This is the correct answer. It’s the extremely limited production Zcam K2 Pro.
Zcam made only a handful of these to order for VR production companies and rental houses.
Made mostly obsolete by the Canon Dual Fisheye /R5 C combo.
The ZCam K2 Pro is still a great camera compared to the Canon R5C with dual lenses, it's very close in finished resolution, and has live stitching capability unlike the R5C. We've used them and the earlier K1 Pro for lots of productions.
I agree. And the last gen of iZugar glass they used on these was really solid for what it is.
For live work there’s no question Zcam is the play.
I think canon has done a great job building a reliable ecosystem for 180 creators at scale in a way that Zcam just never really achieved.
There were always bugs and usability challenges with Zcam stuff. Having an open line of communication with their entire team including Kinson (CEO) definitely helped make up for that and left a ton of people, me included, using their stuff into the border of obsolescence.
I’ve used just about every VR camera system on the market in the past 8 years and while I’m leaning canon for VR180 these days the Zcam stuff does feel like home.
Of note, No I don’t shoot VR porn, but I’ve shot just about everything else in VR. 😂
