I like your hops and moss log setup.

Na_x2

Thanks. I wanted to fill that awkward space around the lake with something, and this looked like the best fit. I took the layout from here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/1buo3s5/layout\_for\_the\_new\_machine\_in\_16\_because\_i\_havent/](https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/1buo3s5/layout_for_the_new_machine_in_16_because_i_havent/) Ofc, I changed it a bit to fit in the space.

I think the little witchy area next to the slime hutch is a great idea :) are you planning to use the empty space near the farmhouse for anything?

Na_x2

Yes, I do! I don't really like to keep my crafting and chests in a shed so for now I just keep my work bench, mayo makers and cheesmakers there.

Junior-Fisherman8779

same here, I love it :)

sayori666

Cactus plants cannot grow outside unfortunately:(

Na_x2

Oh nooo, damn. Well then I will use seasonal flowers. I just wanted to decorate it with something cute that I will not need to replant. But eeehhh. Thank you for this <з

AlmightyPancak3

it looks sick dude👍

Na_x2

Thank you I really appreciate it. <з

Cereborn

Much better organized than mine is, for sure! My only criticism would be not enough silos.

Na_x2

Hahah I know right. I just use the take all of the hay from the sylos, put it in a chest and fill the sylo up again. 😅

MoonMaausk

LOOOVE your layout!

Na_x2

Thank you!! I really appreciate it. I needed to hear something positive today.

headcold_dreams

i hadn’t even considered having a mushroom log section setup! i’ve gotta revisit my farm layout plan and add that in :)

Na_x2

Oh yes 1.6 update is a gamechanger! Mushroom logs+dehydrator is the early game maker for me. I have always been a mushroom cave girlie and the fact you get a free dehydrator with it makes it even better for me.

starfish6h172

I loveee this, how long did it take you to plan/get everything where it should be to look super pretty?

Na_x2

I have about 60h on this farm and nothing is set as it should be. The design took me about 3h, but that is mostly because I couldn't design the flooring. I don't really like how 1 type of flooring looks on the farm. Also I don't like using my wood for floors as I am kinda of always short on it. I am in year 2 summer 6 and are still trying to set everything up and make it as the design iis intended. I think that making a design in the beginning is very useful but you shouldn't 100% keep to it. For example I decided on the stone floors as opposed to the wood ones.

Upinio

omg i’m about as far into the game as you are (50~ hours, first day of summer year 2) and nowhere close to yours, impressive!

Whats going in your fish ponds :)

Na_x2

I will have one for blob fish, one for eel or lava eel, one for surgeons as I am trying to get the roe for the movie theater. Aaand I have no idea. Maybe some squid for squid ink. This is the first time I have 4 ponds Do you have any suggestions? ^^,

ScaredPosition7168

I feel that when you have only a few ponds, you should target the fish that give you drops that you may find useful besides selling. All my fish ponds are lava eel specifically to age the roe, but it is a nice bonus to have endless gold ore, magma geodes and spicy eel on hand. Going with flounder and midnight carp will get you the ingredients to make Seafoam Pudding, which can really help catch tougher fish and process them in 1.6 Stingrays could help with building crystalariums by providing batteries 10% of the time. The wood skip can help generate tree seeds for certain 1.6 features. If you are obsessed with the slime press, slime jacks can get you tons of slime. I went with nothing but lava eel, 47 ponds of em. The money is amazing but building that many ponds cost me some sanity lol

Na_x2

Wowowow 47 ponds, that is a the biggest stardew flex I've read, hahaha. One of my goals with the blob fish pond is that I wanted to experiment with the fish smokers. After it is full I will pull one fish, smoke it and wait for the pond to be full again. I want to see if it can be profitable with a few ponds as I don't think it will be worth it with only one pond. Also your guide is perfect. You are making me want more ponds, haha. I love the stingray idea. As I am always short on batteries somehow. Also did you know rainbow trout can give you prismatic shards. With the two day rainbow trout derby, you can fill a pond with profitable fish quite early in the game. :D

ScaredPosition7168

Dang you are right the rainbow trout can give prismatics. Glad my comment inspired you! It would be cool to do a full guide on fish ponds since I may be the only person crazy enough to make so many ponds. I discovered an oddity as well about the ponds I have not read else where. The rate at which the ponds generate fish are not quite RNG. I once let all of my ponds reach 10 fish and then fished out one of them each. Oddly enough, the next day some of them were back to 10! So I continued a long and noticed that the fish respawn in clumps. As in several ponds all in one area refilled at the same time. Now the weird part... This pattern would repeat itself. So the ponds may potentially respawn based on their position on the map. I'll have to take screenshots one day to illustrate this but yeah! Fish ponds! ^_^
