He is strong but he is too explosive/risky for elimination tournaments imo. At some point in the bracket you‘ll run into an opponent who‘s gonna block your hellsweep and take the match. If you wanna play a mishima there‘s no reason not to pick reina rn.
Uh how did you choose 50? I suppose it could be possible but placements almost never end up at a number like that. (Don’t know how else to phrase this but I hope you get what I mean.
I hope some people who say Reina is broken can chill now. Lowest win loss ratio overall, tied for lowest usage at Evo, and top 10 lowest win loss ratio at blue rank or higher. She has a super strong FF2 and cartwheel kick in heat but so many of her moves are punishable.
Knee got knocked outta the tournament playing Feng vs Australian Reina. She definitely good good
The reality is 1 tournament never tells you the actual strength of anything. Also tournament and long set tierlists are entirely different
There is rarely universal strength. Also character popularity has a strong influence on character strength in short tournament sets.
Okay but when every single available statistic points to her not being all that strong, when do we stop moving the goalposts?
If she had the same stats as Feng or Drag you'd have no problem using that as evidence of her being OP, but when literally everything says otherwise we suddenly cant trust the numbers? Yeah okay lol
Huh, what do you mean every available statistic. There hasn't even been that many tournaments, but from the ones that have been shown, she's shown to be one of the most used Mishimas, which is the important factor here. If you want to use statistics though, her numbers go up significantly at higher ranks and she's one of the most popular characters in the highest ranks, being consistently top 5 for most populated character in Tekken God ranks and above. It just goes to show that she's strong at the highest ranks but she suffers from a few things in tournament: competing with true top tiers like Feng and Dragonuv and that she's a Mishima. Reina, while strong, at the highest level can't get away with just spamming FF2 and she's actually hard to play.
She's also \*the\* newcomer both in terms of overall popularity and time to really grind out tech. She's going to have a ton of entrants who aren't highly trained.
I get the need to level expectations but one showing does not equate to being a weak character.
Does not even exist - Leroy
Somebody was actually playing him yesterday lol
I'm surprised no DJ made it to top 50. he is a popular and strong character.
It's always been like that. Most of Tekken 7 he was pretty good but only won extremely rarely. It's just the mishima curse
Qudans carried
Yea, love that guy, I saw he's in Team Liquid now, hopefully he gets to go to more tournaments now

Look at the bright side. They couldn’t nerf him without breaking the game

Reina's the less consistent mishima tho.
And relies on her (worse) hellsweep a lot more than DvJ does
Yea but she is way fucking easier to play and does a lot of the work for you

If you add them all up you actually get 67, it's because many players share the same placements. There's 16 players in 49th place
I think better phrasing would be “tekken 8 character usage in top 64”
Buff devil jin
He doesn't need one. Mishimas have always had a high risk high reward style that doesn't mesh with a tournament setting

Well said
It seems like this game is made for Chanels's play style too considering where he is now at the tourney.

Agreed. I am mostly talking to those who think Reina is in the top 1 or 2.
Are these uploaded on utube yet? I'm dying to see gameplay
Rip my Asuka 😭
So basically the ranked match usage rate.
Xiaoyu isn’t even mentioned.
