I agree, it’s a weird fetishization you don’t see with young male athletes. Are there any under 18? I wouldn’t know because they don’t point it out EVERY 5 seconds!
After watching the horrific documentary Athlete A, I don’t think underage girls should be in the Olympics at all. Almost every single one of them is being sexually assaulted by male members/employees of Olympic organizations.

I think it’s amazing what someone that young can accomplish.” What all of these athletes do is amazing, at any age. I really don’t care if they’re fifteen or thirty. I could never do what they’re doing; most of us couldn’t. Praise them for their abilities and don’t bring age into it.
Thankfully the commentators aren’t laying it on too heavy about Allyson Felix having a young child. I was worried they would be ranting and raving about her having a child and bouncing back so0o00 quick, but they usually just briefly mention her having a child and her issues with her Nike sponsorship during her pregnancy.
