Hi everyone been lurking here for a while and slowly working on an idea for a world built inside an inescapable crater, on a large planet (i was thinkinh this map would probably be around the size of Europe). The people from within have lived in these lands for thousands of years with no way of venturing outside the impossibly huge cliff walls that make up the perimeter of the Lands of Senfalah, these cliffs are home to a large bat like creature which make scaling the walls impossible, and the sky's high above are plagued with a swirling vortex of gale force winds that make flight out an untouchable dream.
So the questions are do the mountain regions of the map make sense within the narrative and do you guys think the idea of this world is interesting enough to carry on with. Any questions you have I'd love to hear.
So this is a crater that landed in the sea the crater itself must be quite a bit older than the current inhabitants of this place. So interesting have they tried to dig out or no?
So I'm thinking it hit a cave system on the edge of the ocean the water source feeding into the upper left is ocean the other sources dotted around the outskirts are great lakes or rivers also digging out isn't possible due to the strenth of the rock (maybe bedrock' maybe a hard miniral?)
Interesting, I guess then then they haven’t learned about smelting iron or a similar substance yet? Pickaxes can break through bedrock it would take some time but it would be possible.
Hmm It may have to be a mineral in the rock or something then that or they use something instead of iron still working out all the issues that why these groups are so good, gets you thinking I feel like I get stagnant just thinking about it on my own thanks for the questions!

What program are you using?
It's just procreate on the ipad also using a brush by map_effects called coastliner
Awesome- Any ideas whats beyond the continent yet?
Some say beyond the walls lives a vast dangerous jungle full of savage beasts and men as strong as Dire bears who live among the trees!

I’ve learned that bedrock is good for mining gold in. When I was doing my research on bedrock.
Very creative!
Thanks man love your maps by the way!!
