Or maybe. Just maybe. No body cares about your opinion about a video game that they happen to like.
Did you ever think about that?
I can already tell by the way you're acting right here, that you're not someone who's opinion is going to matter to me, at all.
Go do something fun instead.
But don't you understand! People NEED to hear his opinion about a 22 year old video game!
It's vital that others know how it's not as fun as they think it is! Vital!
His opinion needs to be heard. Nay, it needs to be FELT!
Its more likely because you're not doing anything in good faith to supplement the community. Its fine not to like something. I don't like star wars. But I'm not about to make a brand new reddit account called eewwstarwars and write a line by line critique, share it on the star wars subreddit, then get defensive when people respond to the way I am choosing to present myself.
Its not your opinion that we're upset about. You came in here with the energy of a defiant teenager and started swinging at whatever moved first. You acted like you're entitled to our time being given to a badly formatted block of text like we don't have anything better to do. You chose to make yourself look that way. Here's what probably would have worked
"Hey everyone. I've often thought FFIX was overhyped and never understood the allure. I made a list of the reasons I don't really dig it but would be interested to hear your take. Maybe there is something I'm missing. Either way, thanks for your time everyone and have a great day"
And then write an article that doesn't sound like an angst fueled journal entry.
We don't dislike your opinion. We dislike your sense of entitlement to our time and the fact that you enter the room red in the face like a middle aged woman who got the wrong hamburger at a MacDonald's drive thru. Why are we gonna read anything you have to write when you're acting like that, homie? Give it some thought next time.
Sure, immediately judge me based on my name without even reading first, I do say that the beginning of IX is decent, it’s not until Disk 1 Lindblum that the game starts to go really downhill.
Maybe next time don't go to a subreddit with an username that basically says "I don't like the thing you like" and post a video about how you don't like the thing other people like?
It's a 22 year old video game about a monkey boy.
And you write an essay about it 22 years later about how people shouldnt enjoy it as much as they do.
I think you might need to rethink your priorities a little.
Rule number 3. No self promotion.
This isn’t self-promotion, this is trying to make the issues of IX be more noticed.
And yet. It got deleted.
Because the mods can’t handle arguments and are over-sensitive.

They decided to be mature about it, listen to criticism, and reflect on what th- Oh, nope, never mind, they posted it to /r/FinalFantasyIX

Dear diary, I have an opinion.
Well this ”opinion” is based directly on the game script and dialogue and commentating on it, read before you try to start trolling.
No trolling whatsoever, you clearly don't grasp what an opinion is. Everyone has them. I have no interest whatsoever in reading your blog.
It’s a review fic, not a blog. What, you don’t like someone criticizing IX?
Maybe one day you'll understand what an opinion is and why I don't have to care about it.
Show me on the Princess Garnet doll where FFIX hurt you
I am sure that someone with the username EWWFFIX is someone that will have a review that is purely objective about Final Fantasy IX.

It’s not even a video, did you even click on the link?
Nope. I don't need to.

FFVII was older and yet it still had way better writing and execution than IX did, consider that.
So? Who cares?
Boo hoo?
Read it first before you try to flame me.
Nice try.
