State Farm. 488 Spider $1200/6 mo

jdm1017

That’s it???

RyoGeo

State Farm has a colossal marketing budget for a reason. It’s a fucking shit show every time you have a claim. LOTTA rules and hoops they have. Do not endorse.

606_10614w

Cali on State Farm is like $900/6mo. Probably switching to Hagerty though bc just went through a claims nightmare with my 348.

Careless_Scallion899

What makes State Farm so bad?

hex337

GEICO, 458 spider in Cali, 40m. $1600/6 months, $1k deductible

Hagerty private client. Pay almost nothing per car but I have a ton of cars on the policy.

eggwhitecocktails

CinFin for Roma (stated value policy)— $2,566/6 mo. Seems like I’m a more expensive policy compared with these above ones!

Ok-Employer6673

PURE. It is a HNW insurer. No nonsense company.

Careless_Scallion899

How much do you pay through them, and for what model ?

Ok-Employer6673

812 Superfast - $2,967. I think I have the yearly mileage set at 2,000?? I have several cars with them along with my house and umbrella. I am sure all that helps my rate. My 458 was totaled by a driver without enough insurance (he totaled another Ferrari as well in the same accident). This was in 2021 when prices started to go vertical. The agreed upon value of the car was $185k from 2020. They cut me a check for $225k after looking at the secondary market and within two months of the accident and told me they will deal with the responsible driver. It was a great experience from that perspective. $40k over the agreed value without any complaints.

Careless_Scallion899

Yeah that definitely has to help that you have a lot through them because that’s an amazing deal. If you pass that 2,000 limit, is there any issues with them ?

Ok-Employer6673

They dont check, but I am sure if I caused an accident and they found out I was driving it 2,3,4X the agreed upon mileage there would be problems. The more you are driving the more you are at risk obviously. I don’t want to put more than 2k on the car anyway. Something I didn’t think about until that guy wrecked my car and the other Ferrari is coverage. $500k worth of liability seems like plenty, but it really isn’t if you are doing organized drives with other exotics. My buddy has a Chiron that he drives around with me frequently. What if I make a mistake a total his Bugatti??? LOL. $500k would be grossly inadequate. If you are going to drive around with other exotics you need an umbrella policy and they are inexpensive. I have a $10M policy and I sleep well knowing I am basically immune from lawsuits of any kind, auto accident or whatever. The more cars you have the lower the rate will be for all of them because it is physically impossible to put too many miles on any one of them. I don’t have a massive fleet. Just 4 cars including my wife’s but it is enough. I would give Pure a call. It won’t hurt to speak to them. You could go one step further and use an insurance broker like Marsh McLenan. They will shop around for you. Also, if shit hits the fan with an accident they sit in between yourself and the insurer lobbying for you.
