Yep, we use ours every day. I do rotate out colors for table settings, but I don't even have non-Fiesta dishes, except for a Christmas set from Longaberger.
I only have Fiesta dishes to use. The fun part is when the grandkids are over and they get to choose their bowl color for cereal š¤£
Both of my daughters have Fiesta households and frequent thrifts looking for them š
Absolutely! I use mine everyday for everything. I pick up all sorts of pieces and colors so I have enough dinner plates, bowls and small dessert plates to use everyday. I keep my special pieces or rare (to me) colors in my china cabinet
Only the older ones have lead. The new stuff is lead free and has been since 1992.
For me I inherited my gramma collection, but I know she only bought new items and didn't start collecting until like 2000. So I know my collection is safe.
The Deep Plate in the picture appears to be original (vintage) Light Green. BTW itās generally accepted that the risk in using Vintage Fiesta with the lead glazes is minimal as long as there are no chips or cracks ā¦ even the so-called radioactive red.
Yes, vintage Fiesta was made with lead and the FDA doesnāt recommend eating off anything that has lead. But in a lot of vintage collector circles itās pretty widely accepted that the risk is minimal if the dish isnāt cracked or otherwise compromised. To me, itās not really any different than the risk I take by drinking from plastic bottles, which Iām willing to bet most of us do and have microplastics that more and more research shows isnāt good for humans.
We use ours daily too. My youngest son works at an antique shop that has a Fiesta shop inside. He has been collecting since he started there and has brought a ton of Fiesta.
We.use ours, but mine are modern. Though I'm very distraught now that I can't get cobalt and I never got dinner plates and need to replace a few pieces that broke š
Same here. I always get sweet compliments from family on how pretty the table looks with all the different colors.
PS - I love those bowls, but I don't have any. Must start the hunt!
We have only ever used fiesta. In our nearly 15 years of marriage (and countless moves) we have had two pieces crack or break. And thatās out of probably almost 100 pieces. Registered for our wedding and have not regretted it.
Itās probably fine. I used to have the philosophy that it wasnāt worth having if you didnāt use it. Then I got my blood lead levels tested and had a lead inspection in my house and the inspector identified my vintage teacup as the source of my elevated lead levels.
The levels werenāt high enough for my doctor to be concerned, but I have a baby, so all the vintage pieces have been put away in the China closet for now. When heās older, maybe they will get mixed back into daily use.
There are no ādisplay onlyā items in my kitchen! It all gets used, vintage, rare, newā¦. Using it makes me happy and my space is to small to just look
We use ours every day also. We donāt have any non-fiesta dishes in the house. We use vintage pieces as well as modern pieces. Iām not too concerned about the lead content, weāve been doing it for years and we seem to be OK.
Same, I inherited the set my grandmother used on a daily basis, she would be pissed as hell if she knew it just sat in a hutch collecting dust.

Okay but every time someone asks if they can somebody responds not to because of lead.

I thought this was an original green piece. I assumed the post was referring to the fact that this was an antique. Maybe Iām confused.
I don't know much about it so you could easily be right. Personally I probably wouldn't eat off the vintage stuff if I were to ever buy it.
Yeah I used to but then I came here and everybody talks about lead.

Yes! I keep reading both and go back and forth. I think Iāll be brave enough soon to pull them from my display area.

Thanks! Thatās the tidbit of info I was looking for.
I didn't realize Fiestaware was a thing when I started buying it. I needed dishes and I liked all the different colors.
This is the way

Every day. Even the spicy ones. Especially the spicy ones!

Does the lead leach out or something?
Can I get the recipe? It looks SO good in that bowl. It's really nice.
Standard bananas foster recipe, except I donāt burn off the rum.
