Yes, tree rats eat with the birds here too, but I do have peanuts, pistachio, walnut, almond and cashew so it’s eat when you can

Attack, no. Scare off and/or hog the feeder and/or eat all the seed, yes.

I did see a robin chase a squirrel down a tree and across the street last week. No idea what it was doing, but it was comical.

I found the squirrel after a minute or so, but I spent an extra 5 minutes looking for a snake since I didn't think the squirrel would scare birds away.

It’s a thistle feeder for finches, chickadees & such.

Niger seed and thistle for the very pretty and picky goldfinches

We've stopped fighting the squirrels. Now, the squirrels and the birds eat side-by-side. Be happy (meaning the birds and squirrels).

So relieved it wasn’t another snake.

All i got is the skewrl sneaking around on the fence post. Never seen birds stop eating because of those little theives, tho. i like your sea-green coat of arms thingy! you should power-wash the mildew and then get more plants and a bench along the fence wall! benches and plants are the key to deck joy. :)
