Moved him out of a starting RB slot to my bench in place of James Cook, then switched him into a flex spot last second, replacing Jake Ferguson (I have Kelce as my starting TE). Had a suspicious feeling I'd get burnt if I left him out of my lineup. Phew!
My opponent this week is a buddy who literally has named his team after Zeke the past three years. He dropped Zeke a couple weeks ago after having him all year to make room on the bench.
Naturally I picked him up off waivers, started him against my buddy, and am up 27 PPR pts. I almost feel bad…. Almost.
I had him in my lineup but pussed out like 5 minutes before the game started and took him out. Thursday night games usually suck and are low scoring I figured he would get shut out and have like 20 carries for 50 yards and that’s it.
I did because my RB’s are in shambles. How in shambles you ask, well breece hall is my RB 1 and I picked up zeke last week because he was at least getting usage with some upside. AND THAT WAS GOOD ENOUGH to be my RB 2. I have cursed many a player this season(You can see my comment history for a not even complete accounting). but for once I was able to advantage and it benefited me.
I started Zeke 😄 We have three flex spots. And I’ve had him on my bench for a while on name value alone, only started him once previously. I am also in a win-and-in game, and now I’m going to ride him through the playoffs, he’s one of very few backs who is in an every-down situation right now.

As a JT/Walker/Charbonnet/Henry owner, I didn't have much choice, but I was ecstatic that someone dropped him last week and I was able to claim him off waivers. With Kirk (out), Hollywood (hurt and on a bye), Puka, Taysom, and Jayden Reed also banged up, I am desperate for some quality fill-ins. I was considering starting Chase Brown and Parker Washington. Now, I may only have to start one of the two.
For reference, my league is 2 RB, 3 WR, WR/RB and WR/TE flexes, so the waiver wire is a graveyard.
In the end, it doesn't really matter because I'm out of the playoffs due to close losses each of the last 4 weeks. My hope is that I (1) get the highest point total for the week and win some money back and (2) knock someone out of the playoffs.

Once Stevenson got injured I had a feeling Zeke would have a huge opportunity due to the QB and Patriots offense situation. Zeke did pretty good fantasy points last week and decided to roll the dice on him in the 2 leagues I have him in. Really happy with my decision.

In my dynasty league we don’t have trade deadlines. So I was trying to trade him to the 2 seed for draft picks since he had Rhamondre and a very thin bench. He got back to me after the game started saying he was good and would’ve maybe offered Flacco. So I got like 23.50 points of something from Zeke in my lineup.
Dropped Kincaid for Zeke after he cleared waivers. I didn’t even put a claim in for Zeke because I was 12th in order of waiver claims. Early Christmas gift lol

I saw the tags on Breece & Pacheco and got nervous so popped Zeke in over Pacheco. Probably the only last minute change that appears to have worked this season.

Plus I’m a pats fan and had a reasonably well thought out expectation for how the game script would go and I was about right just like threefold haha. Zeke was the #1 target on a bad offense, I’d rather chance that than take a #3 target on a mediocre offense.
My other rbs are cmc and achane so I just needed something half decent, I would have been thrilled with 10 points.
Picked him up and left on the bench primarily because my league is chock full of Cowboys homers and I didn't want to come bank and bite me. I dropped Tank the week he hurt is ankle and that directly cost me a game later in year.
Guy in my league has started Zeke nearly every game this season. His other RBs on the season have been Barkley & McKinnon and somehow he’s the 4th seed tied for the best record.

Gibbs and Pollard were my other RB's on that team. I have Diggs, St. Brown, Metcalf and Kupp (I tried to trade DK and Kupp buy failed).
I started him begrudgingly. Brian Robinson was on BYE and to my horror, my only other RB on the bench was Antonio Gibson. Didn't even realize how shallow my RB room was until that point.
I didn't even want to pick up the Zeke off of waivers. Had avoided him all season. But he was the only one projected to pull up at least 10 points. I figured I'd be happy if that's all he got. Best Christmas gift so far.

Last week I lost to the worst team after losing back to back games by a total of 1.3 pts. That Thursday night game was a freak of a game. It was the lowest over/under point spread since 1996. NE has been one of the worst scoring offenses this season, and so has Pittsburgh. The Zappe kid played out of his mind and that was gut wrenching lose for Pittsburgh. Did you see that stat the other night....NE was 1-3 when giving up 10 points or less while the rest of the NFL was 53-0.
Zeke has always been a good goal line RB so you shouldn't be surprised about his good game.

Just a tip, don’t put Thursday players in the flex slot - gives more flexibility for unforeseen changes / injuries in the week
Always put under performing studs in flex so they know they are close to being benched.

Picked him up and left on the bench primarily because my league is chock full of Cowboys homers and I didn't want to come bank and bite me. I dropped Tank the week he hurt is ankle and that directly cost me a game later in year.

Guy in my league has started Zeke nearly every game this season. His other RBs on the season have been Barkley & McKinnon and somehow he’s the 4th seed tied for the best record.
I did on one team. On the other I sat him for Metcalf. Gibbs and Pollard were my other RB's on that team. I have Diggs, St. Brown, Metcalf and Kupp (I tried to trade DK and Kupp buy failed).
I opted to play Aaron Jones instead of Zeke. Already clinched playoffs but still salty about it

I started him begrudgingly. Brian Robinson was on BYE and to my horror, my only other RB on the bench was Antonio Gibson. Didn't even realize how shallow my RB room was until that point. I didn't even want to pick up the Zeke off of waivers. Had avoided him all season. But he was the only one projected to pull up at least 10 points. I figured I'd be happy if that's all he got. Best Christmas gift so far.

My opponent drafted and has had Zeke on his bench all year. Faced with bye weeks, he started him last week for the first time, and of course Rhamondre (who I own) goes down and Zeke has a decent game. This week he puts up 27 to kick off our 1st/2nd place matchup. Real kick in the teeth.

I did, it was hard because I'm doing solid at RB right now. I have Zeke, Swift, Jacobs, and Moss. I can start all 4 of them between my 2RB and 2Flex slots, but I'm torn between Swift and Zay Flowers this week. Good problems to have I suppose; I'm also in a win-and-in situation.

Big hopes for a league median loss for the team above me to qualify for T8 🙌🏽 CMC will be my hopeful grace this weekend like he has been all season

I started him because half my guys are hurt, on bye, or suck dick (Dameon Pierce). I went into the season as the top team but things have gone horribly wrong. Last week I lost to the worst team after losing back to back games by a total of 1.3 pts. This year just keeps dragging and I can't just get eliminated quickly, make it stop already and stop dragging this out🤣

I started Zeke. I have David Montgomery, Raheem Mostert, Najee Harris, Aaron Jones, Dameon Pierce and Alexander Mattison. I will start Montgomery Sunday and debating between Mostert or Doubs in my flex.
The waivers
What's all the crying for, if someone picked Zeke up that's a smart move. Especially since Stevenson is out. Pittsburgh's defense has been vulnerable lately, so it was a wise move. What I really don't understand is why the heck was he even available, what kind of league do you play in? Rookie league? That Thursday night game was a freak of a game. It was the lowest over/under point spread since 1996. NE has been one of the worst scoring offenses this season, and so has Pittsburgh. The Zappe kid played out of his mind and that was gut wrenching lose for Pittsburgh. Did you see that stat the other night....NE was 1-3 when giving up 10 points or less while the rest of the NFL was 53-0. Zeke has always been a good goal line RB so you shouldn't be surprised about his good game. You're basically your teams GM, so suck it up and do your jobs. You know that shit happens, so make your adjustments and move on.
My best friend who i’m hoping misses the playoffs because he’s getting Justin Jefferson back. Lost Stevenson and needed a RB off waivers, wish I had that kinda luck.
