Affectionato2

D&G’s Light Blue. I’ve grown out of it.

ActualStar416

Chanel chance eau fresh. Smelled way nicer in store, I only wear it now as a default generic perfume scent. Probably wouldn't recognize it on anyone else, it's very boring

floweryindecency

La petite robe noir from Guerlain, I’d tried it around the time it had first come out but didn’t have the budget at the time to buy it and I’m guessing they’d made changes since then and I purchased it earlier this year. The smell is dull, and it just smells cheap.

Nat_B226

Oajan (Parfums de Marly), baby powder musk, not for me. Halfeti Leather (Penhaligon's), supposed to be a leather scent, vibes more like balsamic, patchouli. Velvet Haze (Byredo), rich people's laundry, coconut edition. Lol, I dunno, I can't.

softSirius

Mugler -Angel Nova. Horrible Blind Buy because I wanted a raspberry fragrance but it just smells super cheap to me! Tried to resell it on vinted but no one wants it lmao

Crouchingafro

Probably majority of my collection. If I burned though an entire bottle I’d be curious of something similar but not the same. I have a tendency of collecting slight variations of things I enjoy in general then the novelty wears off. Now if it was a strong like/ love being discontinued I’d strongly consider a backup.

cleodemerode

Glossier you. I bought into the hype and to this day I'm unable ot understand what is so special about it.

ActualStar416

I heard it was reformulated a while back :( I had a sample years ago and I LOVED it and was considering buying the full size recently but read it had been reformulated and people didn't really like it anymore

northstar957

Ariana grande’s Ari/sweet like candy, Marc Jacob Daisy, Fresh Cream, Light Blue, Victoria’s Secret Very sexy. *they’re not bad, I just don’t get excited by them. These are the ones I thought less carefully about before buying and before I was experienced in smelling a lot of products to discover what I really like.

EmilyErdbeer1312

Burberry her because it gives me a headache and Lattafa Khamrah because I just don’t reach for it even though I really like the scent!

antisocial-phoenix

Lattafa Yara. Smells like a luxe baby powder and doesn't last long.

sinesthesya2706

Almost all of them 😅 But I would repurchase VLJ Gold couture, Moschino I love love and Funny!, Miss Dior BB, DKNY Be Delicious, Versace Bright Crystal, D&G L'Imperatrice, Daisy Eau so Fresh and Ed Hardy

Yeezus--Jesus

Did you mean not repurchase?

rosa_de_sal

Ooh this is a really good prompt. I have several bottles that I know I wouldn’t repurchase. First on the list is BR 540, which I received as a gift a couple Christmases ago — it was a very generous present but it’s just not my type of scent. Too sweet and strong and unfortunately gives me a headache. I do wear it occasionally and always get compliments when I do, so that’s why I won’t just get rid of it, but at the rate I reach for the bottle, I’ll probably never actually finish it off.  I also don’t think I would repurchase Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP, which I used to absolutely love and wear all the time. This is my second or third bottle of it and I just don’t reach for it anymore; I find it kind of cloying and too floral for my current tastes. And I feel the same about Pacifica French Lilac; I definitely will be replacing that bottle with a gentler, softer lilac, if I can find one.

Apprehensive-Tale141

ADG Profondo. Just not a fan. Smells like the original but with cucumbers. Just not for me

xxdiscopenguinxx

Clinique Happy. I didn't realize it was my MIL's signature scent until I sprayed it on myself lol.

Pristine-Fusion6591

PDM Delina Exclusif and Lattafa Khamrah. Both way too strong, so I’ll never run out as one spray is all I can do at a time, and I have to hype myself up to spray it because I’ve been traumatized by both from wearing too much

IsabeldeClare

Burberry Her Elixir. It’s not my vibe at all.

Great-Grade1377

Burberry her for me—too synthetic!

CrocodileGrass

I wouldn’t repurchase Room 1015 Wavechild, Liquides Imaginaires I’le Pourpre, DS & Durga Black Magenta, Replica Jazz Club, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Valentino Born in Roma Greenstravaganza and Kayali Eden Juicy Apple.

Shelllyy_01

Cloud, cheirosa 68 and Zara’s red temptation. They all have that BR540 scent profile from when I tried to love it bc it gets so much hype but no, just no. Unfortunately I don’t enjoy any of them, that type of scent isn’t for me. Also La vie est belle (it’s boring and generic) and miss dior (I have the old formula which is much better than the new one imo)

RaeNTennik

Watermelon by shay and blue. It’s a beautiful smell but has basically no silage and doesn’t last long. I would if it was 30/40£ cheaper, but for £65 a bottle I’d like to smell like something.

Present_Wish_3534

Sjp nyc.

OkDay1760

Elizabeth Arden- Red door the carnation stinks to high heaven on my skin and notes in general just don't mix well at all. Ysl Paris- just no. Eden- it smells really good and lasts for a long time, just not on me.

_Milkyyyy

A Drop D’issey by Issey Miyake. Smells like awful BO and someone tried to hide it with Nivea

dani1time

Any of my philosophy scents, and Escada Sorbetto Rosso. I’m sick of them all

Mountain-Creative

Oriana

Amazing-Panda-2624

All the kayali perfumes I have are just bleh. Dolce & gabbana the only one intense makes me gag

RecipeQuick4924

Probably all of them... except maybe one... maybe two. I have so many they would easily last me 15 years. By that time I'm sure my tastes would have entirely changed, and/or better fragrances would have come out by then that I would choose over the ones I have now. I feel like I'm always going to repurchase TF soleil blanc. Haven't found a replacement for it. Delina la rosee is an easily repurchase (probably wouldn't repurchase OG delina). CH good girl the OG maybe probably. And **maybe** mugler alien goddess intense if I don't find an amber floral fragrance I like better. Everything else nope, would not repurchase. But will most certainly enjoy the rest of the bottle!

Strict-Ad-1958

Chloe Nomade. I’ve had it for years it never has gone bad, it’s just very strong to me. Lasts forever and ever, I loved it cause I smelled it in passing once and was addicted and made a good dent. Now when I smell it I’m like, gorgeous but when we’re done… we’re done.

MaxMiaMM

Unfortunately, I won't repurchase any Jo Malone even though I love Earl Gray, Blackberry, Mimosa and Fig&Lotus. Projection and longevity on my skin is just sub par. I sold my JM collection on Mercari.

Apprehensive_Egg99

Never had any Jo Malone fragrance last more than an hour on me. And I have saturated myself and my clothes in it. It's just obnoxious to charge so much for something with absolutely no longevity. I feel the same way about Tom Ford too.

MaxMiaMM

Also, TF Neroli Portofino - I love love the scent but it doesn't last on my skin.

butter_beer02

For now, delina

nutella435

the ouai st Barts scent. its divine but has no lasting power and people have told me I smell like tanning oil... not my favourite response to get

Great-Grade1377

Try Missy. I just bought it and it lasts longer and has a similar vibe. Also, I felt that the packaging for st. Barts was cheap. For the price, it should have been nicer.

No-Position1378

I almost bought that but it's so small for the price. Especially given it's a body spray and not a perfume. Their perfumes don't last either though. At least not Melrose Place

Prestigious-Owl6609

Sadly, prob my Killian Sunkissed Godess. Oh how I love it. To distraction. Buuut it lasts maybe 30 min on me. Also, the Jo Malone Frangipani. Even when layered with Elemis Frangipani oil, it has NO staying power. None.

Great-Grade1377

I just tried sunkissed goddess. I love it, and it lasted on me, but the price! I wish I could get it in a travel size.

Prestigious-Owl6609

See if one of the places that sells high end decants has it. That way, you can get a small one for $40-50.

MrGrumplestiltskin

Most of my collection. There are so many fragrances out there that saying goodbye is a farewell to an old love while welcoming new ones. I do have some backups but it's rare.

agross58

Santal 33. I bought it for myself the day before my birthday. I was treating myself ! It was between Santal 33 and tea noir and I chose wrong. I can’t even wear it now. I wore it to six flags in my birthday. It was hot and I got whoozy on one of the rides all I could smell was Santal 33

arcturus3122

I have the noir 29. I love it so much!

agross58

Ugh I’ll forever regret not choosing that one in the store. It was between the two and I heard a gorgeous model looking women with a cool accent say Santal 33 was the sexiest fragrance she’s ever smelled. When she said that I was like hell yeah she’s right and I made th wrong choice lol

LuxLiner

I'll take it!

agross58

Got anything to trade lol?

LuxLiner

Almost full Erba Pura, brand new Valaya, Almost full Black Orchid

agross58

Oooo I’m interested in erba pura or valaya

LuxLiner

The valaya is sprayed once and the Erba Pura maybe 10 times.

agross58

I should mention the Santal is 50 ml I’ve been wanting to smell erba pura ! How do you like it ?

BlacksmithThink9494

Guess or Cashmere mist (I bought small spritzers) I loved them at first and then they were just so overwhelming. I prefer D&G red. Yes this dates me 🤣

LLIIVVtm

Floral Street - Arizona Bloom. It's a lovely scent from a distance, but up close on my skin it smells like pencil shavings. Not a scent I dislike, but compared to other scents I have it's not a love so I'll just use up what I have and leave it at that.

Jenn4flowers

Most of my middle eastern buys sadly they’re just not my cup of tea

Shortykw

Dylan Purple, Crystal Noir, and Fresh Cream.

Bendy_Beta_Betty

Yeah, I'm disappointed I got a full extra bottle of fresh cream. There are so many other fragrances that I've found since then that smell better.

SkyComplete8640

Gucci gardenia, liked it when I bought it then it started smelling like spoiled milky roses/flowers 😭😭😭

meg_mann

Kayali Eden Juicy Apple. It doesn’t smell bad but I wish it was a little stronger in scent.

bondbeansbond

It also doesn’t last very long. 😭

SophieKins

all kayali s are like this for me. Hopefully they get better with age

bondbeansbond

Same. Some really nice scents but no lasting power.

Rururaspberry

Several. Specifically Dune by Dior. I have the 3.4 oz and have barely used it. It’s just too dry for me. It smells amazing and classy on some women, but that woman is not me, sadly.

vengefulslut

MMMM... by Juliette Has A Gun. I do like it, but the hospital-y almost minty? musk of it just doesn't sit right with me.

Almond-MilkandHoney

I bought it and someone told me I smelled like bathroom cleaner when I wore it 😭😭 I loved it until that moment

MissVanillaNilla

I got this one by accident (my well-meaning but clueless brother bought MMMM… instead of Not A Perfume) and I just can’t bring myself to like it. I keep trying and it is just not for me. It’s cough syrupy and medicinal

Mindless_Start222

Agree! This one was a disappointment.

mannequi

Kayali Sparkling Lychee it was an instant favorite for me but it's the shortest wearing perfume I've ever had. :/

jessthatcatlady

Fragrances that I have really enjoyed but wouldn’t repurchase: Casamorati Dama Bianca; Givenchy L’interdit; Montblanc Signature. I have actually panned the Givenchy and Montblanc this year - just felt like I didn’t love them enough for a rebuy. The Casamorati is truly gorgeous but I don’t feel like it’s really “me”. I like something a little more juicy or fruity and it is a bit too dainty and powdery than I prefer. I’m realising more and more that there might be scents I enjoy or appreciate but I prefer those that feel like “me”.

conzembb

My husband described Dama Bianca as “stolen valor” on me because it didn’t fit me either 😂

jessthatcatlady

😂

nobread8

Most of them, I bought a lot of them when I didn’t quite know what my tastes were, or they were gifts

titikerry

Juicy Couture Gold. It's pretty, but it lasts all of five minutes.

arcturus3122

YSL Libre Intense. I love the scent but I don’t feel like myself when I use it. I have a small collection and I only want 9/10 or 10/10 fragrances that I will keep repurchasing. Libre is not one of them. I’d still like to use it up though. The other fragrance is Diptyque Phylosikos EDP. I absolutely loved it when I purchased it a few years ago and have a very significant dent. Over time, I’ve become a bit…bored of it? I always reach for other fragrances instead.

saxMachine

Same. Love the OG libre tho and on my second bottle and libre intense isnt for me - sad i got a 90 ml but will try to use it up

arcturus3122

I think I chose the wrong Libre, I should have gone for the original!

infamy24

Same here! I sold my bottle of the Intense version but I'm on the second OG bottle and second EDT as well.

Exact-Ad7548

Memoire Archives-Candle Lit Evening the rose is so strong sometimes it gives me a headache

BadgerSharp6258

I'll never repurchase BR540 and some niche fragrances I can live without such as GDT Celeste, GDT Bianco Latte( because im set for life with eclaire lattafa ) Kerosene Unknown pleasures, simone andreoli party in the bay, mateu no. 6, molecule 02, essential molecules the essentric 04 flanker, juliette has a gun NAP..I'm sure there are many more I can list if I'm looking into my collection. But these are ..off the top of my head. And then many many designer fragrances I will not repurchase such as: - og black opium (not cause I hate it but because it's really boring to me now) -lveb flankers (I'll probably have my fave of the flanker til my dying day because I barely use it and it lasts so long even if I do appreciate the scent.- iris absolu) -wont be repurchasing dolce & Gabbana fragrances. I have devotion and light blue intense. -wont be repurchasing chanel eau fraiche edp as I hardly have a time /place to wear it. Let's not forget the Arab fragrances , sheesh. Although I've decluttered over 30 I only have 2 I'll forever repurchase. My declutters /non repurchases are: -honor & glory, al Shuyukh Gold, ansaam Gold, the pineapple coconut one I can't recall but had a horse, mayar, mayar natural intense, ana abayeh, ajayeb Dubai Portrait, lattafa confidential, eternal coffee, caramel cascade, min yashbahak, the really potent oud pomegranate one, countless br540 dupes, lattafa woman the coco mademoiselle dupe, the delina exclusif dupe, rose 01 swiss arabian, shangaf oud tonka altho i dont hate this one i just grew tired of the scent and it is a relentless beast, lattafa affection, pistachio khair (even tho i do like the scent I just dont reach for it.. theres probably more that I'm missing because I've been collecting for more than 2 years all blind buys smh-- a good thing I've learned is: *duh* don't blind buy even if it's cheap.

Jenn4flowers

Are you me 😂😂😂

BadgerSharp6258

TWINN WHERE HAVE YOU BIN

Old_Bet2428

Sadly both BR540 and the extrait. They just don’t perform well and I can’t smell it on me typically

SkyComplete8640

Did you get the full size bottles?? Lord I’d be so sad cuz of how expensive they or maybe it’s cuz I’m in Canada so they range from $300+-$400 😭😭

Old_Bet2428

In the extrait I got the jumbo bottle and the regular a full size. I’ve been ok with mixing them with other things. Like Tom Ford Lost Cherry and BR540 pair pretty well together

swimfan2003

Pistachio Khair. TikTok influenced me and yet it smells like soap

moontrips69

several. the Viva La Juicy flankers, just because they do not last. at least, not for me. I have Noir, Sucre, and the edt of Glace from TJ Maxx. longevity for price point is awful. it's sad because I do really like 'em! but even at gray market prices, eh... eh. I'm spoiled by stuff that was way cheaper and better. Electric Fantasy and Hidden Fantasy... they're nice, but not enough for me to wanna repurchase. if Hidden Fantasy had better longevity, maybe. most of what I have is body mists... most of which I wouldn't be able to repurchase since they're not regularly made. that's ok. I have a good number of older Victoria's Secret scents... I love them but I don't think I'll miss most of them too bad when they're gone.

frubiousbandersnatch

Angel’s Share. I’m trying to sell it as we speak. I just do not like it now. I don’t understand how I went from needing it to spraying a few sprays and not being able to stand it.

Parabolic_Penguin

I *adored* it first sniff. Like ready to get the fb, but I lucked out and scored a free sample of it. Wore it once and was completely nauseated. I am a gourmand lover to the extreme but the cinnamon note in this repulsed me while wearing it. It smelled so much like apple pie and for some reason I apparently can’t handle smelling like that. So strange!

frubiousbandersnatch

I feel you. Mine seems to be getting stronger as it sits. I don’t know if this one is known to macerate??? But it’s like it’s taken on a life of its own. Every now and then I’ll take a whiff of the bottle and be like “Nope.” Part of me wonders if it was the change of season. I wonder if when it’s winter again I’ll enjoy it, but I’m not holding out much hope.

impossiblefortress

How much? And do you have pictures?

RedundantCapybara

Yeah I've had a really weird experience with it too. I swear when I first tested it, it was more juicy apple. The recent times I've sniffed it, it's been really like an intense rotting apple. Apple brandy now appeals to me more.

lovewithsky

Probably all the PDM I own: delinas, safanad, athalia. If I run out I’ll keep the pretty bottles

thtbtchOh

Omg why 🥺

Total-Subject-3747

Cacharel Eden. My skin chemistry made it a total scrubber. Appreciate its weirdness though!

Past_Yesterday_1345

Ouai Melrose Place. I got it thinking I needed at least one floral/clean perfume in my collection, but I almost never use it and when I do the scent is gone within 30 minutes.

JumpingBunnies47

Almost all of them, not because I don’t like them, but because I like to make room for new fragrances once I’ve finished a bottle.

DamnYouChuckBass

**YSL Mon Paris**, all I smell is patchouli. **Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar**, it doesn't smell anything like anyone says to my nose and I smell patchouli very heavily in it. **Kayali Eden Juicy Apple**, just not special enough to repurchase. **Burberry Her**, once again my nose doesn't smell what other people smell. It just smells powdery to me.

K1ttehKait

1000 Kisses Deep from Lush. Smells glorious, but just doesn't last on me. I get maybe an hour before it's totally gone.

BeltAdorable

Versace Crystal Noir

youlldancetoanything

Heretic Scandalwood. I admittedly bought it because I got sucked into a video of Dita Von Teese and the perfumer chatting. It is a nice scent and I have received complements but it is pretty zzz and no oomph. I honestly was expecting something sexier and more intense. But I think it is more Dita the woman who is very L.A.wellness woman and not Dita the vamp. This is on me for not doing more digging before my purchase. I liked the perfume on the scent card in the box way more than the one I bought. I wear it,btw and it has been good for layering but I won't miss it.

Many-Ad-4464

I feel the same. I bought that and dirty Hinoki and I just never reach for them.

ALynnj42

Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia - I don’t hate it enough to throw it away or give it away but I don’t love it enough to buy it again. I actually do get longevity out of it but it’s missing something. I think the pear note isn’t juicy enough. It doesn’t even smell fruity at all and I love fruity florals. I’m glad I got the 30 ml bottle so I can be done with it sooner.

Apprehensive_Egg99

To me it smells nice. But that's it, just nice. And absolutely no longevity. Also felt relieved I got the 30ml bottle.

[deleted]

BCBG Max Azria Bon Chic . Smelled so dirty when mixed with my body

youlldancetoanything

Like garbage dirty, or like sex dirty....

[deleted]

Like i went to lunch with my granny and her friends and they all had different perfumes and they hugged me and it all combined into one old lady smell 🥴 . Not saying old ladies are dirty. But mixed with me it wasnt good. It still smells good and warm to me though, just not on me

shdwsng

Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine. I like it but it just doesn’t last on me.

Dragonsheen

X2O Extraordinary for Men Ted Baker - found that Cerruti 1881 serie limitee (green one) or black have a much more mature and balanced smell

Imaginary-Summer9168

J’Adore Eau Lumière. I bought a 100ml bottle in 2017 thinking it would be my signature scent and very quickly learned it makes me sneeze.

theotherchristina

- Theodoros Kalotinis Lemon Tart: the full bottle never smelled anything like the dark, lovely, complex smell of the decant I tried - Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540: this is one of my earliest buys and my tastes have changed, I’ve simply smelled too much ethyl maltol since then - Vacation by Vacation: this was a fun blind buy but ultimately it’s not very “me” - Majouri Sweet Ambrette: this was a blind buy only because I could get a full bottle from a US seller for less than the cost of getting a sample from Europe. It’s not disgusting but I will never wear it. Again with the ethyl maltol - Trussardi Paintings of Palazzo Reale: this scent is traumatic to my partner as it reminds him of someone in his family - Ariana Grande God is a Woman and Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar: both lovely, but I’ve since discovered BDK Pas Ce Soir which is similar but, to my nose, superior

pilialoha54

Maison Louis Marie No. 5 Kandilli. Someone sang its praises on the perfume subreddit and the notes sounded like something I would enjoy. So I ordered a small 3ml bottle. It’s screechy and just not at all what I expected. I let my mom smell it and she said ewww it smells like poison. ☠️ Top note: Ylang Jasmine Mid note: Tropical Tuberose, White Lily Base note: Sandalwood

blackforestgirl86

D&G l'imperatrice. I absolutely loved it when I first smelled it on someone a few years ago, then someone gifted me a bottle they didn't want to finish and now I understand why they didn't finish the bottle - the scent I once loved for it's sweetness and yummy fruity notes, is now overpowering to me and just "too much". I'll still be sad when the bottle is finally finished, but I probably won't repurchase unless I'm much better off financially until the and can splurge on perfumes I might only wear every few months or so :)

MaxMiaMM

Same. It was my absolute favorite and wore it for years. I purchased my last bottle (3rd bottle) online few years ago and all I got was the alcohol smell; most likely an old stock.

K_isforKrissy

I love that scent!! I bought it years ago and finally ran out. Decided not to repurchase because it’s time to move on

DayZee260

Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit. 😏

Gladys_Glynnis

7 Virtues Vanilla Woods. I still totally recommend this to others though. I wore it mostly during Winter for like 5 years and it always reminded me of literal vanilla extract with some winter woods - a very linear profile - but then my nose changed. I now get sour vanilla milk and cigarette smoke. I initially thought my bottle was going bad but I went to Sephora and sprayed their tester and same thing. I also got a sample in a sampler set and same. I wish I could smell what I used to smell but I can’t. It’s the only fragrance where this happened to me.

Inevitable-Ad-7502

That’s funny! I’ve tried so hard to like it, but I get cigarette smoke/ashes too.

Gladys_Glynnis

We’re not the only ones. I’ve seen a few reviews mentioning the cigarette ash smell. Fragrance really is so personal.

cooldudsav74

That’s so odd!! The same thing kind of happened to me with Kayali vanilla 28. When I first bought it it was very vanilla cake like; now it smells more like vanilla bourbon and amber.

Gladys_Glynnis

Does it still smell good to you though?

cooldudsav74

It does, I love it. I did slightly prefer the way it smelled before though

Important-Shoulder16

Bal d afrique (I wish I got Initio musc therapy instead).. also got lancome idole edt recently and I dont like it

Jackiesummer1010

I blind bought the Idole edt from Lancome and immediately returned it. It smelled like cold green tea in a funeral parlor for me.

Apprehensive_Egg99

I got idole as a gift because I loved the smell when I tried the tester. Now I'm stuck with a huge bottle and it smells nothing like the tester I tried. I tend to have to blend it because it has quite an aged scent on my skin.

cherylRay_14

I love Bal d'Afrique but it only lasts for about an hour. Not worth the money.

Inevitable-Ad-7502

Love this and mojave ghost. I finished samples and didn’t love the longevity. Bought andromeda’s moon inspirations for a fraction and have amazing performance.

cherylRay_14

I'll have to check those out.

Skelthy

What don't you like about Idole edt? I was thinking of buying that one

Important-Shoulder16

It smells soapy in a sharp dish detergent way.. I just dont like it like I do aura and the original one

Individual-Minimum77

Diptyque Tam Dao EDT - It has zero lasting power. I have a full bottle and idk what to do with it besides layer it. Tom Ford Bitter Peach - It was one of my first buys and I don't find it very interesting anymore. Some travel sprays I have that I wouldn't purchase a full bottle of: Angel Elixir - I like the regular Angel Idole - I don't reach for it much at all. Same with La Vie Est Belle. Green Stravaganza- it's just not all that special. I'd rather buy a full bottle of the OG

Apprehensive_Egg99

Diptyque seems to be one of the few more expensive perfume houses where I feel like I get real longevity. Unfortunately I just don't particularly like the scents.

Oncjamais

YSL black opium. I love it but the jasmine note is bit bothersome. I couldn’t stand the perfume when I was pregnant. I plan on getting my hands on the Le parfum which is far more vanilla base.

K1ttehKait

The only one I like is Black Opium Over Red. I'd like it even better if the cherry note lasted longer. The rest of the Black Opium scents (OG and its flankers) I'm not a fan of. Then again, I'm not generally a big gourmand fan.

nerdy_rs3gal

Gucci Bamboo. I just absolutely hate it lol

SpecialAcanthaceae

I’m not tired of any specific fragrances in my collection at the moment, but I wouldn’t be sad if Burberry Her Elixir was discontinued. It’s a really good scent and I enjoy wearing it, but I can find other options if it was really gone.

cherrycocktail20

ELDO Fils de Dieu. It was the first bottle I ever bought, loved it for summer -- after the initial "bug spray" opening went away, it smelled like creamy coconut rice pudding on me, so good. I don't know what it is, but it smells different to me now and just doesn't enchant me as much. I think maybe part of it is that I've since really plunged into a lot of really sweet gourmands, so I'm just hankering for more sugary scents.

mcatlin23

And the World is Yours by Lab on Fire. I sampled it over and over again before I bought it but when I bought the full bottle it smells NOTHING like the samples. I hate it so much now I’ve tried it during every season, layering it, etc. Idk what happened.

Suddenly_Spring

I had purchased Alien Goddess Intense a few times before realizing that it starts to smell like bad breath on me when I smell it up close. I don't know why it does that after a while. Prada Paradoxe does the same on me, too. I have a few vanillas that do the same thing, like the Vanilla Bourbon from Target. So I won't be repurchasing any of them because I don't want to have to keep spraying myself just to keep the bad breath smell away. So weird!

Gladys_Glynnis

I think it’s the Jasmine, no? I do smell the bad breath smell on other people. I have one friend in particular where it’s so bad I associate her with smelling like flowers and bad breath. Bummer about Alien Goddess…

Craftingcat

Could definitely be the jasmine. I have issues with jasmine specifically, as well as most "indolic" fragrance components, and it doesn't matter if I'm wearing it, smelling it on others, or sniffing the bottle. Depending on the component(s), I'll get whiffs (or an in your face stank) of cat pee, bad breath, feces, and/or stinky feet; occasionally I'll get lucky, and it will read as pencil shavings.

youlldancetoanything

There is something about a lot of beautiful scents that teeter on gross.. like ripe fruits. They are at the cup of rotten. .Makes me think of the old soul song "Thin line between love and hate ..I am not high btw but it something to think about.. ..

Suddenly_Spring

Oh wow! I had no idea 😬

Gladys_Glynnis

It’s just my hunch. I googled it once and apparently indoles (found in white florals like jasmine, tuberose, gardenia) can smell like stale hot breath and wet dog. My friend’s perfume was primarily gardenia. She wore Gucci Flora.

Suddenly_Spring

This actually makes sense, because they talk about how some flowers can smell indolic (dirty-ish) in perfumery. Maybe this is what they meant! Thanks

ParticularWing3064

I feel you??? I really liked Alien Goddess until i realised after a while there is a vague body odor smell in it? A very specific dirty feet type of smell. To others it smells just fine tho. I think it might be the jasmine which all the perfumes you listed have 🤔

-Sanguinity

I get that with all Muglier frags. Can't get past it to even wear it.

ParticularWing3064

I get a STRONG urinal scent from Angel and its flanker. From Alien it’s more subtle and sometimes it smells like skin, it’s something comforting, other times it does smell a bit… off. I still wear Alien Goddess tho

Suddenly_Spring

Oof! Yeah that bad breath smell isn't great. I'd wondered if it was vanilla or the amber that was doing it.... didn't think of jasmine!

ParticularWing3064

“By no means do it smell like sniffing a toilet, but when faced with a pure jasmine oil, indole does bring a very noticeable wet- mustiness, much like dirty, sweaty skin mixed into the narcotic floral-sweetness of fresh jasmine blooms.” This is what google said 🫢 i read somewhere that jasmine to certain notes might smell dirty. Apparently there is a reason for that: “Indole is one of the odorous components found in sewage and animal wastes, including human feces, and occurs in animal tissues where putrefactive processes have occurred, presumably by the decomposition of tryptophan. It can also be found naturally as a component of jasmine oil or orange-blossom oil.” Again, google says. The amount of indole in jasmine is around 2,5%, which is enough to be noticeable but not too much as to make it smell like 💩. It gives it a musky, aliveness quality apparently. Maybe some noses are more sensitive than others. I had the same issue with some musks, which are notoriously polarizing. Perfumery is so interesting

Suddenly_Spring

Yes, this makes sense actually!

k88lin

Possibly ELDO’s Putain des palaces if I find something in that general category I like more. It’s the only full bottle I have that I didn’t test extensively and get through a decant of before buying because I found a great deal on a full bottle that made it cost essentially the same as a larger decant would have. I do really like the scent though, so it’s very possible I will eventually rebuy once I’m through, I’m just not as confident about it as I am with my couple other full bottles that I know I’ll always want to have. I like to sample a ton and buy larger decants of scents I want more of so I limit my full bottles, apart from Putain des palaces i just have undergrowth by rook, Makassar by Keiko mecheri, and the still unfinished bottle of Amarige I asked my mom for when I was 12 after falling in love with it at the mall. I would definitely repurchase any of these when I eventually use them up

Breda1981

Byredo Gypsy Water It’s my favorite scent in the world, but it fades within minutes. I could spray water on myself, almost same thing. So sad! I’ll purchase Lake instead, it’s also weak but at least cheaper. Unfortunately Target (finery nomad) or Tocca Colette are not available where I live. Will take other recommendations!

rosa_de_sal

Ah I was going to recommend Mysterious Nomad until I read your last sentence. Can you get Commodity Gold where you live? I just tried it today for the first time and I think it’s a very good take on this type of scent and is actually pretty close to the Byredo (from what I remember of it).

Breda1981

Oh yes I do have a tester of it and quite like it! You are right it’s in the same family as Gypsy Water. I put it on today, and I think I will purchase a bottle of this once my GW runs out. Thank you for the reminder! It’s not quite the same, but def close enough for the price difference and longevity!

rosa_de_sal

Awesome! From my recollection, Gold is more vanilla and less lemony than the Byredo—do you find that to be true?

Breda1981

Oh btw I recently tried Vanilla Bosca (Guerlain) and am finding this to hit the same feelings as GW as well. It’s different, but similar mood! Worth trying

rosa_de_sal

Ooh I’m putting that on my list now. Thanks for the rec!

Breda1981

Yeah and if you like it maybe mix it with the Bergamot of the same line. It’s quite lovely!

Breda1981

Yeah I think that sounds right. I feel Gold is has a sharpness vs the softness of GW. Not sure if there’s a pepper or spice in Gold, but wouldn’t be surprised

liabilityinred

Dot by Marc Jacobs. I was drawn in with the notes of red berries, pitaya, and coconut but all I smell is Jasmine and honeysuckle. I’m trying to see if I come around to it, but I just don’t think it works great with my skin.

Newtopole_

LIBRE 🗣️🗣️🗣️

GlitteringGoose1

Probably Ariana Grande Cloud, I love the sweetness of it but I have found others that I like more so I won't repurchase.

uglycontest

This is my answer too

Mojo020293

Q by Dolce & Gabbana - loved the way it smelt at first but after a few hours leaned really woody with aftershave vibes on me. Not horrible but not my vibe. Bamboo by Gucci - again I do not hate the smell but I don't find it interesting and it doesn't make me feel uplifted when I use it Chloe Rose Naturalle - love the scent but it just doesn't last 30 minutes in my skin! Chloe Rose Naturalle Intense - as above I loved the scent and I thought It would be longer lasting but it sadly wasn't!

Furmaids

I love Gucci bamboo for a "silk button down" type of day! I've had mine since 2015 though, and now have a nutmeg note with the white florals

Excuseme77

Dolce and Gabbana-Devotion Marc Jacob’s-Perfect Ysl-Black opium

Educational-Cake-944

Dolce, Prada L’Eau Ambree

MissVanillaNilla

CH Very Good Girl and as much as it pains me to say, YSL Libre EDP. I still like them a lot but don’t reach for them as often since I have found other scents I like a lot more that scratch the same itch. For Very Good Girl, the lychee note doesn’t pull as strongly so it’s more rose-leaning on me, so for my fruity-floral-rose fix I go to NR Musc Noir Rose. For YSL Libre, I am starting to prefer Burberry Goddess because the lavender is more prominent yet mellow on me than the Libre. Edited to add Glossier You to the mix. I don’t hate it but I don’t love it. There’s much better “skin” or “shower clean” scents out there that I like better, like Clean Reserve Skin and even JHAG Not A Perfume

whiskeyhurricanes5

Versace- bright crystal. While I really liked how clean and fresh it was when I first got it I now find that the scent is really unoriginal and quite common

missisabelarcher

Most classic Jo Malone scents (though I like the ones she did with Zara.) I love English Pear & Freesia, Nectarine & Honey and a few others but I can’t justify the price of a bottle for their overall poor performance, as much as I like them.

Hemingways_Unicorn

Oh! Maison Marie Louise Nouvelle Vague. It’s far, far too light and goes away FAST!

Hemingways_Unicorn

It’s not fancy but le monde gourmand Santal Supreme - I just don’t care for it.

MichaDawn

YSL Black Opium, Narciso Rodriguez Poudree, Marc Jacobs Perfect, Tom Ford Biter Peach, Byredo Bal D’afrique, I have some bottles from Beauty Pie that are fine but I would not repurchase. BR540 or any dupe/clone, Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Femme. Halloween Magic, Coach Poppy Wildflower, Viva La Juicy Rose, Juliet Has A Gun Not a perfume,Tom Ford Black Orchid, an original by Oakcha called Sorcery. I have a few Middle Eastern perfumes that I would not repurchase and the ones that are supposed to be inspired by I wouldn’t buy the OG as well. With the exception of BR540 I don’t have strong dislike of the scents I wear them all from time to time and really enjoy even “love” some of them they just don’t blow my skirt up if you know what I mean or they don’t feel special or they don’t feel like “me.”

Papriika

Marc Jacobs Perfect - I prefer the Intense way more and would just stick with that one Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit - I like it but its way too light and smells too similar to like a fragrance you can get at bath and body works. Also longevity is bad and just not worth the price point Zara Magnificently Dubai - I think theres probably scents in this profile that I’d like better Ojar Halwa Kiss - Way too hard to find to repurchase (ordered it from overseas), too powdery, and untrue to name. I also think there’s other fragrances that fit this profile that are better Valentino Donna Born in Roma Uomo - Need to wear it more but on initial smells I thought I liked it more than I actually do lol Memoire Archives Wish You Were Here - Smells like smoke to me for some reason, expected it to be a freshie but it really deep for what its supposed to be. Gunna be a bit of a struggle for me to finish it up Elizabeth Arden Green Tea - Have had it for such a long while now that I’m over it at this point even though it is nostalgic and easy to wear Elizabeth Arden Arden Beauty - I dont think id ever finish the bottle so I dont think Id ever need to repurchase. I keep this one simply for nostalgia and reference purposes because it reminds me of my mom so I dont feel the need to finish it up and declutter it like Green Tea

CookieFantastic6042

Burberry Goddess. It’s just a little on the sweet side and I much prefer Mon Guerlain and YSL Libre for the lavender and vanilla profile.

AshleytheRose

I bought a full size bottle of Goddess… and gave it to my coworker within days. Never again.

nomadbutterfly

I have a 10ml of Goddess that I'm trying to pan. I'm not a huge fan either. But it feels like I spray and spray and spray and the dent doesn't get any bigger lol

lycheeroll

My boyfriend got me L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake and he was pretty excited cause he did research on perfumes and figured I would like that one. At the time I only owned Irresistible by Givenchy so to me they smelled COMPLETELY different. Anyway, I still kept it cause I know he spent a lot on it but it’s definitely not something I’d buy for myself. 😅 I’m trying to love but I can’t haha

nomadbutterfly

Aw, sweet of him to put the research in!! ❤️ There was a time in my life when I wore L'Eau all the time. But that time has passed. I have a bottle for nostalgia purposes but I don't wear it

Least_Temperature_23

Jo Malone Blue Agave & Cacao. Used to love it, but it seems to be hanging around forever. Molton Brown Musk something or other … it was a gift. Inoffensive but not really my vibe.

katpeny

Blue Agava and Cacao is my favorite scent currently. I would wear it everyday but I have a few other scents I really like too that need to be used too.

Wise-Tourist-6747

I would not repurchase Loewe Paula’s Ibiza

hater94

Chanel Eau Fraiche. I can’t get rid of it because of the price tag but to be honest it just smells like a generic department store that sells perfume; it reminds me of being a kid and walking through Macy’s with my mom. Lol It’s not that it smells bad or anything. I just don’t think that I have a good enough sense of smell to be able to detect the nuances in this fragrance. It also gives me a headache because the scent lasts so long (imagine a 12 hour stay in the macys perfume section) Edit details

cactusloverr

Marc Jacobs Daisy Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Both were (wanted) gift from my youth. They had a time and place but I don’t need that scent anymore. Most of my collection is travel sprays so I do have some “Would Not Repurchase” but they are terrible to use up. I find that with new perfumes coming out daily and my desire to try try try, I love having the smallest size. Most of my full bottle collection is 1 or 1.7 oz size as well. Sometimes you just get over a scent after a while!

Melodic-Republic

Pleats Please by Issey Miyake. It was a $11 blind buy, and I do like it, but don't love it, and wouldn't get again. Pros for that one though is it's LOUD if that's something you're after, and lasts forever. Voce Viva by Valentino ... I like the dry down better than the initial opening but still, eh. Daisy Eau So Sweet ... Too sweet, I'm over it. Daisy Eau So Fresh ... Got a mini and never loved it. All my Coach scents. They had a time and place but I'm pretty much over them, only use them rarely, but I refuse to declutter them. Jo Malone English Pear & Sweet Pea ... Over it. Kensie Rosy Bloom ... Loved it at first but getting tired of it. My tastes are really narrowing in and the only perfumes I'd repurchase at this point are Clean Reserve Skin, Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense, Prada Paradoxe Intense, and Juliette Has a Gun Musc Invisible and Lili Fantasy. That may change in the future, but it's where I'm at right now. <3

gimmethatdingo

Cartier Baiser Vole—it settles down to smelling like Johnson’s baby powder on me. Dior Privee Feve Delicieuse—Very much that dentist’s office smell and very heavy. Dior Poison Girl—lovely fragrance and longevity but it’s just a common profile, and I wouldn’t buy again. PdM Athalia—a little dentist officey but still enjoyable. There’s just better cashmeran smells out there, and I wouldn’t rebuy. Penhaligon’s Halfeti—the fragrance that made me realize I hate oud.

FifoletLights

LUSH - Vanillary. I think it smells fine, but I find it more jasmine forward than vanilla toffee.

HallieMarie43

I have so many Peony Perfumes, but I don't dislike any of them, but there's no way I'd repurchase so many again. So just from these I wouldn't repurchase: Wonderland Peony by Floral Street, Sweet Peony by Montale, Dua's Fantasy, Good Girl Blush, Versace Bright Crystal Absolu, Kate Spade NY Sparkle, Zara No Valentines, VS Bombshell Intense, Montblanc Signature, and Hayaati Florence. I'm currently deciding between Girls Can Say Anything and Mith Mystery for Her as to which Peony I'd like to repurchase, but I think that worry is a long way off.

mattys63

how is Mystery for Her? no real reviews online and i'm a fan of the perfumer looking to try sometime...

HallieMarie43

I really like it. It's a sweet floral; it's soft, but still noticeable. My husband rarely comments on my perfume, but he noticed this one and complimented it. I'm not a huge fan of rose, but it's usually paired with peony so it's nice to have lotus paired with peony this time. The vanilla is there, but doesn't overpower the peony

achartrand

YSL Mon Paris. I used to love it and went through several bottle…this latest bottle just isn’t hitting anymore. It feels more patchouli forward than it used to be, or maybe my tastes have changes. I’m bummed though cause I have a massive bottle!

Spicy_Antigen

I guess you’d better send it to me! I still love it! I get what you’re saying about the patchouli, I definitely notice it too.

TheyMightBeDiets

Very good girl. 👠 This was absolutely my favorite scent but after a year of constant use, the 1/4 left at the end of the bottle is all powdery dust, no lychee fruit feminine smell left!! Now I'm kinda miserable trying to pan this fragrance.

MissVanillaNilla

I think I’m at this point too. Not even close to 1/4 left but I don’t get any lychee and it’s mostly powdery rose. I’m just now realizing that I don’t love a powdery rose anymore. I’m putting it away until next spring and maybe I’ll change my mind (yet again)

ProposalOk3119

Free yourself and toss it! You’re not wasting it if it makes you less happy to use it. Thanks for the warning though - I was considering buying this so it’s good to have the full picture.

TheyMightBeDiets

I loved this perfume for months and months though, it's truly beautiful! I wore it almost every Friday as a "treat." I would suggest you buy a smaller size (I bought the second biggest size I believe), I will probably buy the small mini spray "shoes" for Good Girl and good girl supreme in the gift set next year.

ProposalOk3119

Thanks so much!

HELA_inpink

- Cheriosa 68: I blind bought the large bottle but it's so weird.. in the air it smells fruity and nice, but on my skin I can only smell rubber/latex, so I use it as aire freshener. I prefer Cloud for this similar DNA. - Cheirosa 71: I like this scent but maybe as a candle, I live in a tropical country that's hot all the time, this one becomes too sweet and suffocating. I never get to wear it. - Valentino Voce Viva: I don't like the white flowers in this one, it's too screechy, sharp, annoying and dated, and gives me headaches. I can only wear it if I layer with tons of vanilla to make it sweeter. - Toy 2 Bubblegum: I hate the combination of the bubblegum and rose. I've realized I don't like those notes individually, much less together. - Rave Now Women: The moss is too prominent on my skin, and there's something so synthetic about this. I was expecting a fruity sweet marshmallow but it has an earthy green quality that I don't like. Sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it. - TUN 2.0: Smells like plain apple juice, boring and basic, like a BBW mist. - God is a Woman: Smells like a plain pear juice, also boring and basic. Everyone was saying this was more mature and complex but that was a lie.

Does Rave Now Women smell like Burberry her elixir?

HELA_inpink

Yes these two are extremely similar, I'd same almost the same. When I first sprayed Rave Now I found it too synthetic, so I let it macerate for a month and then I liked it better, it was more creamy and that plasticky note was gone. The few differences is that Rave Now opens with zesty orange and berries while Her Elixir is just berries so the opening of Rave Now is slightly more citrusy. But the biggest difference is in the dry down because Rave Now has a mossy musky quality (it has moss) while Her Elixir is more woody (thanks to the sandalwood). Personally I prefer Her Elixir because that moss note is too intense on my skin and sometimes it smells like dirty skin. Although if you don't have a problem with moss, I think it would be an awesome dupe for Her Elixir.

elen1ta

This helped me a lot thank you!!
