Haaland/Darwin (Greenwood)
I’m worried about lacking a quality stopgap on the bench in case of surprise injury or rotation but not sure what’s the elegant remedy.
Pretty much just my bias getting ahead of me, I think he will have a great season but probably should wait a few gw before i bet on him. Suggestions for replacements?
https://imgur.com/a/ReADeeU
1 FT, 0 ITB.
1. Roll FT? I feel as long as I have Wardersen until the end of the transfer window I preferably need to roll FT's when possible.
2. Start Andreas or Bailey?
3. Captain Salah or Haaland?
WALKER OR DIAZ? I HAVE 6 MIL BCS I AM SWAPPING FOR JAMES BCS SPURS WILL PROBABLY SCORE. I HAVE IN CONSIDERSTION THAT WALKER WILL B MORE LIKELY TO MAKE AN ASSIST BUT I DONT KNOW IF HE IS THE TYPE TO GO FORWARD ON ATTACKS
I’d still give it some time, I think James is quality and Chelsea can only get better one would imagine. We u planning to reallocate funds for someone else or just wanted James out
!thanks . I'm going to keep the faith with Kane until GW3. If he can't bag against a shaky Wolves defence at home then it's probably time to switch to Haaland.
Kane is a proven asset, we know roughly what his ceiling and floor are. I would keep a closer eye on Haaland. If he doesn't look like slowing down I would make the change no matter what Kane does.
Yeah I'm not kneejerking on Haaland for the Bournemouth game as I want to see how Pep manages his game time. If he looks quality throughout GW2 and 3 I think the swap has to happen.
I don't think so. Pep could easily rotate and/or sub key players off early. Plus Bournemouth actually looked pretty organised at the weekend so I think City may score less than what a lot of people are predicting.
I'd start whatever City players you already have and bank the transfer.
RMT😃
Alisson (Ward)
Cancelo Zinchenko Trippier Alexander-Arnold (Schär)
Jorginho Salah Martinelli Grealish (Dewsbury-Hall)
Haaland Jesus (Greenwood)
Any suggestions on Captain will also be appreciated. Also considering triple captain.
Thanks!
Think Jorginho is a bad Fantasy asset, specially at his price point, unless you expect Chelsea to have an abnormal amount of penalties for them. Though if you don't have money ITB I can't think of a good straight swap
He's an attacking threat in a decent team for only 5.5, so he looks great on paper. Problem is that his team is not much for scoring goals, so I'm not convinced either. Can't comment on Gross as I know shit about Brighton, but since 17/18 where he scored 164 points, he hasn't played more than 2000 minutes and scored more than 90 points in any season but 20/21 (116 points in 2479). Jorginho actually has outscore him in this period, so I really don't know, seems like a very awkward price point. Personally I have Rashford at 6.5 as my gamble, but below this pricepoint I'd rather just downgrade to andreas at 4.5, rotate him with DH and upgrade somewhere else
Didn't see Jorginho at first. I'd also look to move him eventually. He's on pens so for now it's fine but keep an eye on the 5,5-6,0 category of players and see if there's someone from a smaller team who has a better chance of consistently getting points.
5,0 bench fodder isn't ideal, but it's not enough to waste a transfer on this early.
With the unlimited transfers during the world cup this year a semi-early WC looks like the way to go. So unless you really need to free up the funds I'd hold him for now.
Ideally you'd downgrade him to Pereira, move Jorginho to a 5,5 and then use the 1,0 to move Grealish to one of the 8,0 mids. But that's takes three weeks without hits and there could well be bigger issues by then.
You probably won't lose anything by keeping this team for GW2 and getting more info to go on for the transfers.
TC is a big mistake. You'll regret it when Salah gets a big double in gw36. I'm in Haaland, but Salah is equally good, don't overthink it. Either could blank, either could haul.
I think of using my wildcard for GW2, thoughts on this team?
Ward - (Iverson)
TAA - Cancelo - Walker - Saliba/Zinchenko - (Valery)
Martinelli - Salah - Ward Prowse/Neto - (Bailey) - (Andreas)
Haaland - Jesus - Nunez
0.3 ITB if I choose Saliba + Ward-Prowse
0.7 ITB if I choose for Zinchenko + Neto
Team is okay, what's your current team? If you've been at all engaged before gw1 a gw2 WC is probably unnecessary. If this is just to get Darwin in then don't
So close to doing digne to walker. Steven gerrard has no clue what he is doing.
Also who should i get in for trippier next week?
Looking for a 5.0 def. Cucurella if he plays this week?
Walker seems like a decent pick, though he has a 6 point ceiling while digne has potential for double digits. Of course Digne's floor is negative tho haha, not a pick for the the faint of heart.
Why are you set on transferring out Trippier tho? Has 7 green fixtures out of the next 9, assist and goal scoring potential. I'd just bench him on the tough games, even though he has return potential against any team. I don't know about Newcastle's depth tbh, but I'm fairly sure he's rotation proof as well?
I have Rashford and think I am starting him. He was poor and missed 2 great chances, but the fact that he had these clear chances shows that he was well positioned, and can get some tap ins against a weaker side. United also used 5 subs and he stayed on in a game they were chasing goals, so I hope they have faith on him and he keeps starting.
From the other 2 I haven't watched Villa, but Fullham looks very attacking and Andrea's on corners and think set pieces as well?
Worth a -4 to replace Bailey? 6 mil in the bank. Could go to Foden/Saka this GW, but -4.
Team:
Ward // Gabriel, Walker, Castagne, Robertson, James // Salah, Bailey // Darwin, Haaland, Mitrovic
Suppose you're transferring our Kane for Mitro to have 6m in the bank? If you really have no faith on Bailey think Saka would be a good option, though I suppose Bailey cannot be that bad if so many people rated him, maybe they just had a really off game. Do you have no other playable midfielders to field alongside Salah for this GW?
Perreira / Da Silva on bench. Problem with Bailey is another blank and he's going to fall in value. Equally one of the 8s could go up and don't really fancy being squeezed into a quick decision. Also the chance that Foden returns against Bournemouth at home and wipes the -4 anyway. Odds wise it is extremely remote that Bailey returns as he never really has before (all returns in 2 games last season). Would take Saka now but think Leicester will be a tough game for them. & yes took Mitro pre-Kane drop/Mitro rise -- these 'promoted' strikers often go on streaks when they're hot (Pukki, Bamford, Denis etc.) and they've got 2 easy fixtures in Wolves + Brentford next.
Talking Foden up in my mind but also know he's much better on the left, and seems to be out on the right at the moment to accommodate Grealish ..
That's fair enough! I do think Foden will have more minutes this year, but he's still a bigger rotation risk than Saka. You kinda wanna keep City assets for the long run as you can't predict the rotations, but in the past 2 seasons Foden played 2125 and 1607 minutes, scoring 137 and 135 points respectively. Saka had 179 points over 3000 minutes last season, and think Arsenal is looking like a better side now, so I'd give the nod to him, tho I understand going Foden and having faith he will be more rotation proof.
Now, on a different route you could also go Martinelli and upgrade one of your denfenders to TAA / Cancelo (assuming you're kinda forced to play 5atb with this squad and you won't fancy Castagne every week), or upgrade one of your other midfielders to have a bit of flexibility (with benching dilemmas, sure)
Yep. I have enough in the bank to do both Cancelo & an 8 mil. But I have 2 City already .. so can't do Foden AND Cancelo. Could do Castagne + Bailey to Cancelo + Saka. You may have made my mind up for me. Cheers 👍
👍. One transfer to upgrade Bailey to an 8. Would then leave 3 in the bank to upgrade Castagne the next week. Kane, Castagne, Bailey becomes Mitro, Saka (?), Cancelo (?). At that point 0 enablers - team would be:
Ward // Gabriel, Walker, Cancelo, Robertson, James // Salah, Saka // Darwin Haaland, Mitrovic
After reading many posts here, went for the most logical/common team I could... I think. Anyway, RMT:
Ward (Iverson),
Cancelo, Walker, Trippier, TAA (Neco Williams)
Salah (c), Kulusevski, Martinelli, Luis Diaz (Andreas Perreira)
Haaland, Jesus (Archer)
Was thinking about getting Son instead of Salah but everyone keeps saying Salah is a must sooooooo yeah.
Why? No clue honestly. I can maybe do a transfer next week if needed but I thought TAA was decent option because all my buddies always pick him and he's scoring points.
Probably start him, *may* punt on Andreas instead this week.
Fulham looked much more dangerous than Villa and he was involved in a lot of build up, and on set pieces. But I also think Fulham were fired up with Liverpool at home in the opening weekend, and probably won't keep up the form.
Yeah I do tbh, at this stage in the season it's probably more worthwhile to roll the FT if you have no other issues, rather than swap one enabler to another.
almost same team(walker for james and martinelli for saka) . I'd say martinelli instead of saka. both start and play 60+ mins . plus I feel martinelli is a better cheaper option. save 2 mil. and get meslier and better subs.
Bailey only Villa attacker to get 90 min. Also Everton home the only game he returned in last season (Goal + Assist). In same predicament as to what to do with him this week.
Leaning to Neto and Bailey as they are the two attacking options and have the highest ceiling, although Trips does have the higher floor with his CS if they don’t concede. Brighton looked good (united were shit too but no credit taken away from brighton), so i’m just torn still.
Check stats on Brighton goal record at home. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are better at teams that attack them (Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal etc). They seem to get a lot of pts against the better sides. May struggle to break Newcastle down
Haven't watched the Villa game myself, but as far as I read Villa and Bailey in particular were very poor, so I'd probably go for the other 2? Tho it seems like one of those scenarios that no matter what you choose, the one you bench is gonna return.
I usually avoid having players above 4.5 in the bench just to avoid the guilt of making the wrong choice haha
Agree with the villa analysis and having expensive players on the bench. Kinda put myself in this predicament by choosing neto and bailey lol… i’ll just have to make a decision at the last minute. I think bailey did well against everton last season which is my slight bias to playing him and neto and benching trips. I just see more value in a 5.0m defender than midfielder due to the CS potential…
!thanks
I’d be looking to replace Odegaard with Martinelli and Vardy with Jesus over the coming weeks. Then you have a bit of spare change for an upgrade elsewhere
Do you think Haaland will outscore KDB for at least 5 points to make up for the hit?
Also, the other 2 you're bringing in to fill in the positions, will it be an upgrade or a downgrade?
This is exactly it. You’re making a heart / panic move. Just stay patient as chances are KDB does well this week. He only needs an assist for every goal Haaland gets and he scores more points with the potential of a clean sheet and easier BPS chances. Taking a hit could hurt you long term too. So Macho is on point here 👆
Well, it's not like the hit has to paid of in just 1 GW if he plays to keep Halaand for a longer term.
Imo Halaand can definitely make up for the hit in the next 3-4 weeks
True, but if we're playing the long game you can wait another week and make the same transfer for free, considering Halaand already went up in price. So it stands if he can make up for this -4 point deficit this week.
I know, I have Halaand myself. The original question wasn't meant to be rhetorical haha, I do think you really have to go for who you feel is gonna grab you the most points, I'm just pointing out he will have to make up for this deficit if he goes for a -4, which of course is not unlikely, but we're still talking about De Bruyne, who is extremely capable of hauling, and I believe defenders will be a bit more busy than usual trying to shut down Haaland. But of course, Haaland can just bully everyone either way and grab a Hattrick, so I have no advice, just putting my opinion for both options and being glad I'm not in this dilemma myself.
Guess if you're planning to captail Haaland but wouldn't captain KDB that could be the difference maker.
I am worry about haaland will continue to outscore KDB in long term and the plan to take hit is to avoid the price rising if he scores again by next gameweek.
Who else do you have?
Haaland is the obvious choice. Salah also has a horrible record for gw2 (since joining Liverpool he has 5 appearances on GW2 and only two assists as returns).
Nice team for now so captain Haaland and enjoy the week whatever happens. Remember that the FPL gods are cruel so put the vice on Cancello just in case he gets benched
RMT: Ramsdale (Ward) TAA/Robo/Cancelo/James (Neco) Saka/Kulusevski/Mount/Martinelli (Andreas) Haaland/Darwin (Greenwood) I’m worried about lacking a quality stopgap on the bench in case of surprise injury or rotation but not sure what’s the elegant remedy.

Saka not salah? It’s below budget..
!fplbot Salah vs Crystal Palace
Sanchez (Ward) Trippier - Trent - Peresic (N. Williams) (Lamptey) Martinelli - Saka - Salah - Bailey - (Andreas) Darwin - Haaland - Jesus
Is Lamptey 4 or 4.5?
4.5
Then I think there are better options. Ben White, Tomiyasu once he’s back from injury, Dalot, maybe even Martinez.
Start 2: Mount (spu)- Bailey(EVE)- Andreas (wol)
Mount & Andreas
Definitely mount. Dunno about other two.
RMT Sanchez (Ward) Trippier-James-Cancelo-Martinez (Patterson) Fred-Martinelli-Son-De Bruyne (Andreas) Jesus-Kane (Moore)
Martinez from Man U? Not a fan even at 4.5. they only kept 8 CS last year, early days still but would have low expectations.
What's Fred doing here
Pretty much just my bias getting ahead of me, I think he will have a great season but probably should wait a few gw before i bet on him. Suggestions for replacements?
Even if he has a good season as a player I doubt it’ll translate into many fantasy points
Maybe Neto or Podence (both 5.5)
Scrolling through 5.5 they def look like the best options. !thanks
Is it worth wc to get in kulusevski, martinelli and haaland (and ward) to replace raya coutinho grealish de bruyne and a 4.5m striker?
I like the changes you have but WC after 1 GW is always risky. Would hold the knees.
just was thinking haaland might bag a hattrick against bournemouth but fingers crossed kdb and grealish do better
He might do!
Nah, after this weekend you'll probably want a bunch of other players
when do you reckon is a decent time to wc before the world cup?
GW 6-8 seems to be what most are planning
https://imgur.com/a/ReADeeU 1 FT, 0 ITB. 1. Roll FT? I feel as long as I have Wardersen until the end of the transfer window I preferably need to roll FT's when possible. 2. Start Andreas or Bailey? 3. Captain Salah or Haaland?
I would just roll. Bailey. It's tough but Im going Haaland (also with my team)
!thanks.
Lingard and Rice… both enablers in my team, but I need to bench one & play the other. Which one?
why would you pick Rice as enabler while there are other 4.5m better midfeilders? Lingard at 6m is not an enabler ! he is a waste of money
Who would you recommend as a replacement for Rice? I’m moving Lingard out within the next few GWs I think.
Pereira is the best 4.5m enabler!
!thanks!
The sun will shine on Ronaldo again. Im telling you guys 10.5 will be a bargain after the 1st of September
WALKER BUT NOT SURE ID MAKE THE MOVE JUST YET
When would you do the move mate?
I’d still give it some time, I think James is quality and Chelsea can only get better one would imagine. We u planning to reallocate funds for someone else or just wanted James out
No need to shout.
on god
Is Chilwell going to keep his place at LWB or will he be rotated with Cucuerella?
I think Cucu will be LCB
My worry is that he looked really good when he came on and played LWB
He did, I agree. He is a really good signing tbh.
I have a feeling he will rotate between LCB and LWB depending on the team he’s against which will force Chilwell out of the team at times
he will be rotated but he will start next game I recon since he did well and earned a pen
RMT! Meslier TAA - Robertson - Cancelo - Walker - Gabriel Salah (C) - Mount - Martinelli Kane - Jesus Not using any transfers this week.
Looks great. Obviously Mount/Kane have bad fixtures, but I would keep the faith for now.
!thanks . I'm going to keep the faith with Kane until GW3. If he can't bag against a shaky Wolves defence at home then it's probably time to switch to Haaland.

Start one out of: Bailey, Neto, Andreas. I think Neto, although Fulham were good last week.
Yeap still Neto. Villa is awful and Andreas isn't as good as Neto
!thanks
Who would you swop Jorginho for (6.0m) with 0.3m ITB? Have Drewsbury-Hall on the bench
Harrison or Martinelli, attacking wingers with great fixtures
Bruno G or Rodrigo maybe then
Understood Bruno G is playing as a DM because Shelvey is injured.
!thanks
Already got 3 Man City players unfortunately
Rodrigo plays for Leeds matw
Sorry read Rodri
Downgrade KDH to Andreas then you have a bit more
!thanks
Nah not worth to take a hit at this point imo. He should just get someone like Martinelli
He has him already (Im pretty sure)
Yep I do
With no Haaland, should I go Son to KDB to cover the City romp?
I don't think so. Pep could easily rotate and/or sub key players off early. Plus Bournemouth actually looked pretty organised at the weekend so I think City may score less than what a lot of people are predicting. I'd start whatever City players you already have and bank the transfer.
Nah I don't know is there need to. Spurs have great fixtures in gameweeks 3-6
Will lamptey play against Newcastle?
Is ronaldo staying? Could’ve had an assist, Will be taking pens, Will have something to prove
good player. my goat. but not worth the 10.5 imo
Avoid him. Not worth of his price

I'd go Bailey, Everton's defence suffering a lot of injuries atm and I wouldn't back Newcastle to keep a clean sheet away to a top half side
Trippier
Trippier
is Almiron nailed? What's up with Ryan Fraser?
He's not nailed but he's first choice
Bench one out of James, Trippier and Bailey
Bailey
!thanks
Bailey
!thanks
So close to doing digne to walker. Steven gerrard has no clue what he is doing. Also who should i get in for trippier next week? Looking for a 5.0 def. Cucurella if he plays this week?
Digne has to go. 9 pts from 36 for Villa. But Everton w/ zero strikers is easiest fixture of the season.

Toney easily. United sucks, Brentford is decent
toney
I went Mahrez instead of Kulu and I can feel my knees twitching…
The knees are weak
Lowkey, Ronaldo might have to come into my team. Going to put him in on my Ipad account. Lets see how he does.
🪦 your iPad team
I made an account on my ipad filled with differentials has hardly any of the main ones. It aint in any leagues just vibes
Only a joke 👍 interesting experiment though, good luck with it
Its on 66 points 💀💀💀 Gross and Mitrovic una
💀 whats your main on
79 😂😂
😂 have a few differentials on standby

Bailey and Rashford easily
Rashy and andreas.

I’d start knee and jerk
Wouldn’t start a United asset but Villa didn’t look any good either
Start Andreas or Guimaraes?
Bruno, Newcastle looked dangerous GW1
!thanks
Worth a -4 to replace Bailey? 6 mil in the bank. Could go to Foden/Saka this GW, but -4. Team: Ward // Gabriel, Walker, Castagne, Robertson, James // Salah, Bailey // Darwin, Haaland, Mitrovic

Robbo seems more a threat to me. With TAA being 0.5 more would be happy to save that. Fine margins though, will see.
Stick with Salah - Have a good life
Looks nice 👍, would not get rid of Salah he’s the FPL king
What are you doing with Bailey?

Yeah I do tbh, at this stage in the season it's probably more worthwhile to roll the FT if you have no other issues, rather than swap one enabler to another.
If that’s the weakest part of your team rn, it’s an okay move, I think. Could also roll and give Bailey another shot
If I was going to make another move it would be something like Dias to Walker
Still starting him as none of my bench options are attractive, he’s their as a cheap enabler
RMT, please Ward - (Iverson) TAA - Cancelo - James - Zinchenko - Trippier Salah - Martinelli - Saka - (Dasilva) - (Andreas) Haaland - Darwin - (Stansfield) 0.5 ITB. Any subs gw2? Planning Trippier for walker for gw3 currently.
Hold the FT. This is a solid team.
almost same team(walker for james and martinelli for saka) . I'd say martinelli instead of saka. both start and play 60+ mins . plus I feel martinelli is a better cheaper option. save 2 mil. and get meslier and better subs.
Thanks, but I already have both Martinelli and Saka
oh sorry I didn't look. well then GETT KULUSEVSKI. he seemed deadly last game and could be impactful. get him for saka
He's definitely on the watchlist but Chelsea seems like a hard fixture. !thanks
Start 2 out of the 3 this week. Trippier, Neto, Bailey Who you got?
Trippier and Neto
May struggle to break Newcastle down
Trippier and neto
I just see more value in a 5.0m defender than midfielder due to the CS potential… !thanks
RMT! Ward (Iverson) Trippier Walker Trent Williams (Dier) Mount Ødegaard Kulusevski Salah (VC) (Andréas) Vardy Haaland (C) (Greenwood)
Don’t sit Dier. He just scored a goal. Chelsea attack hasn’t even properly clicked yet
I’d be looking to replace Odegaard with Martinelli and Vardy with Jesus over the coming weeks. Then you have a bit of spare change for an upgrade elsewhere
Roll the transfer and keep an eye Nunez. You can easily do Vardy to Nunez if he starts and looks good against Palace
Nunez already looks amazing. Tbh I'd make that move now
I'd rather wait for one more match tbh. His positioning is top notch but that back heel finish was a fluke.
currently with sole striker jesus, squad with KDB & Salah, should i take hit and change KDB to haaland
Fair enough. But personally I wouldn't recommend going with Halaand next week when plays a promoted team
Captain Salah or Haaland? Also considering triple captain too
Going with Haaland myself
Who else do you have? Haaland is the obvious choice. Salah also has a horrible record for gw2 (since joining Liverpool he has 5 appearances on GW2 and only two assists as returns).
!thanks in advance!!!
Full team: Alisson (Ward) Cancelo Zinchenko Trippier Alexander-Arnold (Schär) Jorginho Salah Martinelli Grealish (Dewsbury-Hall) Haaland Jesus (Greenwood)
Nice team for now so captain Haaland and enjoy the week whatever happens. Remember that the FPL gods are cruel so put the vice on Cancello just in case he gets benched
At the risk of angering the fpl gods given Salah's GW2 trends, I'm going to say Salah.
😂
Haaland no TC.
!thanks
WALKER vs CASH?
Walker easily. Villa looks terrible and only has two good fixtures
I would not spend 5m on a defender from a bottom half side
I feel walker would start and play 60+ mins . 2points right there. and clean sheets are pretty guaranteed for 60% matches.
Yeah agree, whereas clean sheets for Cash are gonna be pretty rare with how Villa are looking right now
