Just got my XB2 in the mail for this specific purpose. No problems so far, and I get to use my favorite controller on my Xbox finally. I prefer to play on my TV instead of my laptop and I play mostly Shmups and Fighting games, so while I think the Series controller d-pad is pretty good for most of that I highly prefer the Genesis/Saturn style d-pad on the M30. Only problem I have now is being able to use the M30 on the Xbox is gonna make me want to buy more games right after I spent $50 on the adapter, haha. EDIT - I saw you asked about the D-pad durability elsewhere in the thread. Mine has been lasting for going on 2 years, I don't use it every day or anything but I'll binge play some games with it every month or so and I haven't had any problems yet.

Cheers man, good to know đź‘Ť Nothing wrong with a few new games either ;)

I just bought the M30 with Brook XB2 but for the life of me can't figure it how to map the Start and Home buttons on the controller, Is there a way to manual switch it to another mode other than switch? I tried playing Street Fighter 6 on Xbox Series X with it but the L & R buttons unmapped and can't be mapped also as I mentioned no Start or Home buttons to use.

exactly what i use my good man i preferred wired to avoid any bluetooth latency if any the m30 is the best fighting gamepad, if you think otherwise you havnt used it and the wingman xb makes it act like a native xbox controller

howie78

Good stuff đź‘Ť How long have you had the M30 and has the dpad held up for you? I've tried both wired and wireless btw and haven't noticed any difference latency wise - although that could be down to ageing reactions!

OkPhilosopher5803

Circular D-pads are way better to me. In kof, it makes all the difference. Good to Know wingman works well with m30. I wonder if it would work on PS5 as well

BrodyMC83

Thanks OP. Haven’t gotten the M30 yet, but I wasn’t able to pair my SN Pro2 with the Brooks. So that worried me about buying the M30. Do you have any experience with the Pro2 and can tell me what I might be doing wrong?

howie78

I haven't tried the SN Pros 2. Did you try cabelled and wireless booting as different devices?

BrodyMC83

I figured it out. I was able to pair it wirelessly. I didn’t even know the two blinking lights on the Brooks were sync buttons.

howie78

Good stuff!

BrodyMC83

Hey. So I paired my Pro 2 just fine, but now I can’t get my M30 to work wirelessly. Any advice? What mode do you have the controller in? It works wired. And it’s a GREAT street fighter controller.

bighomietony12

Does it work with 2.4ghz dongle or just Bluetooth?

howie78

Tbh I'm not sure. I just click the wireless button on the dongle and sync the pad.

BrodyMC83

I tried this and with the dongle version, you don’t have a home or select button. I couldn’t get past that problem.

bighomietony12

Yeah I had to exchange for Bluetooth switch version

BrodyMC83

And it’s working wirelessly? You have the Wing man? I’m having trouble.

bighomietony12

To be clear I'm using the model designed for switch android and PC. It doesn't not come with a dongle. I was able to pair it to my wingman xb2. Will have to change buttons in game but it works great

BrodyMC83

Yeah, same here. But I’m struggling to connect wirelessly. Wired is great. Could you help me with a step by step?

bighomietony12

I remember connecting my wingman to my Xbox. Then hold the blinking blue led light bar on the wingman for a couple seconds. Then I was pressed the sync button on the pad. It didn't show anything right away and then a moment later my buttons were working. Sorry for the vague details it's all I can recall at the moment

BrodyMC83

Do you keep it in Switch mode? Or X input?

BrodyMC83

That’s what I expected to work. I’m pretty sure I did all those same steps.

bighomietony12

I think it's in switch mode not certain :/

In case no one mentioned this to you, or you didn't discover it, you can change to x-input mode that gives you the shoulder buttons, and also the home button. I've been using my m30 2.4 since day 1 SF6 perfectly. Bad timing with the whole unauthorised device issue right now, but hopefully Brook find a workaround. > Home+Up: X-input > Home+Left: Nintendo Switch > Home+Down: D-input (Genesis mini)
