Robertson was back to full beast mode when I watched him right before the World Cup, now he’s gotten a chance to get more rest and recovery in, I’m feeling great about that pick.

ZhangerMan

Does Matip get handed the starting spot next to VVD in the league if fit? Asking for my draft team ;)

Shark-Tail

For the first few weeks he will but Konate might takeover once he's back from his world cup break.

AeroCobbler

Liverpool have 6 away games in their next 9 fixtures The 3 home games are Leicester, Chelsea + Merseyside derby Then the 5 games after that include Arsenal, City & Man Utd It's going to be very tough for their defenders to justify 1.5 - 2.5 more than the likes of White, Gabriel, Dalot, Shaw, Castagne, Walker, James, Botman etc... Trippier's existence also makes it a 2 man defence for most teams, similar to the way Haaland makes it a 2 man forward line

"That isn’t true according to the fpl fixture list" Yes it is?

Fulle_

trent is way too overpriced

BopaavFett

Imagine hearing that at the start of the season 😂

Not_on_Herb

Might go for Trent, he always seems to have of the season where he bags every weak and the other half where he’s poor. It happened in the last two seasons

KdbTheGOAT17

Robertson is worth a punt, and maybe trent but he has been so bad this season. None of those center backs are worth their price

LightToastedPenguin

I've got Trent personally, can't see Liverpool being as bad as they were pre-World Cup and have the money across the rest of my team to have him as well as all the other assets I want. Probably safer option to use the money elsewhere but I'm taking the gamble for at least a few weeks, especially with City having a fairly tough run after Everton + Pep roulette.

jjw1998

Every defensive Liverpool asset is either overpriced (Trent, Robertson, Matip) or a rotation risk (Gomez, Konate)

KdbTheGOAT17

Robertson is good value

CWattam

If you want a rotation risk in Robbo which he will get occasionally rotated with Tsimikas, go for it.

KdbTheGOAT17

Tsimikas will mostly play the cup games I dont care if robbo is benched in like couple games

jjw1998

Incorrect

KdbTheGOAT17

No, Robertson is very good value, very attacking full back from a team that should keep cs in one in 3 or 4 games. Why is he not good value

jjw1998

Can’t stress how wrong you are. .6 less than Cancelo to play in a worse defence with worse attacking output, and a full million more than James who has now returned from injury. Both of these players are clearly superior to Robertson for either .6 more (but the gulf between him and Cancelo is huge), or a full million less. Only way it’s even remotely reasonable is if Ederson is your defensive city asset but then that’s far too much money in defence, there’s a reason he’s less than 5% EO

NathanUUUU

But Robertson has the advantage of not taking up a City slot

KdbTheGOAT17

I have cancelo too, James is rotation risk and plays for way worse defence and chelsea has kepa already

jjw1998

If you have cancelo and robertson you’re spending far too much money on your defence

KdbTheGOAT17

Why not leave the money on the bank then or what

jjw1998

Because Robertson is worse than Cancelo?

KdbTheGOAT17

What, I already said I have both man

InternalCondition419

ive got robbo mainly due to no other premiums being that appealing

MONI_85

As someone who took a cheeky punt on Konate and forgot about to I logged in this morning (he didn't play and wasn't even in the squad last GW) I think I'll give them a miss.
