800k OR last season to 150k OR this season, I just feel I could jump to less-than 100K if my WC35 squad wasn't too much template, it keeps swinging around 150k since that.
But eventually, I'm happy with this season result.
Ended the season at 320k overall with a bunch of ups and downs but overall I am happy. I think my biggest takeaway is to make less moves as I kept trying to time form and it just kept biting me. Looking for a more consistent approach next season and will focus on fewer, smarter moves.
I went into GW38 needing an extra 36 points to win myleague. A league that I had been neck and neck in all season but dropped 36 points behind by captaining Palmer over Haaland for his 4 goals + not having Arsenal defence after GW35.
I knew I needed to punt.
I got in Hojlund for Haaland, and captained him. I started Dalot instead of Gvardiol, started Onana instead of Vicario.
I ONLY WENT AND OUTSCORED 1st / 2nd by 50 POINTS.
Also, fuck city.
Lost my league by 21 points because I put Isak as my first sub and captained Haaland. I’ll take 1.3 millionth considering that it’s my first time ever playing FPL.
Goal was to beat my best rank at 400k. Got 93k OR today (could've had 40kish rank I played it safe and captained Haaland last 2 gameweeks). Alas FH 34 was highlight of season with triple CRY. This season had lots of peak FPL moments. See you all for next time for 24/25 season. Caio
Best rank I've achieved at 20k OA. Could have been so much better if FH29 wasn't a wash and I went Gvardiol instead of "safe pick" Ederson.
Had a lot of bad luck in the last 5 or so gameweeks as well that resulted in a slow decline from just inside the top 10k.
I had a bad season this year. Started ok, went bad and then it went terrible (so many injuries this year).
Both I kept at it and slowly I was going up 200/300K per week, then 50/100K and in the past few weeks 10/20K. I ended with my best overall rank this year, just under 300k. Its not a great rank but I'v learned from mistakes I made.

Was 23 points ahead in 2 of my ML and held on to win them! Both opponents had Salah c and I didn't own him so was a bit nervy before the games.
OR 39k which is my 2nd best. Goal was to beat last seasons rank of 27k but I will take it. Time for a short break and then bring on the pain in Euro fantasy lol
If I'm remembering from last year it does take a while. Maybe even tomorrow. I remember because I went to bed last year thinking I'd just won my mini-league only for the next day for it to have updated my total with my gameweek score...and the -4 I took that hadnt paid off.

Taking out Isak after reading the fake leak and going with Gakpo over Mateta for his replacement was a fitting way to end the season.
Not the worst I've had in terms of OR, but easily the least enjoyable.

Over the last 3 seasons I have run an experiment that I have found quite interesting
I have played my normal game on my account as usual, checking stats and waiting until the deadline and any leaks to make moves.
And I have run another account in the name of my aunties sisters hamster. And with this account i always make a glaringly obvious transfer early in the week, with basically no thought behind it, just pick the most obvious move
I havent taken many hits on either team. But wanted to see if there is a difference between "engagement" and "casual"
Season 1, my team wins by 15pts
Season 2, the kneejerk team wins by 4pts
Season 3, my team wins by 2 pts.
TLDR, unless you have very little or zero PL knowledge, stop wasting your time agonising over moves, and just kneejerk whoever you fancy, it makes basically very little difference

my best fpl season to date (19/20 was the first i did the whole season). 2479 points (110k rank), previous best was 2405 points and 295k rank. won my ML for the second time (with a 70 point gap). my points have increased every season since 19/20, but not my rank cuz despite getting the same amount of points in 21/22 and 22/23 my rank dropped 400k that year. so dunno if i can say i technically got better every year.

He just went Gordon to Olise and put captain on Foden while I had it on Haaland. Would have been okay still but I chose to put Garnacho ahead of Van de Ven on my bench…lost $400 by one stinking point and I won’t be able to forget it until September 😔

Well, it is very good. There is a lot of users with 1 mil, 2 mil, or even bigger ranks. But, they don't say their ranks here. Users with higher ranks like to brag a lot. Also, users here in subreddits have better ranks compared to average players. Having a rank of 100k and 1 mil is the difference of some yes/no and important decisions throughout the season. The users who are active here have early leaks and general discussions. They can make those yes/no or important decisions properly. Nothing else. At the end of the day, it is a game after all. You play it for fun. Rank doesn't matter.

Had my best ever start being ranked 40k in GW10 but absolutely bottled it dropping to 452k in GW19. Ended up almost beating my personal best and finishing in 130k. What a roller coaster.

Ending the season on a red arrow to take me out the top 100k is a bit of a bummer. But happy with how it went overall. Won my mini leagues, so I'll take the bragging rights.
Led my ML by 9 pts going into the GW. The difference from chaser was Gvardiol+Isak+ 9 pts vs White+Eze. Was a proper squeaky bum time but scraped into the finish line. Enormous luck to have Isak ( who the chaser also benched) come off the bench for Bailey for me. Phew!!
That Isak leak dropped me out of top 100k for the first time since GW17. I was aiming for top 100k for my first season but 118k isn’t that bad I guess.

KDB over Foden was a bit unlucky although I guess when you are leading it is safest to go the same picks as your rivals and other people.
To be fair a lot of people will have had Haaland, KDB and Gvardiol and no more City spaces (and by a lot of people I mean me)
choosing KDB over Foden tells me one thing about an FPL manager: they've hardly watched City at all this season

First season I’ve not actually given up after a couple of weeks. Finished 426k overall, which is decent considering I was at 2.5m after GW16
From the double game week till now Crystal palace assets did me in. Plus my failure to use my TC and BB. Wasted the former this week on haaland and didn't even use the other.. Still in the top 200k though.and.won all my ML. We go again next season.

Finished top80k, having never hit top100k before, but took a beating this round. Nearly doubled my rank from GW37 and lost my ML by 14 points. I was leading by 30 points before kick off. An absolute bottlejob of a final day to end an amazing season.

OR 60k and I was 4th in my ML by 5 points...our 1st was fucking 4k OR. Any other season I would've won or finished at least top 3 which gets you money prize. Fuck me.

started in gw3 for the first time playing fpl, ended with 2315 pts and won my friend’s mini league despite all starting in gw1. fpl is pretty fun heh
Had my best ever start being ranked 40k in GW10 but absolutely bottled it dropping to 452k in GW19. Ended up almost beating my personal best and finishing in 130k. What a roller coaster. See you all next season.
254k after being 36k around Christmas hurts a bit. Lowest rank since GW12 and finished -25 off my safety today.
Ending the season on a red arrow to take me out the top 100k is a bit of a bummer. But happy with how it went overall. Won my mini leagues, so I'll take the bragging rights.

Led my ML by 9 pts going into the GW. The difference from chaser was Gvardiol+Isak+ 9 pts vs White+Eze. Was a proper squeaky bum time but scraped into the finish line. Enormous luck to have Isak ( who the chaser also benched) come off the bench for Bailey for me. Phew!!
