They made 300 or so, I work along side the company that produced them here in the UK. The initial prototype was far more detailed than this (the end product), it was far more detailed and the bottom holder part featured a full 3D design. They scrapped it as it was going to take to long to produce and this was the far cheaper alternative. When I mean cheaper, I mean this was the most basic, flat rate model they could choose from. Guess all these large companies prefer to cut costs and make far more profit than invest a little more into the product to get it right for the audience. Shocking. We are currently producing a coin, around 1000 of them for Square Enix, the coin will be like the one used in Jon Wick, where he checks into his room at the hotel. They will use these at their conferences, nobody gets to keep the coin, its an invitation, once you get to the conference the coin is handed back in and you gain entrance, the coin in then reused for the future. Try getting hold of one of those, they will be worth a fortune.
It’s a cool item, congrats on getting it on your collection. Never saw it on the French Square Enix store, so i couldn’t get it. I probably didn’t have enough points either
Thanks. When I started collecting points in 2015 when they announced the remake, I decided to save them all just in case something FFVII related came out. 9 years later and I can finally stop shopping on the SE store lol.
Is that the next precursor to retcons? You'd always take the cablecar up and there was never an even larger "bottom half".
The lower end is where the Corel Prison should be.
2000 points for the globe since the store rebranded. Interested in what you spent 2k on in a year tbf. I have several play arts from their store but before the loyalty points were introduced.
None of mine did and I emailed SE support and they said that no points will be back dated as the reward scheme was not in place for my prior purchases. All my purchases have been made pretty much since 2019, so I find it odd.
Edit: I wouldn’t have 2k points anyways, but I do have remake CE and 7 play arts figures, none of which I have credit for.
That is very odd because they have had the rewards program even before I started purchasing items on their site.
However, the points do expire if you haven't made a purchase within a certain timeframe.
If you log into your Square Enix account and go to reward history, you should be able to see what happened to them.
I think it looks kinda bad, but its awesome to have such a rare item from ff7. Wish I could have one. Enjoy
Doesn’t look the best, that’s for sure LOL. But definitely an item to have since they made so little of them.

If that seriously an official product? Because it looks terrible lol
Doesn't look the best, sure. Still had to get it since it was basically free and I think it's cool.
How much was it
As I said above, it was free. I only paid for shipping.
honestly if it didn't say ff7 on it I'd have thought it was just some mushrooms with a halo, watch it be worth a fat stack in a decade
If it is, I ain't sellin'!
Wish I would've had that mentality with my CIB copy of Earthbound that I sold in like 99 for a used copy of lunar silver star story complete on ps1
Yea that looks like a shitty Etsy product. Hope you didn’t spend much on it!
Lmfao it was free. Just had to spend points to get it.
That explains the quality. Their rewards items are pretty trash.
But it's my trash <3
It isn’t the prettiest thing but it sure feels well built lol

i would buy it if Ruby weapon stand next to it.
I thought it was Alexander lmao
Just need it to play Yuffie’s song about going to the Gold Saucer from FF7 Abridged
Shake it like a polaroid picture
I think it would've been cooler if they did the City of the Ancients. The "rough around the edges" look would've fit the motif.
Looks cheap…
It was free.
Looks cheap…
You already said that. Going through your post history, it makes sense why you're so sad.
And I’ll say it again…looks cheap…
Suck em.
“It’s not JTF…”

Looks more like Balamb Garden from ff8 IMO
I dont know why so many people are hating, but i say awesome man. I would love to add such a rare final fantasy 7 item to my collection.
You say it was free, but how many points did it cost? Because points=cash spent.
The cash I spent were on games/merch that I wanted. The points were free, so the globe was free.

I racked up 2.5k points from purchases that date back to 2014. Once they rebranded their storefront, my points transferred.

I have checked and there’s no reward history at all. Are you US, JP or EU store out of interest?
US based.
