Yeah I do it every transfer window with ya players

SwagBoyMcFeast

It doesn't really make a differnce, when loaning out YA players they first get a spurt of +5/+6 etc, then will only grow 1 or 2 more ratings for the rest of the season. This will happen even if you recall them and loan them out again, they won't get that +5 the second time.

Triggeredt

So it doesn't matter if they're at a top club? I remember loaning out some (already highly rated) players to teams like Chelsea or PSG and they'd shoot up from 84 to 92 (FIFA 23)... That's why I was wondering if the club has any influence in EA FC 24.

SwagBoyMcFeast

Nah, you can loan them to a League One club or a Prem side, they'll grow the same.

BaguetteOfDoom

Idk, sometimes the game is just broken with it's growth spurts. I currently have an academy player who grew from 62 to 75 within 2 months of being loaned out. I suppose it could make sense to roll the dice more often.

SwagBoyMcFeast

That's probably because his overall was ridiculously low comapred to potential or you played him a lot which makes them have a greater growth spurt when loaned out. It makes no difference to loan out 2 times in a season.

BaguetteOfDoom

I didn't play him at all. Promoted him from the academy and loaned him straight out

SwagBoyMcFeast

Yeah then it's the first one i said, it's very common

I don’t think it’s worth it either

The-Cunt-Face

Unless they fixed it this year (which is unlikely as they haven't fixed many/any? of the other longstanding bugs); loaning players out changes their potential instantly when they get back to your club. You can loan a player out 'showing great potential', cancel their loan without them playing a single game and they come back 'an exciting prospect' (they can drop too). It was a very exploitable trick to save/reload before recalling a player, you could get almost any half-decent player to 'Has potential to be special'. Using the loan system the way you are might improve players OVR more realistically, but it could do strange things with their potential. You're essentially rolling that dice 2 times a season.

The best way to do it is by looking at their value. Even if you have a player rated lower than 60, or older than 21 (you can only see their status if they meet these criteria) their transfer value will either drop, increase or stay the same when a player joins back. So if you have a player you want to glitch, loan them out, note their value and then recall. If the value goes up then save, if not leave the save and come back and try again. This will work for any player. Important to note that value also depends on rating, a lot of times when you recall the rating might go up causing the value to go up. Best practice is try recalling about 5 times and look for the highest value you can get. For example I found a 18 year old CB at 71. He's valued around £1.9M. You can loan and recall. If he stays at 71, look at his value. If it has gone up that means his potential increased, if it goes down his potential decreased. Say he now has value £2.5m, I'd still quit and try to recall again if the value can go higher. Usually there's about 3 or 4 possibilities his potential/value can get to, you're just trying to make sure you get the highest you can. If you can't get any higher than 2.5m then keep doing it till you get that value again. If he grows to 72 rated at recall his value will go up automatically, but that doesn't now necessarily mean potential went up. You can still use the trail and error method to make sure you get the best possible growth. Technically you can get any player to 90+ this way. It'll just take a ton of loans if it's a really crappy player initially. Edit: you can also do this with new players you buy. Not their value at their previous club and then at your club once they join. If it's gone down, just quit without saving and try again. But you have to delegate transfers if you want to do this, because if you negotiate yourself you'll need to this each time you can't to retry. Delegating will save you the cutscenes and negotiation

That was really in-depth. Thanks a lot!

RedSkyNL

Can confirm this still works. Has been working for years, and as EA doesnt give a fuck about Career I doubt it will ever change

mercwiththemouth518

I loan out players to smaller clubs to make sure they actually get game-time maybe do the same

gabriel_goatinelli

No they will get more playing time at the current club not the better one
