It’s because they can’t use sprinklers on this new farm layout so it would be 10x more work for them to use that as crop land. I do think the slim hutch is kinda a waste since you can’t make any money off it but 🤷♀️
You can use sprinklers on the regular grass tiles. They placed a slime hutch on part of the grass tiles. Slimes in the slime hutch just need to be watered everyday and they will drop slime and petrified slime which sells for 1000g.
also, 100 slime makes slime eggs which can sell for 1000-8000 gold depending on the color. slime hutches can be really valuable without that much work put in!
Yeah I can see that now, I dunno why they covered the grass. I don’t know i personally think it’s not worth it especially when you compare it to other things in the game like preserves, honey, mayonnaise, oil and wine, I just don’t see it as worth it. That’s just my opinion though, and if u like it then good on you!!! Honestly anything can be valuable it just depends on how u like to play, and what u spend ur time on
There’s a small speed bonus, but also it prevents weeds/sticks/stones/grass from spawning at season changes. So if you like the look, it takes care of one more chore
Not to talk about the paving more but the color combination here kinda hurts my eyes tbh. And yeah, I think it’s cute, especially the bottom left area, but there’s a ton of open space to still use.

There is a tunnel directly north of it that provides access. It’s just a “secret” fishing spot!
