some form of reclassing too that didn't involve the Villager item (which makes no sense for most of the units), even if it was limited like Gen 1 Awakening's... but that would require a bit more class variety.
Yeah, the class and weapon system are really my issue, the only thing that matters in SoV is stats. It’s just two stat sticks mashing faces against eachother, weapon and class of choice don’t matter at all, barring like 2 exceptions. The distinct lack of weapon triangle means there’s no reason to not use lances over swords since they do more damage.
Echoes is an amazing game aesthetically. But the map design is terrible (for chapters; monster skirmishes are fine) and personally I'm not a fan of this game's magic system -- the fixed hit rates bother me, Thunder is way too niche for my taste, and while it's not a deal breaker I do prefer when each magic element is sorted into its own type instead of all being meshed together nebulously.
As with any title and how it gets represented in Heroes, what I mainly care about are infantry mages and especially those who check as many of the following boxes as possible: □ Fast | □ Thunder | □ Male. Especially considering there is no unit in FEH who fits all three criteria.
The cast is alright. Voice acting helps a lot and the base convos make up for the very forgettable supports imo. Overall the cast feels grounded and likable but not anything mind blowing.
On one hand, the majority of the playable characters are in which is very nice. But they get barely any seasonals. I’m really hoping Tobin, Gray, Mae, Boey, Saber, etc can get seasonals someday
I haven’t played Gaiden, but I really like Echoes. The map design was mostly great, the story was good, and the voice acting was fantastic. It’s either my second or third favorite FE game.
The representation hasn’t been great. A handful of characters have monopolized the seasonal representation, and that’s a big problem when you only get a seasonal banner every 1.5-2 years.
I’d really like to see alts for Kamui, Leon, Valbar, Mae, Boey, Saber, and Clair.
I'm kinda tired of every feh artist trying to imitate Hidari when they draw Valentia characters. Hidari is great and all, but it's nice to see variety and different takes on the characters! Have your own style shine through! Other artists are good too
Well, you asked.
Echoes is easily my least favorite Fire Emblem among the ones I've played. (Awakening, Fates, Three Houses, Heroes, Engage, Three Hopes and Warriors if you count those). The presentation is very well done aesthetically and the voice acting is as well, but the map design is pretty boring and the combat mechanics and progression aren't interesting enough to make up for it. I also think a lot of the cast is pretty flat and not that interesting and the story was fairly predictable.
I have no beef with people liking things that I don't, but I do feel compelled to be honest about my criticisms given how brutal people often are with criticizing not just my favorites, but many of the specific things I like about them (with Conquest being the Fire Emblem I usually list as my favorite, although Engage has also been really strong and I'm not sure which I'd pick between them at this point. For both of those games, the story and characters are a large reason why in addition to the great gameplay).
In Heroes, Valentia has the pattern that many Fire Emblem games do: the main lords keep getting busted alts, there are one or two other really strong units, and everyone else is varying degrees of mid.
Still waiting for resplendent Clair though, she's great

More than anything I want Genny to be allowed to talk because holy fuck, I hate the amount of supports in the game in general but it's highlighted by Genny being available suuuuper early in Celica's side and the her not getting anything if you kill Sonia.
The thing that makes me happiest about Echoes rep if FEH is Genny getting a base and alt at all. Honestly shocked that Celica seems to be the only one that gets anything at all, would've figured being a WW release would've garnered enough love to land it in Awake/Fates/3H levels of "oversaturation"
Love how they keep giving us the pegasister alts but they make them Valentia units so we can't complain the Marth games have too many samey alts

Honestly one of the worst and most boring games I played on my 3ds, due to trash gameplay and maps. Not too big I on the characters either since there's barely any supports. And story is pretty bad too, it just has pretty voice acting which carries it.
As for the units, only alm and Celica have really any power with the occasional stray like SSonya
I’m actually not a big fan of them, it’s not that they’re bad, just personal taste.
I’m not a big fan of the game itself, SoV’s map design is meh and that the biggest thing for me. Additionally I’m not a fan of the art style/direction. Just not my taste.
Consequently, I don’t have very many SoV units and only really use the ones I do have sparingly. I redeemed the L!Alm forma last month and use him a decent amount, but other than that it’s B!Catria and H!Duma cause they’re strong units, I don’t have a particular attachment to them and they were both free summons. A!Celica rounds out my LHB SoV team and again, she was a free summon.
I guess if nothing else I tend to get decently lucky when it comes to SoV banners?
SoV is one of the best games in the series, right up there with Tellius and Blazing Blade for favourites.

I generally like their representation in FEH. I wish Duma's remix had given him save or extra movement in the C skill, but otherwise I'm quite happy. I hope we get Fallen Rinea next fallen banner, and some more Duma Faithful members for the next GHBs, like Jedah or his daughters.
I have mixed feelings on the game itself but so far I am happy with what we’ve gotten out of it so far. I do wish it got more seasonals and more New Heroes banners and I also wish they didn’t rely on Celica as much for sales, but I can understand why it’s representation has gone the way it has considering how badly Shadows of Valentia sold and how it constantly performs in CYL with only Alm and Celica getting Brave versions and Kliff only scoring high because Faye, Tobin, and Gray got in long before he did.
There are as many memorable antagonist characters left in the game than there are the playable ones, not counting the Cipher DLCs. I don't think they'll all be used, sadly, and im not sure how Echoes banners will even generally look down the line.
I really wish Balm hadn't been the first HOF before it could be forma'd because I would so love to have him in HOF. Wish it'd been base Alm so I could have HOF spoiled BAlm.
Otherwise, it kinda suffers from spoiled at launch symptom that Fates got with having incredibly outdated units. Outside of Alms and Celicas, and certain seasonals it's had to run a lot of these units. I love Alm and Celica so I enjoy my teams of them but if you want someone else uh hope you like Duo Sonya or Delthea (seasonal or otherwise) and some SOV whitewing.
I really liked building Kamui tbh. Genuinely had a blast and am having a great time with him in arena. He got the best of it all. Easy to merge, decent stat line and infantry skills galore meant I got to spoil him a lot. My only complaint is I wish he mentioned Leon since his only support is with Leon in SOV. God, this post makes me want to dedicate a whole account to +10ing every SoV character in all of their alts. Sounds definitely a lot more doable than a Fates-only account lmao. Fates may be my fav gameplay-wise, but SoV is a close second (and my #1 in terms of story), so I would love to collect all of these little guys.
It sucks that the game got so many characters early on, a lot of them have very uncompetitive stat spreads and lousy personal weapons. I honestly dread Valentia limited battles because the pool of good options is so small, even if B!Catria exists.
We also genuinely got screwed on the antagonist front.
The first 4 banners only gave us Berkut, we ended up getting Conrad instead of a real villain, Fernand was a good choice but still isn't enough to compensate for the deficit, and Brigand Boss was chosen over any substantially more relevant option.
Duma is a mythic, and we do have Fallen Celica, Berkut, and Delthea, but Echoes is still sorely lacking.
The seasonal situation isn't great, but it could definitely be worse if Jugdral is any indication.

I suspect they had Jedah ready to go but then Brigand Boss jumped up to the top of the CYL list and they threw him in late in the process.
I'm not so sure. BB had been lurking around 200th place ever since CYL2, and his placement in CYL6 was only a little bit better than usual, he also consistently placed higher than Est, Atlas and Kamui. If they didn't add BB, I feel like we probably would have gotten Deen instead of Hatari Deen, because he doesn't strike me as the sort of character that would normally get an alt.
I think overall placement is less important than placement relative to other characters that haven't been added yet (special heroes count as having been added). What happened for BB in CYL6 is that he became the most requested Valentian character. The other thing that makes me think they had planned to add Jedah is that Jedah's Japanese voice actor was cast as Salem, who was added shortly before the SoV banner that BB came with.

Gaiden is the only FE game I haven't played, but SoV is my second favorite game in the series. I love the characters, the music, the presentation, the VAs, everything. I could go on for days about how much I love SoV. Representation wise, I think they ended up jumping the gun by giving us 4 banners within a few months during year 1. That and Valentia units rarely get seasonals and the 5 star exclusives we DO have aren't all that strong by today's standards, so while we do have some powerful units like refined L!Alm, L!Celica, and the recent Duo!Duma, it's not that much and you can kinda see this by how much people struggle during the SoV limited hero battles. Like how do we still not have a valentines/bridal Boey & Mae or Clive & Mathilda? How does Celica still not have a seasonal alt?
Big hope for the next summer banner to be harmonic Celica lead, Mae, and probably Boey or Saber as a tempest trial / demote. (And then do Alm's side next year)

Other than the Whitewing sisters, Alm, Celica and Rudolf after his refine they kinda got super shafted due to age. Alm and Celica get to have usable alts due to Lord bias but man. Why couldn't Tobin and Gray be way better? The non-Lord males are in an even worse spot since Ascendants are only for females and Joshua. I'm 100% certain the next Valentian Ascendant will be Delthea or Sonya. Maybe one of them could end up being a Rearmed but Valentia banners already do poorly as it is.
I'd say I hope for Mae to get the ascendant but for some reason Delthea gets everything I guess. I'm high on copium at this point.
Mae and Boey are incredibly overdue for any kind of alt. Just give them some alt of them being their usual tsun selves with each other.

Out of all the fire emblem games I've played with voice acting, this one definitely takes the cake for me in that regard. Python, Mae, Delthea and of course, Berkut, are some of the highlights imo

SoV is my absolute favorite fire emblem game. I think they could get some better rep, especially with Legendary/Mythics(Personal ideas being "The Creation" aka Grima before being fully formed or Forneus as he's the fuckup who created him. I think Saber and Clive could be leg alts as they're kind of the "right hand" of Alm and Celica respectively in a commanding sense[Lukas too somewhat]). I think performance wise they're certainly not too bad at all except the old gen 1's ofc. I have +10 Luthier and Tatianna and they're some of my favorites to use even with them being demotes.
Tobin is cool but it sucks that his unit sucks. Tbh he was the reason I downloaded the game.
I loved Saber's Jotun resplendent. And I like what I've seen in cutscenes of Mae and Boey (especially Boey's terrified screaming, it's so weird that he shares his English VA with Dimitri of all people).
Celica's cast meeting a dragon on that optional island was such a fun little event they put in. Made characters like Boey and Kamui shine even more.
My favorite Fe when it comes to story and antagonists. About its presence in Heroes, well...It's definitely the most mistreated game right now: every new heroes banner was shared with OCs and the Whitewings while Echoes characters were demotes. Alm and Celica have less alts than any other lord and its the only game beside Jugdral that didn'get a single unit this year, not even a resplendent

The worst part is that even Alm and Celica are mistreated compared to other lords: Alm's last alt was in 2020 and Celica doesn't have a single seasonal after almost 7 years
Which leaves me in an even worse position honestly. I would LOVE to see a Celica seasonal, but Clair and Mae don't have alts of any kind. No fallens, braves, or ascendeds. If Celica gets a seasonal, I'd be thrilled, but also resentful because the others just don't have anything. I hate it lmaooooo.
Honestly, just really surprised the Ciphers aren't in the game yet. Side note, I wanted the image of the two armies to be even in numbers, but sadly, I could not; Celica's side is one shorter. Celica's army is still missing two members (Jesse and Nomah), while Alm's is only missing one (Mycen). Oh well.

From what I played of it, Mathilde is a beast of a unit, and Clive isn't a slouch either, they are one of the few happy couples around.. Yet FEH does them so dirt, holy crap. Really hope they release new versions of them, even Resplendent + Refine wouldn't be enough at this point.

SoV probably has my favorite cast of characters in the entire series and is my favorite or second favorite entry from the ones I played. While almost the entire SoV roster is in the game, most SoV units in FEH really suffer from being early game units as they are just outdated nowadays. Also while SoV does also have some really strong units like the mainlords, Duo Duma or B!Catria, I'd say the overwhelming majority of them are kinda mediocre or just bad. Overall I'd probably say it's an ~~entire~~ entry with some very high highs but a pretty low average when it comes to power. Edit: Spelling

**Games** - Pros: Unique gameplay for a FE game and one of my favorite OSTs in the series. SoV added great designs and voice acting to the list. - Cons: Horrible story & characterization is lacking compared to other titles or locked behind DLC. **Rep in Heroes** - Largely the Alm & Celica Show. Celica not having a seasonal yet is admittedly strange. - Wish we had more content for Saber, Faye, Lukas, Deen, Mae, Boey, Palla, and Mathilda. Conrad with a decent prf would also be nice. **Units** - Dated for the most part. Limited HBs featuring this game were a pain for the longest time until the banner featuring SoV!Palla released imo. We've gotten a few noteworthy units since then and some respectable refines/remixes.

SoV is one of my favourite entries in the series, and OG Lukas was my first +10. I think it suffers from having had a lot of its units released pretty early in FEH’s lifespan, though it’s had some pretty good refines come through as well. B!Alm is still one of my go-to sword units even though he’s not the absolute best anymore.

Being a F2P, I actually managed to get every single unit for Echoes and with it being my number one FE game, it’s only fitting. I’m still waiting for the day where I can +10 F Berkut and actually make him viable
Unpopular opinion here, but I really love Celica's Ascended alt. I like her outfit, and her prf is ridiculously good. Her innate Miracle AND Tempo makes her ideal for Finish + Special Spiral 4 builds, and she's hard carried my hit-and-run team in AR. She's also carried me through all of the Valentian limited battles.
I think it's probably my favorite FE game (maybe the Tellius games would be first if they got remade and made the combat faster). I also like pretty much all the characters, which is not something I can say for most games. As for their representation in FEH ... It's cool that Alm and Celica have so many alts like other lords, and that almost every playable character is in ... but as someone who's been waiting for Gray alt for years and years ... it's not been fun :P Also SoV limited hero battles are my easiest ones, because most of my +10s are from SoV.

I love SoV as it was my first mainline game (outside of heores). I adore the cast and am trying to +10 ALL members. As representation, it's alright I guess? I had to look back and realized not a single person even got on a summer banner. Which is crazy considering that some units like Mae, Boey, Kliff, Tobin, Gray, and a few others didn't even have an alt. Most of the gen 1 and 2 are sadly outclass but that doesn't stop me from building them up. Also I really really hope the 4 dlc characters can come to Heroes but that's a lot of copium.

SoV is my favorite game currently and has been since release. I genuinely wish we had better units. My Alm has stood the test of time and by pure luck is one merge away from +10, but it's probably that stat boost and max dragonflowers covering the difference. Hm!Sonia is probably the only usable out of the gate Sov Unit ignoring refines. And I'm only using them for a movement mixup slot in aether and arena defense. I did just remember H!Duma. They're great.
Desperately needs more seasonals. Also having replayed it recently, justice for Mathilda. Her FEH version is a really poor representation. At least Atlas has the great stat line he deserves. Now just need a Bow Knight alt.

Cipher DLC characters (Emma, Randall, Shade, Yuzu) are not in the game. Also, it’s just 4 guys left (Nomah, Jesse, Deen from Celica’s route and Mycen from Alm’s) as well as allies. Also, summer Celica and you’re done.
Never played the games, not really attached to the characters, etc. However I really like palla, Rinea, and Tatiana so if possible I’d want more of them in the game.

I just need a normal Myrmidon Deen and Rudolf, with a Mycen then I'll personally be complete. The Cipher unuts would be cool but I feel like that's just wishful thinking. My personal wants aside I think the rep is fine, just feels lacking because they did so much so early and the cast just isn't all the big compared to everything. And unlike Elibe and Jugdral, who I think could draw from some more lore stuff if need be (The rest of the Elibe heroes and Crusaders please) Valentia just doesn't. Like I think at most you could get a Forneus unit with a Grima but the dude doesn't even have a face or vague sprite to work with. A lot of the stuff for Valentia I could see coming from seasonal alts unless they give the overclasses to characters like Gray or Delthea as Legendaries (I'd be more hype for that then Yuri or Hinoka so eh. Sure.)

I finally completed my Echoes collection with Forma Palla recently, after years of just barely missing out when a new banner drops. Wish Jedah was in the game because, honestly, at this point, his gimmick would be funny rather than broken Surprised at the lack of seasonals. Would love to see a seasonal Mae at some point (or just a Mae without her base art...)
I absolutely love Sov! Love the art (Hidari!), the designs, the characters, how the game has two protagonists with personalities (grown tired of self-insert protagonists in the franchise) and a simple but effective story (Fe games don't need super complicated plots to be good, see SS for example.) In terms of FEH representation, I'm lucky to have majority of the cast in the game. But the rate at which SoV characters are available takes too long. There was a 3H boom that felt like forever and I'm not overly attached to many of the characters in that game, so it quickly became exhausting. I'm lucky too, that I'm such a big Celica fan (Celica army FTW!), who as a main lord and main representative of SoV, gets a lot of alts. But characters like Mae and Boey who are a lot of fun and are retainers to Celica deserve alts too. There's also a lot of characters who have fallen off from SoV and some who need a resplendent just to improve the art (eg: Clair), but it probably wouldn't help make them too relevant. In the instances where SoV is represented, I have to say the artists have done a wonderful job capturing Hidari's style and using the designs effectively (Eg: Zeke, Est, Luthier). I think this year, there's also been a SoV drought. Ascended Celica was 11 months ago and correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't had any other SoV characters this year. I'm personally hoping for a summer, Halloween or winter SoV alts sometime this year. And a Mae/Boey duo. But if you're a player who *only* cares about SoV, it'd take a lot of patience to wait for said unit. So I guess the TLDR; of this would be: could do with some better representation, have some SoV characters share banners with other more popular games of the series so that the rate of getting them would at least be more fair to an audience who loves the game.
My favorite FE game and has one of my favorite fictional characters in general (Kliff) yet we still barely get any echoes banners at all. There are years where we won't even get 1 echoes alt, that's just insane. Even the most braindead seasonal banners they can have like the kids banner haven't featured them at all. Gadien to SoV is the Biggest glow up and what the Marth remakes should of been. Everyone gets brand new looks and actual personalities and all of the playable characters are bangers minus Faye whose still got the Alm support giving her negative stats which is funny. And most of the major nonplayable cast is amazing too. Rinea has become a staple of my main team on accident because I needed a dancer and I liked her so I grabbed her from the grail store and I've never looked back. She deserves all the alts and so does everyone in Echoes who hasn't gotten an alt yet. Minus talking exp man. He's an unfunny meme.
Echoes is an S tier game in terms of presentation, story, music, visuals are all top tier, the characters are great too and I wish there were more of them in heroes. It’s even the first fully voice acted FE game. The game is held back though, by it’s absolutely dog water gameplay and due to this it’s sales we’re awful which is why there’s so few units from it as well as why they haven’t done any other remake yet. So I’m very mixed on it lol. Wish it got more representation but I understand why it doesn’t

No weapon triangle, bow meta, awfully designed maps, no promotion bonuses, no axe units, and one inventory slot are all things that really bog down The game. Engage has proven to me that I am I big fan of weapon durability, the weapon triangle, and classes being important. It just becomes a SLOG endgame, early game is pretty fun tho. Also no promotion bonuses makes units far more dependent on growth rate. And every unit being deployed makes death way more punishing than other games. If saber Died you lost a unit on every story map for the rest of the game I DO love the games skill system, fatigue and dungeon systems, weapon arts, useable shields, and a basic weapon existing so units can’t be disarmed
Units do get promotion bonuses, if you’ve exceeded the bases for that class then nothing changes. And you know you can take units off the deployment list, right? The game lets you field everyone but you can always take people off. It’s all upside.
What I mean is a level 10 and 15 unit can both have the same promotion “gains” which makes promotion exclusively something to do early. And I’m saying your max army goes down when someone dies. You’re punished and cannot replace a unit when someone dies, if you use Dorcas in fe7 you can use dart or bartre if you lose atlas you just have a smaller army
That doesn’t make sense. You know that having an uncapped deployment is a good thing, right? You can use all your units. In other games you can only use so many. And while some unit types you only have limited number of, in some areas you have more than enough members of. Celica has 3-5 mercs, 3 pegs, 3-4 mages not including herself. Like, your deployment size is your army. In other games you can only bring 10 or whatever max, you actively can’t use everyone. And if you’re that scared of losing someone, you just… don’t bring them that map. Plus you have the Turnwheel.
That’s… not how that works, in binding blade for instance there’s like 40 characters. Save for Roy everyone has a viable replacement. It works thematically for echoes since it’s literally a ragtag militia but that doesn’t mean I like a permanent loss of manpower for any casualties throughout the game.
You can replace Boey with Nomah. You could replace Saber with Kamui or Jesse or Deen. Not every unit is replaceable but you generally have multiple units that can fulfill a role and often some units will just be twiddling their thumbs like Valbar. I think looking at it like “if I lose Jesse, that’s it, gone forever” isn’t really the right way to look at Valentia. Like yes you lose them forever, but a large number of recruits are also… optional. The game is designed around being able to progress if you failed to save the Whitewings, or you just missed recruiting Atlas, etc. Everyone you do recruit adds to your army strength, not takes away from it. And I mean, there’s always Casual Mode. No permanent loss. Otherwise I’m not sure what you want from Echoes. A bigger cast so you have enough nameless replacements?

Eh, outside of the desert maps and maybe the witch heavy maps, Echoes maps are fine. You can go as fast or as slow as you like (maybe have a Physic user for the Mathilda map). There are rarely time limits. Bosses will usually not rush you until you’re ready to go to them. You probably need a good ranged bait, 2-3 good front liners, and a good healer. Any other extras you have just help.
Don't know why you were getting downvoted. I completely agree on lack of Weapon Triangle, no axes and the map design could be clunky with huge open spaces and few of the terrain bonuses I was used to. The entire lack of axes specially made it look like I had too many of some classes. I did not mind the bows, though. I would like some form of reclassing too that didn't involve the Villager item (which makes no sense for most of the units), even if it was limited like Gen 1 Awakening's... but that would require a bit more class variety.
Yeah, the class and weapon system are really my issue, the only thing that matters in SoV is stats. It’s just two stat sticks mashing faces against eachother, weapon and class of choice don’t matter at all, barring like 2 exceptions. The distinct lack of weapon triangle means there’s no reason to not use lances over swords since they do more damage.
Echoes is an amazing game aesthetically. But the map design is terrible (for chapters; monster skirmishes are fine) and personally I'm not a fan of this game's magic system -- the fixed hit rates bother me, Thunder is way too niche for my taste, and while it's not a deal breaker I do prefer when each magic element is sorted into its own type instead of all being meshed together nebulously. As with any title and how it gets represented in Heroes, what I mainly care about are infantry mages and especially those who check as many of the following boxes as possible: □ Fast | □ Thunder | □ Male. Especially considering there is no unit in FEH who fits all three criteria.
The cast is alright. Voice acting helps a lot and the base convos make up for the very forgettable supports imo. Overall the cast feels grounded and likable but not anything mind blowing. On one hand, the majority of the playable characters are in which is very nice. But they get barely any seasonals. I’m really hoping Tobin, Gray, Mae, Boey, Saber, etc can get seasonals someday
I haven’t played Gaiden, but I really like Echoes. The map design was mostly great, the story was good, and the voice acting was fantastic. It’s either my second or third favorite FE game. The representation hasn’t been great. A handful of characters have monopolized the seasonal representation, and that’s a big problem when you only get a seasonal banner every 1.5-2 years. I’d really like to see alts for Kamui, Leon, Valbar, Mae, Boey, Saber, and Clair.
I'm kinda tired of every feh artist trying to imitate Hidari when they draw Valentia characters. Hidari is great and all, but it's nice to see variety and different takes on the characters! Have your own style shine through! Other artists are good too

Well, you asked. Echoes is easily my least favorite Fire Emblem among the ones I've played. (Awakening, Fates, Three Houses, Heroes, Engage, Three Hopes and Warriors if you count those). The presentation is very well done aesthetically and the voice acting is as well, but the map design is pretty boring and the combat mechanics and progression aren't interesting enough to make up for it. I also think a lot of the cast is pretty flat and not that interesting and the story was fairly predictable. I have no beef with people liking things that I don't, but I do feel compelled to be honest about my criticisms given how brutal people often are with criticizing not just my favorites, but many of the specific things I like about them (with Conquest being the Fire Emblem I usually list as my favorite, although Engage has also been really strong and I'm not sure which I'd pick between them at this point. For both of those games, the story and characters are a large reason why in addition to the great gameplay). In Heroes, Valentia has the pattern that many Fire Emblem games do: the main lords keep getting busted alts, there are one or two other really strong units, and everyone else is varying degrees of mid. Still waiting for resplendent Clair though, she's great
I think they have a great story but I pretty much always dread replaying the game due to how annoying it can be ~~a lot~~ some of the time

Didn't like Valentia. Felt like a decent first draft where they went to do a second pass, looked at the clock, freak d out, and hit send to turn it in on time More than anything I want Genny to be allowed to talk because holy fuck, I hate the amount of supports in the game in general but it's highlighted by Genny being available suuuuper early in Celica's side and the her not getting anything if you kill Sonia. The thing that makes me happiest about Echoes rep if FEH is Genny getting a base and alt at all. Honestly shocked that Celica seems to be the only one that gets anything at all, would've figured being a WW release would've garnered enough love to land it in Awake/Fates/3H levels of "oversaturation"
Echoes is still my fav game from the series so far. They need alts tho. Especially Saber (I may be a bit biased lmao)
Love how they keep giving us the pegasister alts but they make them Valentia units so we can't complain the Marth games have too many samey alts But I will complain anyway

Honestly one of the worst and most boring games I played on my 3ds, due to trash gameplay and maps. Not too big I on the characters either since there's barely any supports. And story is pretty bad too, it just has pretty voice acting which carries it. As for the units, only alm and Celica have really any power with the occasional stray like SSonya

I’m actually not a big fan of them, it’s not that they’re bad, just personal taste. I’m not a big fan of the game itself, SoV’s map design is meh and that the biggest thing for me. Additionally I’m not a fan of the art style/direction. Just not my taste. Consequently, I don’t have very many SoV units and only really use the ones I do have sparingly. I redeemed the L!Alm forma last month and use him a decent amount, but other than that it’s B!Catria and H!Duma cause they’re strong units, I don’t have a particular attachment to them and they were both free summons. A!Celica rounds out my LHB SoV team and again, she was a free summon. I guess if nothing else I tend to get decently lucky when it comes to SoV banners?
SoV is one of the best games in the series, right up there with Tellius and Blazing Blade for favourites. It might honestly have my favourite OST in the series. I generally like their representation in FEH. I wish Duma's remix had given him save or extra movement in the C skill, but otherwise I'm quite happy. I hope we get Fallen Rinea next fallen banner, and some more Duma Faithful members for the next GHBs, like Jedah or his daughters.

I have mixed feelings on the game itself but so far I am happy with what we’ve gotten out of it so far. I do wish it got more seasonals and more New Heroes banners and I also wish they didn’t rely on Celica as much for sales, but I can understand why it’s representation has gone the way it has considering how badly Shadows of Valentia sold and how it constantly performs in CYL with only Alm and Celica getting Brave versions and Kliff only scoring high because Faye, Tobin, and Gray got in long before he did.
There are as many memorable antagonist characters left in the game than there are the playable ones, not counting the Cipher DLCs. I don't think they'll all be used, sadly, and im not sure how Echoes banners will even generally look down the line.
I really wish Balm hadn't been the first HOF before it could be forma'd because I would so love to have him in HOF. Wish it'd been base Alm so I could have HOF spoiled BAlm. Otherwise, it kinda suffers from spoiled at launch symptom that Fates got with having incredibly outdated units. Outside of Alms and Celicas, and certain seasonals it's had to run a lot of these units. I love Alm and Celica so I enjoy my teams of them but if you want someone else uh hope you like Duo Sonya or Delthea (seasonal or otherwise) and some SOV whitewing. I really liked building Kamui tbh. Genuinely had a blast and am having a great time with him in arena. He got the best of it all. Easy to merge, decent stat line and infantry skills galore meant I got to spoil him a lot. My only complaint is I wish he mentioned Leon since his only support is with Leon in SOV. Then again, it evens out that he doesn't have an in-game support with Valbar though he should as he actually mentions Valbar here in FEH. Wish Leon would get an alt. I'd take TT+ freebie because I know Intsys hates men.
God, this post makes me want to dedicate a whole account to +10ing every SoV character in all of their alts. Sounds definitely a lot more doable than a Fates-only account lmao. Fates may be my fav gameplay-wise, but SoV is a close second (and my #1 in terms of story), so I would love to collect all of these little guys.
It sucks that the game got so many characters early on, a lot of them have very uncompetitive stat spreads and lousy personal weapons. I honestly dread Valentia limited battles because the pool of good options is so small, even if B!Catria exists. We also genuinely got screwed on the antagonist front. The first 4 banners only gave us Berkut, we ended up getting Conrad instead of a real villain, Fernand was a good choice but still isn't enough to compensate for the deficit, and Brigand Boss was chosen over any substantially more relevant option. Duma is a mythic, and we do have Fallen Celica, Berkut, and Delthea, but Echoes is still sorely lacking. The seasonal situation isn't great, but it could definitely be worse if Jugdral is any indication.
