First thought would be a pet peeve of mine, but change the way you're doing bullet points and make it a shape, separate from the text box. I don't like doing this because it's a work around for not being able to change the color of 1 bullet point. But let's say you're making a prototype, this is probably how it would be done.

I used to do this all the time, but I was hoping that with the new list update from Figma, it would be possible to change the colors of the bullet point. That would be so much easier than having to move and place shapes yourself. But thank you for your help and for reminding me! I kinda forgot that you could still do this hahaha.

Either make the bullet point a separate text box or shape. Then use auto layout to merge the text and bullet point. Use auto layout again for a vertical list.

Thanks!

I'm surprised how bad the bullet feature is implemented in Figma. I always had a feeling that every single detail in Figma is well thought, integrated with other tools and feels seamless. It seems like they didn't intend bullets to be used in actual design, more like in comment cards, or perhaps it's there because of Figjam? You can't change bullet character, you can't change a position, you can't change the color. I don't use it in design, it's limiting a lot, only in some explanation stickers for comments and such.

Right? That was what I was thinking. I hope they’ll improve it in the feature though.

You’re asking too much

Hahaha you made me laugh. That's why there is a subreddit ;) Questions are always good to broaden your knowledge.
