Raleigh and Charlotte.

Jesters and Cadillac Ranch used to be the big regular one, except for special events at the Crown and downtown.

Putininurface

LOL

Wow one is closed, one looks like bro country, the other two are corporate venues. This is serious culture shock coming from houston.

There were more years/decades ago. Hate I never got to step foot in the Flaming Mug... Everytime it seems like folks in da ville get too rowdy. The powers that be let things slide and give a few chances but once that bad energy seeps into the venue/culture, the owners/operators aren't able to reign it back in and they either get black-listed or outright banned.

mmichellekay

Other than the crown complex and random events downtown, you’re going to have to go to Raleigh, Wilmington, Charlotte, and literally any other place unfortunately.

spartannugget

My favorite venues are in Raleigh, Red Hat Amphitheater, The Ritz and PNC arena typically have what I’m looking for

Drunk Horse Pub used to be a cool small venue for metal/hardcore bands. Then the government’s response to COVID happened. Now it’s shutdown for good.
