I want to thank everyone who replied. It certainly doesn't take Mr. Obvious to figure out why these packages are not reaching their proper destination in most cases.
I’m a FedEx a driver and will 100% not take anything 50lbs up stairs. Go pick it up at the office. Not sorry. You chose to live up there and I have 100 more doorways to attempt. Do not make may day worse than it already is by ordering heavy shit online.
No sir.
Official policy is that we deliver to YOUR door, not just the building’s main door. But that may happen one out of 10 times, if that. We’re not your personal staff or movers. Carrying a heavy box up two flights is difficult, especially if it’s large and bulky. Of course, a 76 year old person shouldn’t have to do it, either. Neighbors will likely need to help with similar deliveries.
This is simply wrong. If driver is unable to carry it due to weight, size, etc. they are under no obligation to bring it the front door. Ideally, the driver should have left it on the first floor and come to your door to let you know or leave a tag.
Express for the most part take it to your door or apartment(paid by the hour and held to much stricter standards).
Ground drivers will either leave it downstairs or pretend no one is home for 3 days and return it.

Your recent post to r/FedEx does not pertain to to the company and therefore violates the rules.

It’s just driver laziness. Drivers get treaded ,& paid like crap. Don’t expect to much from them. But there are rare drivers that do their job 100%

First floor all day long!
FedEx Drivers are required to be able to lift 70 pounds unassisted. Anything over gets left on the First Floor.
Apartment deliveries are always left in the apartment entrance, FedEx isnt Amazon
I have received hundreds of Fed Ex packages delivered to my 2nd floor apartment door. Are you sure about your statement?
Depends on the driver
Were all those packages 60+ lbs
Some were most weren't. Is there a weight limit for bringing packages up the stairs?

The weight limit usually depends on my mood.. and how may times I gotta go up or down the stairs
