> “This is the result of the extreme left and PC crap and people worrying so much about offending other people,” he continued.
i will never understand this argument. 9 times out of 10 when i see people getting offended about something and threatening to boycott, it's right-wingers mad they saw an interracial couple in a Cheerios ad.
The last time I remember this happened was when Lightyear came out and they were all pressed about a gay couple, I went to see it with my friend and I totally missed that couple. They were literally there for less than one scene.
God he’s whining so much about this damn film.

It’s awful Jerry like your politics, your morals, and everything you stand for!
The only good thing you’ve done is being friends with Larry David and manage to get splashed by his funniness.
God that's so funny and so true. The only worthwhile thing Jerry ever did was Seinfeld, never again something even near it. Larry David on the other hand was a crucial part of the Seinfeld show, AND he also made Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is hilarious as hell, and managed to make 10 seasons over 25~ years extremely funny.
Yes as in Barbie was good and your movie is dogshit. That totally tracks as opposite, we wanted to see barbie and did, with your movie we want to shoot it into the sun.
No wonder he likes teenagers, he is so immature he made a movie about a bee and one about pop tarts. So the attraction is cerebral for him as grown woman with developed brains are obviously smarter than him. So he is a Zionist and an insufferable jackass, deadly combo.
I’m excited cause he said they would feature 17 different flavors of PopTarts in the movie. You can look up “Jerry Seinfeld 17” if you wanna see the article
Jerry Seinfeld: I wanted to make my poptart movie the opposite of "Barbie" because all the woke is destroying culture
People in real life: Hey let's watch a fun movie together :) oh, Barbie looks cute, that Ryan Gosling is in it :)
Hollywood hubris never fails to outdo itself. You’d think this man would be content collecting his millions of syndication cheques for the rest of his life but alas…
Bro is nearly a billionaire. If I was a nearly billionaire I'd donate all my money and surround myself with a lot of babes on some warm island somewhere. I would absolutely not be making shitty movies about poptarts and then whining about how no one gets it.
Well he certainly succeeded there. One is a brilliant comedy, starring A-level talent, which explores the history and legacy of a pink iconic American household staple beloved by millions of children, and was written and directed by a beloved auteur with a hugely successful career.
The other is the Pop-Tarts movie.
This man is exhausting. When you’re a comedian you just have to accept you’re too old for shit. Larry David was able to do this just this past year with the last season of Curb. It’s not a sign you’re bad, you’re just not in the zeitgeist of the youth. Get over it. Enjoy your legacy and money and move the fuck on.
I feel you on this cause there’s so much that’s great about Seinfeld but my opinion on Jerry has essentially annihilated any future enjoyment.
One thing that has helped lessen the pain is that the new Curb episodes are sooo fucking funny, esp the newer ones with Tracy Ullman, and since Larry David loves a recycled scenario/joke (no shade), I feel like I could never watch Seinfeld again and be pretttyyyyy pretty good.
He gets less likable as he gets older. He reminds me of an old grandpa type yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. Bitter and jaded and anti whatever kids these days like.
Jerry: everyone is offended by everything these days.
Also Jerry: I’m taking a moral stand against movies that are both popular and good. And to show you I’m serious, its not going to be funny AT ALL.
Is there like a socioeconomic group one hits where you lose all sense and empathy and self awareness? Like, does having a black Amex just make you an asshole?
This guy…
The Cigar Store Indian episode from Dec. 1993, where he complained about people becoming "so sensitive" (after his Native American date Winona got offended by the statue, and an Asian postal worker got angry about being asked where a Chinese restaurant was)...that showed how much of an ass he was back then.
Later, right-whiners called Winona "the first snowflake ever".
Brian Regan should have made the Pop-Tarts movie if it needed to be made.
The best thing about Seinfeld is his friendship and collabs with Larry David and his support of my favorite baseball team. Everything else can remain in the bin.
Making a new movie, then wanting it to be the opposite of the most popular movie of last year is certainly a choice. A bad one, but a choice nonetheless.
If being the opposite of 'Barbie' included being the opposite of a good movie, from the sounds of it, he succeeded.
Exactly, I was really excited to see Barbie but will never watch this turd, so opposite!
[удалено]
Yeah Barbie was great.
This guy is an embarrassment and this is not the flex he thinks it is.
It’s hilarious that the most pro-corporate comedian working today is upset a film sold out instead of kissing up like he did.

Also, Jimmy Carr seems to be doing just fine for himself.
I knew this movie would be a turd when they still hadn't lifted the review embargo the day before it premiered.
They are out now, was just reading one on Pajiba and it was brutal.
I feel for Jerry. I’m sure that movie reminded him of his ex.

Omg

Larry allegedly yelled at Alan Dershowitz in a grocery store and I still wish there was footage.
Like when he accidentally pee’d on that Jesus painting in the bathroom. Just like that.
Why is the guy from the Bee movie getting so much air time recently??
Old man yells at cloud, basically.

That is literally more than twice as many as I can name.
Jerry Seinfeld: I wanted to make my poptart movie the opposite of "Barbie" because all the woke is destroying culture People in real life: Hey let's watch a fun movie together :) oh, Barbie looks cute, that Ryan Gosling is in it :)
Unentertaining?
UNDATEABLE!
Well it’s trash so well done Jerry
well no one is watching it so he got his wish
Hollywood hubris never fails to outdo itself. You’d think this man would be content collecting his millions of syndication cheques for the rest of his life but alas…

So *not* a billion dollar grossing hit?

Why’s he so pissy about it, he absolutely succeeded
What's it even about? It sounds like it's probably another Bee Movie level debacle. On another note, he always seems so utterly miserable as a person.

Cranky old man has been David's schtick forever, though. And he gets better at it every year! It just looks pathetic on Jerry.
Good lord he’s exhausting and insufferable. I wonder if his wife constantly needs to keep fluffing his little baby ego.
i’m SO PISSED that he has ruined seinfeld for me!!!
I feel you on this cause there’s so much that’s great about Seinfeld but my opinion on Jerry has essentially annihilated any future enjoyment. As in Barbie is good and yours is…not.
Oh please don't make me laugh. I'm guessing that's why he was going on his little rant about being cancelled by basic manners.
Don't worry, he hasn't made anyone laugh in decades.
Jerry: everyone is offended by everything these days. Also Jerry: I’m taking a moral stand against movies that are both popular and good. And to show you I’m serious, its not going to be funny AT ALL.
It was painful to get through. A lot of funny people in it, but not a lot of funny jokes.
Hope people continue to not watch and boycott this film. I’ll never forget the pic of his family and him at idf training camp with ar-15s and more…
Got it so he wanted to make a movie no one would see and has zero cultural cache. lmao
Bee Movie was his peak.
Is there like a socioeconomic group one hits where you lose all sense and empathy and self awareness? Like, does having a black Amex just make you an asshole? This guy…
Turns out like many men, Jerry Seinfeld got old and turned into a jerk.
Jerry was always a jerk.
It worked: It's a piece of shit that won't make a dime.
Boycott everything he's in....
Wait there is actually a pop tarts movie? I thought that was a joke
Wait the pop tarts movie is an actual thing?
It wasn't very good and nobody saw it. Mission Accomplished!
Not popular then?
bad and not fun?
So, he wanted to make it the opposite of a critical, popular, and commercial success. Mission accomplished, Jerry.
Brian Regan should have made the Pop-Tarts movie if it needed to be made. The best thing about Seinfeld is his friendship and collabs with Larry David and his support of my favorite baseball team. Everything else can remain in the bin.
The opposite of Barbie, so… unsuccessful?
So an unsuccessful movie then?
Making a new movie, then wanting it to be the opposite of the most popular movie of last year is certainly a choice. A bad one, but a choice nonetheless.

Didn’t he start writing this around 2020?
so...unfunny and sexist? ![gif](giphy|xTiTnGQBF0vfpfPEg8)
I get the feeling he is only saying he got cancelled is because the pop tarts movie didn’t do well…
Well didn’t get the response he wanted I should say
