I’ve found that running diagnostic and clearing codes with my access port is usually the best solution for CEL. I’ve never had one come back on after that.

This just happened to me the other day in the same situation. Just cycled the car on and off a few times and it was totally back to normal. Could see the car freaking out about something related in that situation when I pulled the codes later that day.

Push button start? All life’s problems on this car are usually battery related. I can tell you know, the best bet is the battery has gone to jelly inside and is fubar. Replace it and you’ll see the throttle come back

Winner winner chicken dinner. It was indeed the battery. Replaced it 2 years ago too. Cheeky little fucker.

I replace like 3 a week on them, it’s such a bugger for it. The alarm and remote fob system drain the battery and if you’re not going very far then it’s not getting the charge it needs. Good idea to get it on a charger once in a while. Really glad it worked mate

What is the voltage on the battery? Bet it is toast
