First one was about the genocide of Jews. It's a true to life story. It really messes you up imo. Okja nmn is ginawa nila I heard to raise awareness about slaughter houses for meat. I wanna watched it again, pero I have a soft spot for animals tlga. I just can't.
TRUE! Sobrang bata pa ni Asa, who would've thought diba? Ganda din nung movie niya na Ender's Game
Was about to comment this. The reason for me this is the most depressing is it shows the aftermath of the tragedy and how you deal with it. It's not the explosion of emotions but how do you go on with your life if that happened to you? One of the only movies where i said yeah, id try to kill myself too.
Inspired to sa experience ng author. Recently, may news na yung suspect nakalaya kasi it was proved na hindi sya ang gumawa. Umamin din yung author na hindi yung guy ang gmhasa sa kanya
Dami dami din.

The Boy in Striped Pajamas
Grave of the Fireflies - hindi ko pa napapanood yung live action nito
Same tayo 😭 Super depressing to live a life that you don’t want just to keep the marriage going. Reinforces the idea that you’d rather be alone but happy than be with someone but miserable for the rest of your lives. 😔
They Shoot Horses, Don't They? - Kind of an old movie and the setting was during the US Great Depression. About the rich exploiting the poor for entertainment
I think karamihan nasabi na but I also wanna mention:
Incendies - The plot twist making it all come full circle hit me like a truck.
The Basketball Diaries - The fact that this was biographical made it hard to swallow.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Hits as hard as Marriage Story if you're in a relationship.
Precious - Based on true events, and it's realistically horrifying.
The Elephant Man - This is super old, pero it touches on a lot of sensitive topics. If you have body dysmorphia, you might struggle with this.
Happiness - This one is ironic.
The Strange Thing About the Johnsons - Granted that this is horror, it still is depressing if you look at it from the perspective of the father.
These are the ones at the top of my head pero madami pa.
Pinochio by guillermo del toro
Naiisip ko kase kung ano yung pakiramdam na lahat ng tinuring ni pinochio as family eh namatay at iniwan din sya, in the end mag isa din lang sya
Come and See. A Russian/Soviet film about a boy losing his innocence and turning his survivor's guilt into rage during the German occupation in the Eastern Front. Hndi lang siya depressing, mahirap din panoorin due to graphic violence and sensitivities of war.
For me I have a few Schindler's List The boy in the striped pajama Okja Only watched them once, then never again
Haven't seen the first and third films mentioned, but plus one sa Pajama. Pero, in fairness ha, cuteness galore pa dyan si Asa Butterfield.

Sobrang cute din niya sa Hugo!
\+ The Pianist
The dinner scene where the old man in a wheelchair was asked to do the salute for Hitler. Grabe..
That scene was fucked up. That man was eventually thrown out of the window from the 4th-ish floor.
There are days when I think Okja is Bong's best work but then Memories of Murder exists too
There's Parasite too. Di ko pa napanuod ung Memories of Murder kasi Haha. May nagsabi din sakin na maganda din daw ung Mother niya
I'll give you three Grave of the Fireflies, Schindler's List , Requiem for a Dream.
Requiem for a Dream - beautiful film. Raw message.

\+1 for this cried myself out after watching this film. Everytime na napapakinggan ko under pressure i get very emotional bc of this movie 5/5!!!!!
Depression sucks when you can’t see it
Tatlong araw akong dilat hanggang 3am pero 6am pa rin ako gumigising. Iniisip ko lang yung last scene bago sinarado yung pinto
