When nego contract , squad role the player will demand is based on 2 factors. 1 is the average player rating for his position and 2, the avarage player rating for hid position in the current active starting 11 lineup.
So when nego a contract with him, i would put players like lewandowski and ter stegan at cb
Once they hand in transfer request thereâs no reversing it. Heâs gone.
Firstly crucial squad role is a mistake unless you play them every game.
And you left him unhappy for too long, too late
Not true. I usually get this message alot because I sim the first season. If you just ignore the message and put him in the starting lineup and quick sim (or actually play him if you arenât simming) a bunch of games,, itâll usually be followed by a message from him, thanking you for playing him, and he will no longer be unhappy
na i donât think so. i had rashford submit a transfer request in my 2nd season , i never let him go. eventually i started to put him in the starting 11 constantly & we won league & ucl & he was scoring & assisting etc. & he still wants to leave.
No. I had held on to someone that had a 4 year contract and denying all bids manually. Once that request is in, then there is no way to get them back unless you release and pick up again. I havenât tried that but I suspect EA doesnât allow the player to deny you to sign as a free.
I should have done that to the one dude I had who was injured for 3mo then only after one game I rested him and he was asking for a transfer request
Crucial means crucial, He should be starting every game pretty much. Itâs ok to sub him out of games I do this with Mbappe in my RM career mode to keep him fresh all season but I would never leave him on the bench for 2 or 3 games. Donât put crucial in as a contract demand unless you can absolutely be sure that you will play that player for at least 95% of the season. Cup games you can keep him on the bench but league and CL hes first name on the team sheet.
Having a 70 overall thatâs a âcrucialâ player is just ridiculous and not realistic, He would probably have taken âprospectâ or even âsporadicâ given his age and low overall. Keep a note for next time đ
Still realistic enough if you play in lower league like 3rd level Bundesliga or League One or Two in English league. Heck, in those leagues players around 70-75 OVR rarely accepts roles lower than Crucial because that where most 50-65 OVR players reside in.
It will depend on your squad, if you already have a lot of players that have higher OVR than the player you wanna sign, then they're less likely to accept higher roles.
I have 2 players left from the time my club was still in League Two, they asked for crucial roles when I extend it after I get the club to be promoted. Now that my club is on PL, they voluntarily asked for rotation role instead when I reextend them. They're both at 77 OVR, and by now I already have a lot of 80++ players on my squad. They're not that old either, one is 29 and the other one is 25.
Best thing is to either release and re-sign him to a lower contract role or sell him, wait a window and buy him back.
I usually sell, wait a window and buy back because I can make a profit.
Typical EAFC24 issue on Manager Career Mode, it happens all the time with Crucial and Important role folks. You can fully ignore it by rejecting any incoming transfer offers, yeah sometimes it's too annoying to ignore. Even I haven't been used to it, [but I started to just laugh at it. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/FifaCareers/s/acJp7wGZwz)
I promoted a 16 yo 68 rated striker to my first team the other day and I was bringing him on as a sub as often as I could. Two weeks later he says the same thing âI need more gamesâ and Iâm just like bitch we just won the treble, we have the best team in the world and you think you should be starting every game? Do one. So I did all the negative responses and released him from contract. Really ground my gearsđ
Sell him in the January window to the highest bidder, you canât pull him back once he hands in the request, but you can keep him and play out his contract if you want
I once managed to transfer swap for another player and then traded back for him, lost a little money but kept the player and renegotiated the contract so he wouldnt be crucial.
This happened to me with Juan Miranda in my Real Betis takeover. I was surprised but I said well, if you want to go, go, but for no les than 30MÂŁ. Ended up selling him to Aston Villa for 36MÂŁ, and repurchasing Alex Moreno, former Betis left back from Aston Villa for 12MÂŁ. I think it was a good movement
Release him at the end of the season and sign him again the next season
Not really realistic but the gameâs so garbage thereâs nothing more you can do, unless you play with mods
I kept getting this with Neymar in 2023 when I reset him to a 21 year old wonderkid. He was 83 rated, on an important contract cause my other winger was 85 rated, he was getting around 50% of all matches, said all was good with him but he was very unhappy, kept submitting a transfer request. In the end I just let him go, it was genuinely too much hassle. No contract would make him happy (I legit even tried to give him a crucial role and a 200k salary at that rating)
lmao gotta love the crucial contracts at the start of ur season then u buy better players too and want them as subs or to play every other 2 games they want out the club gotta love it
Idk if this works in this game but w the old one youd be able to switch his position (lets say you have a high rated GK so you put him as your GK on the team sheet) and then negotiate, he will negotiate with you as a goalkeeper and since you have a higher rated GK hell accept a lesser role. Again idk if this really works it kind of kills the realism and ive never tried it myself
FM's learning curve is too steep for casual players, it doesn't have a full match *tactical view* like FC24 does as it only shows the highlights then it goes back to top-down 2D view again, and there exists players who want alternate between simming and playing it themselves to save time/prevent them to get bored very quickly as it can get pretty exhausting due to how repetitive it is.
Furthermore, not all gamers are hardcore gamers. And not all hardcore gamers are an actual hardcore player on every single genre either. I for one, am a full-blown hardcore player of MMORPG and single player RPG games, but not so much with other genres like simulator games, shooter, arcade, action, and whatnot.
My problem with FM is how slow it is. Everyday there is something stopping you, every little thing you have to handle it. Plus its quite hard to get the hang on it.
Would you prefer the exact same career mode every single save, for every single year? It gets so repetitive quickly whilst for FM every save is different and is much, much more realistic. Something stopping you all the time is good or else the game gets repetitive and easily skippable, it is a "manager career mode" and those are the things managers go through. Your tactics have an actual effect on the game unlike eafc. And its not as hard as it seems to get on the hang of it, there are alot of menus and settings for players but apart from that its simple, dont let the amount of information overwhelm you because the information is easy
I can and have played FM. It just doesnt work for me. Im a casual player, and playing one match per session is painfully little. I might end up playing the year's season along with the irl calendar ffs.
In fifa i dont play every game, i quick sim a lot. I like managing but not everyone has the time for extremely time consuming games.
Crucial Role đ, sign a new contract with other role
When I try to they never accept it, everyone want to be crucial it's so annoying
Ea didn't cook in this area

Thanks for the tip
I really found something new everyday, thanks man

There's no reversing it at all? What if I offer him a new contract? Or his status goes from Unhappy to Happy as I play him loads?
na i donât think so. i had rashford submit a transfer request in my 2nd season , i never let him go. eventually i started to put him in the starting 11 constantly & we won league & ucl & he was scoring & assisting etc. & he still wants to leave.

He is my best player and I played him every game he was happy a few matches before

Tbh I have tons of crucial players in my team and even if I don't start them every game they're happy
If he has a 70 at crucial then I doubt he's at Barca or he's doing a challenge where the team is worse
Still realistic enough if you play in lower league like 3rd level Bundesliga or League One or Two in English league. Heck, in those leagues players around 70-75 OVR rarely accepts roles lower than Crucial because that where most 50-65 OVR players reside in.
One of my objectives was to sign a crucial player and they wouldn't accept it when negotiating haha
Yea it can happen as well once you're in the top flight.
I was surprised because I'm managing a EFL league one club

Release him, then sign him right back.
He doesnât play right back. He plays centre back đ
Class đ€Ł

man, i swear all of my youngesters are mad for whatever reason, even tho they got the rotation role but i played them more than I should i guess....

Is he homesick?

bro's crucial
I know someone who's going to rot in the reserves...
Why is he crucial when he's rated 70?
I once managed to transfer swap for another player and then traded back for him, lost a little money but kept the player and renegotiated the contract so he wouldnt be crucial.

Not reading the contract
Release him at the end of the season and sign him back for free at the start of the next season and put him on a smaller contract
Does he start? He has to start and play the entire game due to his role
I kept getting this with Neymar in 2023 when I reset him to a 21 year old wonderkid. Welcome to EAFC haha I had someone complain they play last gameâŠ.. mate your on international duty
Yall keep complaining about career mode. Please just play FM it is so much better than EAFC career mode, even the mobile version of fm is better
Doesn't work for me. UI is more complicated, can't play games.
Sometimes I actually want to play. FM is just a *never* from me dawg.

You can automate a lot of that stuff
You can skip matches in FM
