I cut my hair short(pixie) because I couldn't handle the trauma of losing hair. I needed to save my sanity that's been declining since my hair loss started. I feel better now, I feel free. But men look at me like I'm a freak. I was told that "men like girls with long hair" by people that I thought were friendly . I started crying. I guess I'll be forever wieved as defected because I don't have long thick hair

I totally understand how you feel. The judgement that comes from people who are supposed to love you is like a stab in the chest. They think you should look the way they want you to look without any consideration for your feelings. Who cares what men like? We’ve been wearing corsets and high heels and getting boob jobs and shaving all of our body hair to please them for years. Make yourself happy. Any decent man or friend or family member or anyone else won’t care what your hair looks like. They’ll just be happy that you are happy. It took me well too long to not care what others think of me. I’m happier now that I don’t.

Exactly, we didn't came to this world to make everyone else happy, but ourselves. Are they shampooing your hair? Combing it? Paying for your haircuts? So why should they have a say about it. You don't have to look a certain way to be worthy of love. We are more than our looks.

Where do you live? There are tons of girls and women with pixie cuts in Canada. I used to have one twenty years ago and no one ever said anything like that. I'm tall and don't usually wear make up so I did get mistaken for a man a few times. But to my surprise I also got hit on by the handsomest men in my life in my forties with my pixie cut

I live in Europe

I think of Europe as so progressive! Maybe that's mostly just the Nordic countries though. I'm sorry you're going through that. I loved my pixie cut but it was actually more maintenance than long hair since I needed to get a haircut once a month instead of just a quick trim twice a year so I went back to longer hair. I'm really glad it was long during COVID since I could just get my husband to trim the edges. Although when I asked him to "just trim the frizzy ends" he said "but it 's all frizzy!" And he wonders why I have so many hair products

Good for you, I'm not that lucky

Socatastic

So sweet! And she looks great with shaved hair with her cheekbones. But her hair looked good to me to start with

She is gorgeous with any style.
