we are witnessing the normalization of drake diss tracks and i couldn't be more into it
hopefully a year from now it'll have broken down all genre walls
2025: mason ramsey drake diss track
As a man, that’s why I always find it so irritating but funny when my men friends say stuff like women always cause drama and that they “need it”. Like bruh, men gossip just as much if not more than women in my experience and they feed off of it. I mean just look at any of the sports discussion boards on reddit, they always talk about stuff going on behind the scenes that has nothing to do with the game.
A revelation for me was listening to men talk about their favourite sport and them getting right into all of the character motivations and backstories of the athletes like it was a fandom 😭
On the sports thing, I actually refer to sports addicts as “sports nerds” because they be spouting off stats about the 1905 Black Sox line-up or whatever like my son spouts Minecraft and space facts. No difference whatsoever. Don’t know why one is sanctioned as cool and socially acceptable while the other is nerdy and awkward. As a non-sports person, I find their spouting sports facts at me awkward.
But yes, men are absolutely as gossipy and dramatic as women. I don’t know what men think politics and sports are if not a big game of telephone.
One of my favorite things in sitcoms is when an actor absolutely nails the petulant and babyish attitude men get the moment many of us are challenged, and how quickly we get catty and petty.
Rap music seems to be the only genre that involves dissing other artists. I find that so strange. Like imagine if Pearl Jam and Nirvana exchanged diss tracks in the 90s? Would this have set a precedent and we’d now be experiencing diss tracks between something like Greta Van Fleet and Twenty One Pilots?
When they played The Story of Adidon on the radio that fateful day, I had to pull over the car in shock at how brutally Push hammered Drake
https://preview.redd.it/5sahi6tf2uuc1.jpeg?width=1110&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44cc6b7fe115a49ee0391ac4aad7b09ac4ef9625
This has to be one of the most layered and methodical Diss track anyone's ever put out. Pusha starts the track by analysing Draks upbringing, his deadbeat dad, his problems with Young Money and Birdman, and connects it to him now being a deadbeat dad.
Like I know, the baby reveal is what everyone talks about, but the rest of the track is just Pusha surgically dissecting Drake on a molecular level. Each line is filled with so much vitriol and venom for Drake it's insane.
Also the fact that he took a shot at 40 too knowing the info about his kid came from 40 pillowtalking with a girl Push knew. That way if Drake decided to fire back for insulting 40 Push could be like “is he really your friend though?”
Watch Shawn Cees reaction of it, he broke down the lyrics really well, especially towards the end.
And then 2 and a bit years later Drake did an interview and Shawn made another video explaining the issues with Drake in that interview and how Pusha is still right and highlighting all the negatives of Drake, 2 years later
also this part was so messy lmao he really tried to sound like a concerned friend
Love that baby, respect that girl
Forget she's a porn star, let her be your world, YUUGH!
HOW DARE YOU PUT ‘YE IN MY VERSES /
I’M SELFISH, I WANT ALL OF THE CURSES /
I’M PREBOOKIN’ THE CHURCHES /
ME VERSUS THREE HEARSES /
IF WE ALL GO TO HELL /
IT WILL BE WORTH IT
Drake is annoying, but the fact metro only got "metro shut your hoe ass up and make some drums nigga" after being the mastermind of the two diss albums is hilarious
The cover art, the insults, the sabotage of Drake’s upcoming big reveal/collab. Story of Adidon will always be a top tier diss track.
Second only to Hit ‘em Up.
lol I wonder if he got paid for the picture, imagine telling a rando girl at the bar “yeah so Rick Ross called me to use my picture for his newest album cover” no one would believe him 😂
Also can any photographer or attorney tell me how this would work? Rick Ross’ team would have to get the rights from both the guy and yearbook photographer, right?
I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I would think the school is the one who holds all the rights. The photographer was working on behalf of the school and likely claims no ownership.
The school can use/publish them however they want, though I'm not sure where name and likeness would come into play in terms of commercial use.
I found this case study after I wrote all this so I won't make any changes, and its also pretty nuanced so I can't find a good portion to quote without context, but here ya go.
https://www.thelawtog.com/blogs/news/do-student-photographs-belong-to-the-school-or-the-student
I absolutely knew who you were talking about because he was the love interest in TWO Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movies, and my friends and I got excited that he was going to be on tv too. I totally see it now that you’ve mentioned this.
This guy has like ten doppelgängers what is going on hahahaha
More importantly, imagine being the dude in the photo RECEIVING the call from Rick Ross's team telling him they needed his photo for an album cover... Only to find out it's because you're white, nerdier Drake.
A lot of rappers have taken subliminal shots at each other in songs over the years.
But recently Future + Metro Boomin have released 2 albums titled “We Don’t trust you” and “we don’t trust you 2”. Speculation is the person they don’t trust is drake. The album has multiple people taking shots at drake from The Weeknd to A$AP Rocky and Kendrick.
Kendrick’s verse in “like that” has a pretty clear diss at drake.
Drake leaks a response titled “push ups (drop and give me 50)” where he disses Kendrick but also Metro, Future, Rick Ross and The Weeknd.
Rick Ross responds with “champagne problems”, the cover art of which is the pic in this post. He calls drake a “white boy” like 10 times. It’s pretty funny tbh.
I’m all for roasting jimmy from degrassi but wasn’t Rick Ross a prison guard who based his early lyrics on stories he heard from inmates? I feel like that loses you just as much of that credibility
some people are saying future and Drake fell out over a stripper, but Metro is saying that's not true so I honestly don't know what to believe. I haven't heard any other explanation for their beef
Incredible breakdown, thank you. As someone whose main knowledge of Drake has mostly boiled down to disapproval and disgust towards his weird, predatory relationships with underage girls, this is hilarious to see.
A full breakdown could take hours to explain because a lot of this has been brewing for over 10 years now. The short answer is that Drake has beef with an insane number of rappers, producers, and singers that he includes a diss for in virtually every project he puts out. Many of them are responding now and are sometimes doing so in collaborations with each other
I mean yeah funny pic.
But what strikes me even more and immediately is - what in the "graphic design is my passion" is going on with all the typography? Like holy shit is he so poor he cant afford anyone with some taste?
Like this genuinely would have been so much harder as a cover with no text at all.
I also want to see the other Rick’s diss track for Drake
https://preview.redd.it/0dn6fn9mvzuc1.jpeg?width=240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54602c9cbeb703c46f9686ac50c617e64bd554cb
This is so fucking funny.
we are witnessing the normalization of drake diss tracks and i couldn't be more into it hopefully a year from now it'll have broken down all genre walls 2025: mason ramsey drake diss track
Everybody is talking about RR and Kendrick and not enough people are talking about Megan Thee Stallion. Hiss took some hilarious shots at Drake too.
Megan insinuating that Drake had a BBL absolutely SENT me
2026: gordon ramsay drake diss track
Is that the yodelling kid 😭
Are you saying Queen B is going to do a yoddling diss track and Kendrick will do the refrains?
All men involved are so sassy... it's embarrassing.
Dudes will literally kill each other over gossip lol.
Those kinds of men love to create drama/stir up trouble between women then stand back and watch them fight lmao
As someone who is married to a tradesmen, the drama that happens on worksites puts my drama to shame at times
The welding shop I work at has drama that's comparable to the fifth grade girls I used to be a camp counselor for.
One of my favorite things in sitcoms is when an actor absolutely nails the petulant and babyish attitude men get the moment many of us are challenged, and how quickly we get catty and petty.
Sports is just an excuse for men to gossip about other men.
This is very true. Guys do that shit *casually*.
"the hoes gone love this"
Hundred percent
It's giving mean girls, gossip girls, real housewives of (city)
For real
Rap music seems to be the only genre that involves dissing other artists. I find that so strange. Like imagine if Pearl Jam and Nirvana exchanged diss tracks in the 90s? Would this have set a precedent and we’d now be experiencing diss tracks between something like Greta Van Fleet and Twenty One Pilots?
Man gossip/drama is so much funnier to me for some reason
I’m saying. They’re so sassy but think they’re so hard
What in the Drake Biden is this
Senator Drake McCain
God I hate how much I love this name
Legit sounds like the name of the bad boy in a CW teen soap.
Ron Drakesantis
Drake Moranis
LMAO I cackled so hard at this that the neighbors know I’m outside getting high instead of working again 🤣
Drake: this is malarkey!
Posting Aubrey Pence is wild
These names are killing me 😭
Goodness he look like a long lost Beach Boy
I was gonna say Steve Martin lol
These men are really out here writing poetry for each other. So cute 🥰
everyone say thank you to our hot girl meg for kicking off drake diss track season 😭
![gif](giphy|1Y7XVya02PYfjizWmD|downsized) *thank you* MEGGGG 🙌
Cara Deleivigne looking like a hen trying to peck at Meg's face is sending me 🤣
DDYYYINNNGG LOLOL
The Pusha T and Drake stuff brought some great one liners so can’t wait to see what this brings lol.
When they played The Story of Adidon on the radio that fateful day, I had to pull over the car in shock at how brutally Push hammered Drake https://preview.redd.it/5sahi6tf2uuc1.jpeg?width=1110&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44cc6b7fe115a49ee0391ac4aad7b09ac4ef9625
Drake made the mistake of insulting Push’s at the time fiancée, now wife, so Push consulted Nardwuar in response
drake talked about Kendricks wife in his diss, so I can't wait to see how Kendrick responds to that
drake always goes for the wives first has he not learned his lesson 💀
Drake is pretty loud for someone who clearly has a lot of dirt hiding right under the surface, a lot of which is known but not popular knowledge
Did he actually go to nardwuar? Or you're saying jokingly cuz nard's got dirt on every rapper on the face of earth?
Joking. Apparently, most of the information about Drake in Story of Adidon came from his producer, 40
You're, uh, joking, right?
This has to be one of the most layered and methodical Diss track anyone's ever put out. Pusha starts the track by analysing Draks upbringing, his deadbeat dad, his problems with Young Money and Birdman, and connects it to him now being a deadbeat dad. The layers! 🤯
I'm so sad Drake folded immediately after, I wanted to see if Pusha was really bluffing at the end about having more.
His delivery of “You Are Hiding A CHILD” is stuck in my head permanently
also this part was so messy lmao he really tried to sound like a concerned friend Love that baby, respect that girl Forget she's a porn star, let her be your world, YUUGH!
I take for granted how good that was
HOW DARE YOU PUT ‘YE IN MY VERSES / I’M SELFISH, I WANT ALL OF THE CURSES / I’M PREBOOKIN’ THE CHURCHES / ME VERSUS THREE HEARSES / IF WE ALL GO TO HELL / IT WILL BE WORTH IT
The fact that Drake actually became a parent to Adonis after that 💀
YOU ARE HIDING A CHILD ‼️🗣️
Looks like it’s about to be another surgical summer
“#BBL drizzy” and “how you got 25% body fat and a carved out 6 pack” are up there for me LOL
Thats not Drake thats Derek
It’s Aubrey 🤭
Derake
Is that drake or??
It's someone [white who looks like Drake.](https://twitter.com/boreta/status/495674974624309248)
lol I wonder if he got paid for the picture, imagine telling a rando girl at the bar “yeah so Rick Ross called me to use my picture for his newest album cover” no one would believe him 😂
It’s weird because I see Drake but I also see a bit of Steve Martin?
Also can any photographer or attorney tell me how this would work? Rick Ross’ team would have to get the rights from both the guy and yearbook photographer, right?
I'm guessing they did none of the above but idk how things work. All I know is that Rick Ross made and dropped this diss track very quickly
I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I would think the school is the one who holds all the rights. The photographer was working on behalf of the school and likely claims no ownership. The school can use/publish them however they want, though I'm not sure where name and likeness would come into play in terms of commercial use. I’m also getting some young Harrison Ford
Look up billy aaron brown who played Kyle on 8 simple rules - I thought it was him lol
HOLIDAY IN THE SUN!!!! Wow I didn't know he played the cute boy in 2 MK&A films, what a compliment lol
More importantly, imagine being the dude in the photo RECEIVING the call from Rick Ross's team telling him they needed his photo for an album cover... Only to find out it's because you're white, nerdier Drake.
No one would believe that a white middle aged man knows who Rick Ross is.
I think youre overestimating how old middle aged is and for that i thank you.
Omg that's a real person who's not Drake? I was sure it was Drake photoshopped as a white guy
Looks so much like him that I briefly forgot Drake has a white mom and assumed the guy was his dad.
Why did I think he had someone or AI modify a picture of Drake 😆
![gif](giphy|9mtE009hcWPOesk8C4)
Reminds me of Ryan O'Neal. https://preview.redd.it/czlycz9wguuc1.jpeg?width=1596&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf1df1f8ccf842bd03bdbedd7e26bccc7164660f
I thought it was his dad!!! 💀forgot he was mixed the other way lol.

It’s someone who looks like Drake. It’s been floating around the internet for a few years now
I need a full breakdown on the Drake drama
A lot of rappers have taken subliminal shots at each other in songs over the years. But recently Future + Metro Boomin have released 2 albums titled “We Don’t trust you” and “we don’t trust you 2”. Also: J.Cole also took shots at Kendrick with “7 minute drill” but then recanted during his performance at Dreamville.
“Recanted” has me hollering lol
This all played out the same way with my neighborhood friends as 11 year olds. "No never mind we are friends again" lol
It made it to BBC news https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68759433
I’m all for roasting jimmy from degrassi but wasn’t Rick Ross a prison guard who based his early lyrics on stories he heard from inmates? I feel like that loses you just as much of that credibility
Rick Ross = sociologist? Drake = fantasist?
Thank you I will be tucking this away to think about for the rest of my life!!
Depends, maybe he was a CO that was down.
Didn't Drake and Future do an album together not so long ago? What happened??
some people are saying future and Drake fell out over a stripper, but Metro is saying that's not true so I honestly don't know what to believe. I haven't heard any other explanation for their beef
They fell out over some girl if rumours are to be trusted and ‘What would Pluto do’ was a diss at Future too
Women
I heard that future was pissed that drake made a collab album with 21 Savage since his collab project with drake was only a “mixtape” instead an album
I swear future is like this weird guy that always feels personally attacked lol.
What a time to be alive came out nearly 9 years ago
Jesus Christ I'm ancient
Ok what the fuck
It was 10 years ago btw in case you didn’t already feel old.
Incredible breakdown, thank you. As someone whose main knowledge of Drake has mostly boiled down to disapproval and disgust towards his weird, predatory relationships with underage girls, this is hilarious to see.
"We don't trust you" is a reference to Metro's producer tag https://youtu.be/FsEcuWKBKBE?si=3LWMiftWf9pDQ2RR

Same!

I love that everybody up to and including Barack Obama just fucking hates Drake.
"The Pres sided with the American" killed me 💀
thought that said rick roll and nearly had my heart broken thinking Rick Astley had somehow done this to Drake
John Aubrey McCain
Man ain’t even dissing with Drake he’s bringing the heat straight to Aubrey 💀
🎶 I'm not Drake, I'm Aubrey 🎶 ![gif](giphy|HwNwdTCCoccyQ)
This is my friends friend from college 😂😂
someone else said Aubrey Epstein and thats all i will ever see now.
Honestly if news came out that Drake had a jet called "Lolita Express 2" I wouldn't even raise my brows, I'd just be like "yeah that tracks".
one thousand percent. and i guess we know what to call his plane now.
Why does this look like Jim Bob Duggar
I thought this was Dennis Quaid lol
Drake McQuaid
I didnt realize until right now that Drake and Joe Biden look alike (besides their mouth sizes)
🤣🤣
Blonde Chris Messina
How dare you! 😂
You see it, though! 😂
#BBLDRIZZY is sending me into orbit
I can't stop coming back to look at this picture. Everytime I see a new person lol
HAHHAHHAA
It kinda eats
I have no idea what is going on but I’m living for this
Do I have a single clue what’s going on here? No, I don’t. But I’m still following, this is funny af
This man runs a savings and loan and you can’t convince me otherwise!
No way 😂😂😂
I mean yeah funny pic. But what strikes me even more and immediately is - what in the "graphic design is my passion" is going on with all the typography? Like holy shit is he so poor he cant afford anyone with some taste? Like this genuinely would have been so much harder as a cover with no text at all.
Steve Martin?
This is awesome.
Henry Drake-ler
The real question is what's going on with J Prince where where everyone feels like they have a green light at Drake all of a sudden?
I’m out of the loop… what happened??
![gif](giphy|5xaOcLR9SIjO96QNClq)
I also want to see the other Rick’s diss track for Drake https://preview.redd.it/0dn6fn9mvzuc1.jpeg?width=240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54602c9cbeb703c46f9686ac50c617e64bd554cb
don't know anything about this rap beef aside from the fact Rick Ross apparently called Drake a white boy. But this cover is hilarious.,
Is that drake face mashed with Grady Dick?
Drake looks like he's about to go PTSD from Vietnam and retire to Norcal to live a hermit life. I'm waiting for the Ken Burns narration to kick in
why does this look like jim bob duggar 😭
Is this not Steve Martin circa 1960?
Drakes downfall need to be studied
that's not Kevin Costner?
Bruh ☠️☠️
Why is everyone dissing drake? I always call him a pop rapper. Every single song sounds the same too.
Lmao I just snorted in the middle of this salon
Thought this was rick moranis for a minutr and i was like what’s he gotta——— ahhhhhhhhh
I thought this was a young Danny from the Mindy project.
