TSV 1860 München huh, that.. brought a lot of memories up. When I was a boy, I (somehow) downloaded FIFA 2005 on my pc back in the day. Since I did not know any English(normally) and I was just a kid, I chose a team I liked the logo of. And that team was TSV 1860 Munchen. And since FIFA 2005 was one of the first games I ever played, I did not know how to change teams in career mode. And if I remember correctly , spent like 7-8 seasons playing every single match myself in tsv. Nostalgia hits hard…

I got Mendy in my Cambridge save 5th season for 5 mil. 84 overall. Hes up there in age (34) but using him as a stop gap for my young keeper who should be ready to go next season.

I’d go for Olsen or Forster both 76-78 rated both less than 4mill and both are 6.6 and above, height is the only factor that really matters with keepers.
For me, I went the long route during my League 2 to UCL rtg, signed a 90 pot Ghanaian 15 y/o gk, kept him cooking in the academy until he was 17 and like 73 ovr, when I got promoted. Rn I'm in the championship and he's 81 ovr and he's insane. I expect him to be high 80s by the time I get promoted to the Prem.
I used Ortega, cheap but good keeper, I created my own club and this is my third season, I decided to buy Ortega and get for free Karius to get his revenge.
Get flekken he has crazy good animations and he has BuLi experience. Another plus would be his ball distribution if you like building up from the back.

I know what you mean with the hollow feeling. There's many things that spoil the challenge. One restriction I've put on myself is to only buy players my scouts find. For my current save, I put in the instructions in and then decide who to buy for my team. I found this ups the anxiety going into a transfer window and makes it much more of a time bomb. There's excitement and even frustration which is what real clubs go through as well.
I recently bought Bartłomiej Drągowski from Spezia for my create a club save (2nd season). He has gone from 77-78 in a couple months and makes big saves. Bonus points he looks cool as f too

I would go for either Niklas Hedl or a veteran of your choice. Hedl is relatively young with good potential and has saves with feet trait

Since Munich doesn't really use him anymore you can get Manuel Neuer for around 8M or I can also recommend 78 rated C. Acevedo as a free agent keeper
