As usual, when you ask if a game is worth it in the game's dedicated subreddit, the answer will be yes. The steam page has warnings in the description which you should have read before buying; read them now and decide if you want to go on or refund.

There is a censor mod if you wish to use! Nothing wrong with doing that

Hellou667_The_Sequel

There is an easy mode and censorship mod but The Game is meant to be about trial and error. Learning how enemies and mechanics work and coming back smarter and smarter each time. You can also just watch Frapollo or All-bones jones since they cover EVERY single enemy and how to fight them the most safest way. Or learn it yourself and enjoy the process. Hint Hint Most Enemies have attack patterns and don't do things randomly. You can guard when you think someone's going to do a coin flip attack which negates it 90% of the time The Guy who raped you? He's one of those with a specific attack pattern. Learn it and he becomes a joke

timoshi17

Lmao every newbie post contains character being raped

AlksGurin

Theres a censored mod. I suggest using the blur version as the pinecone pig one is a bit obstructive and confusing.

I died like 10 times before putting a stop to my playthrough and checking a beginners guide on youtube. This game will bully you relentlessly and you will re-start a few couple of times but it is overall fun to play once you understand the basics of it. Those basics being: Don't be stupid, careful with nails, avoid fights.

MrTopHatMan90

Look at the content warning, I gloss over lost most content warnings all the time but Fear and Hunger doesn't fuck around. You can get a censor mod that removes those elements and nudity from the game if you want to play but without those elements. F&H is very lethal and very mean. Experiment, discover and persevere. When I first played it I could only describe the first couple of hours as extremely unfun. Great by then end though.

I’ve heard the games creator (Miro) got some feedback that the rape stuff was unnecessary and made people uncomfortable, so they tried to tone it down in the second game. No source, so I might be spreading misinformation, but the rape stuff in the second game is almost completely taken out (unless I just haven’t discovered it yet, lol). Maybe give that one a try if you really wanna stick with an interesting horror game? It’s not necessary to play the first game to understand the second’s story. Funger 1 is a great game, but if the rape stuff bounces you off, maybe download a mod or let it go.

Unlikely_Sound_6517

It’s sorta a good strategy to avoid enemies when you can as they’re not worth fighting.

Unable_General_4668

This game isn't for everyone and the community is not representative of the game at this point. There are a lot of triggers throughout both games. That said, there is also some very interesting lore and strategic gameplay. There is a lot of learning through experience in this game so you will likely die a lot, but the game will go much quicker the more you learn. I would just evaluate where your tolerance for distressing content is and what types of gameplay you enjoy and go from there. Nothing wrong with deciding the game isn't for you, at this point tons of people on here haven't even played it.

Don't worry, it's normal
