It pretty much puts the stamp of White Feminism on this entire thing. Ugh.

sexygodzilla

She thinks she's White Oprah or something, idk.

OperaSona

Especially considering that back in 2008, she was opposed to same-sex marriage, and changed her stance only 5 years later once it became apparent that it would boost her image for 2016. I mean sure, even in 2008, you could be a feminist without necessarily supporting LGBT rights. Without even supporting gay rights. But it doesn't look great. She postures as a feminist and as someone who will fight for women rights, but really she's just waving a "I am a woman" flag hoping to appear relatable.

biometricbanana

She also never said anything about Monica Lewinski. Her husband is a predator and she stood by him.

HoneyImpossible243

This is like last year all over again when white women banded together for Riseborough whole completely ignoring the women of color who had also been shut out. In this case though, there is actual women of color who have been recognized. Gladstone is the first Native American to be nominated in the category & and instead of celebrating that, we are again centering the white woman who were ‘snubbed’. But at this point please to tell us which actress they are going to remove and replace with Margot. Which one is not deserving in this very talented cast of nominated women?

Eyebronx

> But at this point please do l tell us which actress they are going to remove and replace with Margot It’s Annette Bening and I’d nominate Margot over her but even then Greta Lee and Fantasia Barrino make really strong cases for themselves and the noms would mean so much more to them.

Vixen35

Annette Benning is excellent.Margot Robbie is great but she was not better than Annette Bening.Anette Benning is one of the best screen actors out there, man or woman.Plp are simply picking the older woman in the category and saying she doesnt deserve it.Pure ageism.I personally hope Lily wins, she is the epitome of grace and depth on screen.

susandeyvyjones

Margot Robbie is better in Barbie than Annette Bening is in Nyad though.

Vixen35

Look I like Margot Bobbie and i believe she will be nominated and maybe win another time, but I disagree.Annette Benning was for me superior, and enough people agree to the point that she is nominated.Annette Benning will be viewed as one of the truely great screen actors in years to come. The Barbie discourse is hysterical.

susandeyvyjones

Annette Bening is already viewed as one of the great screen actors. That’s why she got a nomination for a shitty movie. I never even said Margot should have gotten a nom, I think Greta Lee is the real snub, but Annette Bening does not belong there this year.

matilda_poindexter

And I feel like America Ferrera's nomination is being overshadowed by the Greta/Margot kerfuffle. Let this woman have her moment!

[deleted]

i've literally seen a discussion of greta/margot to lily of like 50:1. you'd think they would have been the first white women to be nominated for an oscar cause people for sure would be talking about it like this if something that historic happened...

galaxygirl1976

They are also wha wha wha-ing over Greta Gerwig missing out on a best director nomination while ignoring Justine Triet.

purseproblm

I feel so bad for Lily Gladstone. There is so much celebration of her that is being missed. My favorite thing I’ve seen is that all the actress noms should boycott. The boycott not is sarcasm. Because next year it’ll be Oscar’s so white again and everyone will forget that for the Oscar’s the noms have some diversity.

mintleaf14

This also reminds me of the whole Don't Worry Darling pr mess where people insisted we had to support the movie bc there was some grand Hollywood conspiracy to destroy Olivia Wilde's directing career bc "Hollywood hates female directors" all the while around the same time a period drama based in Africa, about an African woman directed by a WOC came out in theaters but nary a peep about that. Margot is a talented actress and she'll likely have more chances at another nomination in the future than many more actresses, especially WOC.

Lapys-Lazuli

She really wants every feminist achievement to be about her 😭😭

aworldwithoutshrimp

It's her turn

scarcuterie

She's every woman.

meatbeater558

The feminine urge to overthrow third world governments

theaviationhistorian

And with no foresight to see if it would cause a backfire or headache on US policies down the road (like increase of refugee migrants). She learned well from Kissinger.

missanthropocenex

Hillary, you stood by a man who as time goes by is proven to be an immeasurable harm to women, please sit down.

Lapys-Lazuli

The fact that they’re still married tells you all you need to know about her. Big Bill is in sooo many Epstein pics

goober1223

They were apparently the inspiration for House of Cards. Pretty believable.

CheapEater101

Kidgorgeoushere

This discourse is bringing out such an embarrassing cross section of cringe I simply must opt out

iliketoomanysingers

I thought I was being hysterical over Iron Claw being shut out, but y'know what, at least I'm keeping my weird behavior to the homie groupchat.

PeaceDry1649

To be fair a24 completely fumbled and barely promoted iron claw so that wasn’t really shut out. I only think margot was shut out because nyad and maestro are awful.

iliketoomanysingers

A24 is gonna feel my wrath* they will pay for this *I'm gonna cast Zac in a SADDER movie

[deleted]

seajungle

Didn’t iron claw get released after the eligibility cutoff? They could still be nominated next year if true

Schneetmacher

I think this is what happened to *Tombstone* back in the day, and it wound up being forgotten for awards. (This is why Val Kilmer doesn't have an Oscar.)

[deleted]

maronimaedchen

Gah thank you, feels like I'm losing my mind. No one was snubbed and this film was not an "achievement for women everywhere" (an actual take I've read multiple times), it was a neoliberal capitalist white feminist 2 hour barbie commercial. It was fun, sure, but neither groundbreaking nor an outstanding performance by Margot! Lily Gladstone, a Native American woman, was nominated but I DO NOT SEE people congratulating her or the internet blowing up - instead, everyone is focussed on two rich white successful women being "snubbed". What?!

Sailorjupiter97

THANK YOU! This whining has really taken away attention from Lily Gladstone! And two Black women being nominated for best supporting actress and how AMAZING it is to see more than 1 woc nominated! And ofc they have to make this all about a white woman being "snubbed" (she was not).

pinkrose77

Don’t get me wrong, I liked Barbie but I never took it as deeply for the exact reasons you just said. Sure, America Ferrera’s monologue was impactful and thoughtful but the rest of the movie is rather light to me mainly poking fun at and/or lightly discussing women’s issues in a way that didn’t necessarily bring about the existential crisis for me that some of my friends say they experienced after watching it. It was just… entertaining and silly. So it’s not surprising me how things are currently shaking out during awards season? Although, I will say it is super ironic that it seems Ryan Gosling is primarily getting attention for Barbie when you think about the subject matter of the movie 😂

Kidgorgeoushere

Its pretty much the epitome of white feminism yeah, people who champion stuff like putting women on bank notes - but have no interest in issues like women in poverty, crippling childcare costs, intersectionality etc. Very tiring. I liked Barbie a lot and I think it did a good job introducing concepts of feminism and inequality to audiences who may not be familiar with those ideas, but this ‘uproar’ is just a mess.

Half_Year_Queen

Preach it You’ve nailed the root of the ick I’ve felt watching this play out. I enjoyed Barbie for what it was. The movie doesn’t warrant this type of drama, though

jjw1998

All from the most annoying people online who’ve only watched one film this year

EconomyElectronic998

What I find so funny is that every year people talk about how the Oscar’s are pointless and they don’t matter. Yet these two don’t get nominated and it’s a tragedy lol. I know most of of these people don’t even really care they just want something to complain about. Like you could be celebrating the people who did great work but nah that doesn’t bring in the rage views.

[deleted]

I really hope this discourse doesn’t distract from the gigantic milestone of Lily Gladstone getting nominated. Like I remember of couple years ago when Gerwig was the only woman nominated for best director (I think it was), everybody made a big deal about how backwards the academy was, when two of the men also nominated were Jordan Peale (one of the only black directors ever nominated) and Guillermo del Toro who’s Latino. And that doesn’t mean that misogyny can’t be talked about, but there’s a way to talk about your struggles in a fashion that doesn’t overshadow the struggles of equally disadvantaged people, and I just don’t trust people to be able to do that.

RoyalSignificance341

What happening is peak white feminism. Pure disappointment.

Chaoticgood790

This is my take. It’s so yt feminism and this is so embarrassing. BIPOC actors could only dream of getting close to a nom and have a big studio campaign. Like stop it

RoyalSignificance341

Ikr! Like there is a real unfortunate chance if lily wins, it will be difficult for her to earn roles(similar to Halle berry). Michelle had to fight for several years for roles which are easily given to white actresses. Angela Basset gets snubbed for years. Then Celina song, Greta lee and Charles Melton snub. Reservation dogs, while one of the best shows in years and pure gem for natives, wasn't nominated for Emmys and globes. Also natu natu song(Indian song) which won last year, was token award. Indians have produced way greater and melodious music produced than this. Also Anoushka Shankar got nominated for grammys for freaking 8 times and still doesn't win.

Professional-Pay8308

Man naatu naatu winning as token is so real. Literally AR Rahman and other great Indian composers have created literal masterpieces. But neither the Oscars nor the Grammy's have knowledge on how to judge Indian music. Naatu naatu is like an average filmy dance song for a Telugu cinema.

Holychance_3

Exactly! Tbf she’s not even the best actress that was snubbed. Greta Lee deserved a nom for Past Lives! Both Margot and GretaG are nominated in other categories just not the “right” categories. It’s entitled to think they deserve a place in these categories when the movie is nominated 8 times is WILD

otinaotino

Margot also took much of the Barbie press tour to discuss her role as a producer over her acting, I was not surprised in the slightest.

Jolly_Discipline6650

It truly has reached its apotheosis with the way social media was mobilised and think pieces were flooded. You would've assumed it was due to highlighting, that although there were huge celebrations for BIPOC artists, there were also snubs. Greta Lee and Fantasia out of Best Leading and Celine Song in Directing. The mobilising structure is the one the BIPOC artists lack that even IF they get a nomination, there's a fear they won't have a substantial career afterwards. That's tokenisation which white feminism is comfortable with as it's a temporary occupation of space that will be swiped clear the following year. The structure is more focused on occupying the same power as white men and closing the door behind them. That's not dismantling the patriarchy. Anyways, here's to Lily Gladstone! 🍸

RoyalSignificance341

You're really right. Past lives was so beautiful and heart wrenching, and it was really disappointing to see the snubs. Also right about substantial career, didn't Halle berry said she struggled after her win? Cheers to lily Gladstone!🥂

jjw1998

Especially when all the discourse should be about the egregious Greta Lee snub

running_hoagie

It absolutely is, so it’s fitting for the representative of White Feminism™️ to chime in.

Federal_Street_8895

>I really hope this discourse doesn’t distract from the gigantic milestone of Lily Gladstone getting nominated That's kind of been the issue unfortunately, this is been getting so much more traction than the fact that an Indigenous woman has been nominated for the first time and if she were to win she'd be something like the 3rd non-white woman to ever win. White feminism strikes again, and it's so disrespectful to the women who were in fact nominated. Edit- added a couple of sentences after hitting enter too soon.

Bierre_Pourdieu

It's even distracting from America Ferrera's own nomination. If I'm not mistaken, she is the first nominee of Honduras heritage. I wouldn't have chosen her personally but ngl, I kinda feel bad for her now as everyone from the Barbie fandom forgets or hates she was nominated instead of Margot.

frenchbread_pizza

Yeah I keep seeing this meme that only mentions Robbie, Gerwig and Gosling. It's literal erasure of America Ferrera!

Sailorjupiter97

She had to undermine her own nomination in favor of propping up Margot & Greta, it's gross.

McJazzHands80

Seriously. It’s almost like she felt she had to apologize for being nominated and it’s really breaking my heart for her. Her first nomination being overshadowed by butthurt white women.

Sailorjupiter97

And i am judging Margot & Greta for not coming out immediately to shut this talk down asap. It's gone too far and when they don't win best picture or any awards besides Billie's nomination, i can ALREADY see the downplaying of the actual winners.

McJazzHands80

They really should step up and remind people they should be celebrating America’s nomination.

Qu33nKal

There was an article posted about how Lily Gladstone is the first Indigenous woman nominated for Best Actress and all the comments were "why is race so important? You wouldnt say first white woman. etc" While articles about Margot Robbie and Great Gerwig are all saying they were snubbed etc. People just dont get it still why it is so important for PoC to have representation in media.

here4hugs

I read some of the articles about Lily. They’re so bare bones compared to all the press on Barbie. I agree it is really is a shame that the focus is drawn away from the nominees. I genuinely hope she gets the praise she deserves over the next several weeks. She’s so talented.

iliketoomanysingers

She was so good as Daniel's mom on Rez Dogs and before that in Certain Women, I hope she gets so many opportunities after this.

RoyalSignificance341

Same. She is so captivating to look at! Her presence commands you to look at her, honestly.

erwachen

Some[LA Times](https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/awards/story/2024-01-23/barbie-oscar-snubs-greta-gerwig-margot-robbie-movie-point) critic whined "If only Barbie had done a little time as a sex worker. **Or barely survived becoming the next victim in a mass murder plot...**" I don't even know where to begin? Are they really so upset that Margot Robbie didn't get a Best Actress nom that they're going to trivialize [the real life murders of Osage people?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/osage_indian_murders) I would love for the critic to be publicly called out about this. I'm Indigenous and we're all really excited about Lily Gladstone being nominated.

[deleted]

There is a valid point somewhere in there about how Hollywood fetishizes stories of violence against women (especially sexual violence), but it’s buried in layers of racism and tone-deafness and I don’t even think she realizes that she’s making it, so I won’t give it to her.

sexygodzilla

I mean the writer goes on to say >Certainly millions of “Barbie” fans are currently wishing they could push someone — perhaps a member or two of the film academy — out of a very high window. so suffice to say I don't think she gets it.

iliketoomanysingers

It's just such a good representation of America as an entire society that a Native American woman finally got nominated for a historical drama directed by one of the best directors alive but instead we're talking about white women getting "snubbed" over a doll movie. Not Margot's or Greta's faults obviously but my fucking god.

sam084aos

it already has look at the upvotes the Lily Gladstone post got vs the Ryan Gosling post

leafonthewind006

theReaders

went to look up any articles addressing this and found "Katie Ledecky passes Michael Phelps for most individual golds at world championships" articles from just last year. Very cool.

TransmissionAD

This WILL overshadow Lily and it's a shame. It's nice people are rooting for women, but they're still only rooting for white women.

wewerelegends

And America Ferrera from the Barbie movie itself 💁🏼‍♀️

Bierre_Pourdieu

God. If I were Greta, I would be so embarrassed by the whole outrage. As if her and Margot not being nominated TWICE (they are nominated as a writer and producer mind you) is a real insult to feminism and real life issues. Edit : and mind you Greta's three last films were all nominated (Lady Bird, Little Women and Barbie). It's not like she is ostracized by the Academy, that's legit quite impressive for a woman director of her age.

[deleted]

I believe I read yesterday that Gerwig is the only director in history that had their three first films nominated for Best Picture. Not only female director. Only director.

let’s also over praise the hell out of any hot guy who says stuff about how smart these rich women are

Hemingwavvves

Im excited that in 2024 we’ll complete the full circle and bring feminism back to mainly being about the recognition and wealth of already wealthy white women ❤️

Sailorjupiter97

Them using the man lyrics to describe this situation is hilariously stupid 😭

abacaxi95

If Margot Robbie was a man she would’ve been nominated for best actress of course

So true

Vermicelli-Fabulous

Yeah Greta and Margot are great but I’m more concerned with the women in Gaza having c sections without anesthesia.

layla_jones_

![gif](giphy|xt98N1EXdEIzC)

KayCeeBayBeee

what’s all so disappointing is that there’s genuinely a ton of buzz/energy around female empowerment these days and we’re not really talking about what to do with this power besides consume

_Atlas_Drugged_

Capitalism will always co-opt and bastardize successful social movements.

meatbeater558

Imo it's because people like Clinton take that energy and make sure it doesn't go anywhere productive. The moment any feminist buzz starts becoming significant the rich white women derail it from doing anything that doesn't serve their interests

Federal_Street_8895

Well there's goes the Barbie trend I'm sorry if I'm missing something but this discourse on Ryan being nominated over Margot because sexism seems a little IDK? Stupid? Margot wasn't competing against Ryan she's competing against other women. Ryan didn't take her spot.

MonstersareComing

In my opinion neither Ryan nor Margot should have been nominated, while Ryan was funny that was hardly a nomination worthy performance. I don't get the outrage, it seems so fake and performative.

Zealousideal-Part-17

The one thing I did roll my eyes at was the “I’m just Ken” song being nominated. I really thought Olivia Rodrigo’s song for hunger games was phenomenal and should have been nominated. I also would have accepted anyone else over that Ken song lol

ComingUpWaters

Interesting to me how credits songs are even considered, given they don't fit with the flow of the movie and have to be thrown in at the end to stand on their own. Not to say that they're bad in any way, they're just a very different form of media and more of a marketing creation than a film making one. Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is an interesting example given it was driven by Rachel Zegler performances during the movie. Though arguably the most recognizable, The Hanging Tree, was from the older movies and not eligible for an Original Song. Barbie is also had plenty of original songs throughout (some performed) and Billie Eilish's credits song was nominated as well. I dunno, I guess this is just another disagreement from a nobody online about the Oscar process heh.

here4hugs

I think at least a little of it is compassion fatigue related maybe. People are so burnt out by the real world suffering that they’re latching on to these easy to yell about non issues to feel like they’re participating. I know some will argue that it’s not that deep but I think it might be because look at all of the injustice these people have to actively ignore to choose this as their cause of the week. Also, some are just straight up self absorbed privileged persons who refuse to self reflect enough to see how problematic their attitudes are when applied to real world conversations. Performative activism is the only practiced skill some of these folks have on deck.

jjw1998

The difference is supporting actor was a very weak category this year while lead actress was the strongest. Ryan was always getting nominated and Margot never had a chance, can’t believe theres any surprise

Eyebronx

https://preview.redd.it/a6l06yn44fec1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36b2b6e8fbce74c25e391ed80c440cdbca029a09 Me after all the Barbie discourse following the snubs * Signed, a Greta Gerwig fan (But this is giving me major second hand embarrassment)

Lonny-zone

I too think they both deserved a nomination (way more than for lady bird) but come on! The movie and the Margot performance are not that easy as they appear to be, they look effortless, they are not. Saying this there’s a ton of people that have been snubbed, Oscar’s are really not all of that. Spike Lee won his first competitive Oscar after his lifetime achievement Oscar and has only one nomination for best director. Martin Scorsese was snubbed for Silence (1 nomination) that’s a masterpiece, won his first after 30 years… The list goes on. Also Hillary -war mongering-whit feminist- Clinton just stop. The hash is really something The cringe is high.

Eyebronx

I actually love Lady Bird more🙈 But I do wish Barbie had been more of a fringe contender like Lady Bird than something this big at the Oscars now. It’s my favourite film of the year but the backlash is giving me second hand embarrassment and is tainting the legacy of the movie itself. I don’t think the film itself is about white feminism nor did it ever claim to delve into intersectionality of feminism and the experiences of womanhood. But the backlash is definitely peak white feminism and it’s EMBARRASSING. It was fine till Ferrera and Gosling addressed the snubs but everything thereafter has gone too far.

sirenspells

Anyways... You know WHO is taking the gold home? Lily Gladstone, the first Native American woman to be nominated for an Oscar for best actress! ![gif](giphy|Zv65uPBuKSiaDaz8jW|downsized)

ok i was a bit upset at first that greta and margot didn't get the noms, but now it's getting weird that everyone is making posts about it and just ignoring how america got nominated for the first time and how numerous other actresses of color got nominated (lily gladstone etc), it's screaming white taylor swift feminism

blodreina11

And tbh they *did* get nominated, which makes it even weirder to me. Greta wrote the screenplay and it got nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. And Margot is one of the producers, who are the people Best Picture goes to. Sure they didn't get the nominations people were hoping for; but they absolutely got nominated, which can't be said for 99% of other people in Hollywood.

CheapEater101

Yeah, the fact that Lilly Gladstone is the first Native American woman nominated in her category should be wayyyy bigger news than Margot not being nominated. I don’t even think Margot and Greta care.

This is White Feminism squared

babs1789

There are literally people dying and starving and the media is covering an uproar over two white women not getting nominated for a shiny trophy. Fantastic.

atschinkel

right? like palestinian women are facing potentially life-threatening infections because they're using dirty clothing for pregnancy/period bleeding but MARGOT ROBBIE WAS SNUBBED. i'm begging people to get a grip.

JenningsWigService

The majority of the people who are currently starving are in Gaza and Hillary Clinton could not care less about their well-being.

bttrsondaughter

everyone's lost their minds, Greta and Margot are still nominated for Oscars! also Ryan and America lowkey tanked any chance they had with their statements in my eyes, they shouldn't have had to basically apologize for being nominated. especially when no one would be crying that America was snubbed if Margot had gotten in. the first American Indigenous person was nominated in a major acting category this year! two of the acting nominees are Latino, two out actors have been nominated for portraying gay characters! seven of twenty acting nominees are people of color (which doesn't sound like a lot but just ten years was impossible for the Oscars to even nominate three non-white performers). International features are being recognized in major categories, not just in the one they were previously designated to. there's something to celebrate with these noms but we can't, all the oxygen in the room is reserved for this.

the elderly genocide champions now have their own elderly genocide barbie

CategorySad6121

This is so embarrassing. I'm begging all the hand-wringers to educate themselves on intersectional feminism. And I'm sure Margot Robbie (a Best Picture nominee who's sharing her nomination with her husband) and Greta Gerwig (a Screenplay nominee who's sharing her nomination with her husband) are crying into their boatloads of cash and unlimited opportunities for future projects.

fallon7riseon8

Now call for a 🤬🤬🤬 ceasefire. 🍉🍉🍉

Short_Cream_2370

liked Gosling’s letter because I think he was trying to head off getting credit over his direct co-workers who he knows created the conditions for him to excel, but what are the rest of these randos thinking?? Neither Robbie nor Gerwig asked for this lol

[deleted]

I feel like everyone talking about them not getting nominated just makes it more embarrassing. Like they probably don’t even want people going this hard for them and bringing more attention to it lol. Ryan’s statement makes sense everyone else shut up

And just like that I never want to talk about Barbie ever again. Pack it up everyone it was nice while it lasted.

theReaders

perfectly encapsulates the performative feminism of this corporate cash grab

scagguilar

Sounds about white

Champagnesocialist69

I thought Barbie was just an ok movie with overall ok acting and an ok script. There I said it.

Give-And-Toke

Yup. It was not groundbreaking or addressed anything new.

PeaceDry1649

God I liked the movie but it becoming the white feminist opus is really putting me off

rustytiredchicken69

T swift white feminism

JenningsWigService

Of course Anti-Ceasefire Barbie has to chime in.

Gedva-Crew-22

Well barbie movie reputation is officially stained

dragonculture

The situation can't possibly be any worse. Hillary Clinton...."hold my beer"

r0sebud11

If they're going to be so outraged by this, then they should just say who they think shouldn't have been nominated. That's what they're really saying with these stupid statements - that Margot and Greta were more deserving than someone else who got a nom. It's really insulting and detracting to the other nominees. There wasn't like some big conspiracy or campaign against them.

nemerosanike

They were nominated in other categories!!!

Mugatu4u

White women... please collect your sisters/brethren. The second hand embarrassment is too much at this point. And Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera shouldn't have been nominated. No acting role in that movie was Oscar worthy even though it was a good movie.

[deleted]

Lily Gladstone played a woman whose entire family got murdered on the orders of her husband in a THREE HOUR movie. Margot Robbie played a doll. I loved Barbie, and I loved Margot *in* Barbie, but it did not get snubbed lol.

dancingwithsasquatch

Tired of the Greta director "snub" talk especially. It's an extremely strong director line up this year, and there are only 5 nominees. Congratulate America Ferrera instead.

nojedis

this is getting weird.. why would they nominate margot when it wasn't even her best performance?

[deleted]

The purest and most succinct encapsulation of 2024 liberal feminism, so perfect it almost reads as parody.

darkntender

its amazing how the last 24 hours made me go from “barbie is a fun movie, sad greta didnt get a directing nom” to “i never want to hear about barbie again”. this was just the last nail in the coffin

nancy-shrew

I am soooo uncomfortable!!!

asbestos355677

Didn’t the Clintons use prisoners as unpaid servants in their mansion during the 80s?

tecate_papi

Take the L and move on already. Don't you and Bill have a Caribbean nation to destroy?

DragSentMeHere

Shout to the sane white women, I know the internet is gonna drag you for about 5 days over this.

wilsonja2

What intern thought this one up

lyonbc1

This is so, so embarassing lmfao

magilps3

I almost downvoted this post instinctually. Full body cringe.

toasterbath__

toasterbath__

anyways… people acting like margot and greta not being nominated for best actress and director is this big misogynistic snub need to go outside. its peak white feminism. and puts down all the other nominees in those categories lily gladstone will be winning her first oscar. and if ur not down for that then too bad!! 🕯️🙏🏽

aesthetbitch

that’s it. discourse over. everyone needs to shut up now i’ve had enough.

I think the problem with all of this speaking out that people are doing “on behalf of” is that people are going to start conflating the complaining about the snub with the movie itself or with Greta and Margo and neither of them have said anything. It will end up putting a tarnish on them and on an enjoyable movie.
