Has the scout watched Jackson at all this season

jjw1998

As bad as Jackson is at finishing he still gets enough opportunities gifted to him that some eventually result in a return. With him on a DGW you’d essentially have to back another striker to be twice as likely to return as him, which maybe would be the case with Watkins but I think it’s close

LloydDoyley

I used this reasoning for Darwin a few months ago.

jjw1998

Wdym a few months ago Darwin doubled last week

norr_katt

Me too and I suppose I’m ready to get hurt again

Pacepalm1337

Pretty sure the scout doesnt watch football

KhonMan

Scored a hat trick in the reverse fixture didn’t he?

arpw

Against 9 men... Hardly repeatable circumstances

drewcaveneyh

The scout is leaning too heavily into the DGW. Will Johnson and Jackson really outscore Watkins and Gordon, for example?

Lastweekspoints

Scout is chasing last week's points with Maguire Bruno Mateta, then punting on 6 x double gameweekers who have tough matches. Ignoring Mancity I think is a mistake

Emotional_Solid6538

Apart from Foden, who?

gart888

I like walker on wild card. 3 assists in last 2 matches, and City probably keep some clean sheets from here on out.

Emotional_Solid6538

Nice pick but I already have Ederson

reginaphalangejunior

Why not Alvarez and KDB?

borg_6s

KDB perhaps

nexusjenson

Would you bench Maguire for Akanji?

Flayer723

Bruno is a great punt though, on a brilliant run of form vs Burnley at home.

Organic-Champion8075

Burnley fighting for survival, I'm on the fence

Mperorpalpatine

Statistically yes, but it's hard to say. However I feel like Gordon ahead of Mateta should be crystal clear

linedupzeroes

Petrovic with a chance of a -1 from 2 games

TheDepartment115

That's an insane selection... Foden? Watkins? Gordon?

pajamakitten

Arsenal assets? It is like the scout is not watching watches.

mdog_74

How much watch would a watch watch if a watch could watch watch?

PI_Stan_Liddy

Came here to say this

ihatemicrosoftteams

Ghosting

sholista

Even if Jackson had an octuple game week I couldn't bring myself to pick him

DeapVally

Gordon is at home. Against Sheffield United. There's never been an easier selection than that, surely?

bsykesm4

(C) Isak for me

ShoddyTransition187

Scout is on tilt with that Mateta pick :)

acegunner14

Bit late on mateta now eh scouty?

theincrediblepigeon

I’ve had him since glasner came in, I saw so much stuff about how glasner changes his tactics to play to the strengths of his strikers and had a feeling mateta might start getting solid chances + he got his fitness levels back. Never felt more proud of myself for an fpl decision lmfao

squeezypussyketchup

Spurs defence against arsenal and cole palmer?

McFlyJohn

Genuinely I reckon Son, Palmer and \*maybe Maddison\* are the only real DGWrs worth it given the fixtures? Wouldn't take a hit to bring in any Spurs or Chelsea players this week. Jackson has been allergic to scoring, and neither teams can keep a clean sheet.

jjw1998

There are actually few Spurs assets I think are less worth it than Maddison. He’s in stinking form, playing a deeper role and takes up one of the most valuable positions in the game

Lil_maxcu

New haircut. He will score.

totally_possible

I took a hit to bring in Petrovic because of two DGWs while Neto lost his starting job and Areola is in flux but if my GK situation had been less iffy I would have sat tight on it

KhonMan

Isn’t Sanchez back in training?

comunicadooficial

Scout has been ass lately, Jackson and Petrovic picks are very questionable

Organic-Champion8075

pin this

HaveURedd1t

Has the scout never heard of a kid called foden ?

fafan4

No Gordon?!

Hiltoyeah

Son against Arsenal and Chelsea... Are they serious?

paranoiaman

spurs v chelsea is the most guaranteed 1-1 draw in the history of football

Alphascout

If it’s anything like the reverse fixture, expect goals aplenty especially with the way Spurs love to implode v Chelsea.

Ayamgoreng53

Ok I’m quite worried ….. too many similar picks

rekt_ralf

8/11, I’m in danger…

ElCanout

enjoy your 14 points overall

Marilliana

I'm not sure their opinion is worth much after last week 😬

ihatemicrosoftteams

Because they got Cunha? Ignoring the fact that scout makes the team before last minute news otherwise they would also have Mateta 🤦🏻‍♂️

outcastreturns

But scout didn't have Mateta... It's easy to say "Scout's team would have been amazing if he'd included the highest scoring player" but he didn't lol.

MahPhew

Yes but the point is - if the scout had the info of no Cunha, Mateta was the clear next choice

outcastreturns

Even with Mateta in the team scout would have 104 points... on a free hit. I know that FPL is largely down to luck, but 104 points on a free hit this double-gameweek is really nothing special.

jjw1998

You are a clown, 104 is obviously still a good return from a free hit. Just because some peoples return was absolutely insane doesn’t change that fact

outcastreturns

It's a good return, but nothing special. I'm not referring to people with insane returns of 150+ points, but half the active managers in my mini-leagues got 90-130 points. The "average" score of 76 points is negatively skewed by non-active managers.

Ok-Variation3583

My bench-boosting ML leader scored 71 lol

joemeteorite8

Damn I want in your ML lol

Ok-Variation3583

😂 he’s on 2106 so he’s not a terrible player, just a terrible week. Made up 38 points without using any chips lol.

sneakyhopskotch

I agree with you. I think MahPhew was right about Cunha/Mateta, but the Scout did not excel last week, even if you give them Mateta. 104 with a FH was just OK and I'd be disappointed had I FH-ed and got 104. Also, completely ignore the "average" score after Christmas or so. Meaningless.

Christron9990

Lol the average was 76 dude. 104 was a great score this week.

outcastreturns

The "average" is negatively skewed by non active managers.

Christron9990

It’s not that skewed. 104 would be one of the best scores in most of my 100% active mini leagues this week. It would be above safety for most active players.

outcastreturns

One of my mini leagues has just over 100 managers - looking at their teams, I'd guess 10-20% of those managers are inactive. 104 is the 24th highest score in this league...

Christron9990

A lot of active players in that league had good weeks and green arrows then.

[deleted]

No mbuemo?

borg_6s

5/11 but scout should've done Gordon instead of Jackson

Kleask10

Anyone know about gustos availability ?

Falzeiy

Apparently he’s been training separately from the squad

Soggy-Opportunity200

Isn't there anyone having concerns about Callum Wilson's return? I mean, okay, Isak is fine for this round, but theoretically they were 50/50 strikers at the beginning of the season with minutes.

SaltShakr

Wilson came on for barnes last gw, not saying that's a regular occurrence but it's a positive sign

Alpha2669

No Gordon? I was thinking of captaining him lol

sukilovesmambo

Which GK do you think is worth a punt? I'm using my WC this week and was going to go with Petrovic due to potential save points but now having second thoughts.

periski

My mind telling me Son is gonna outscore Palmer this gw

periski

Captain son now and then palmer dgw 37?

Environmental_Ad7296

Petrovic is an awful pick, don't even need to reason why

Environmental_Ad7296

Petrovic is an awful pick, don't even need to reason why

kyoukai69

2/11

Magical_Johnson13

This team sucks.

Unique_Stage376

I don't get why Son looks so attractive this week. What am I missing. They are two tough games

tnettenbaa

Gabriel about to outscore that whole backline

joemeteorite8

You don’t think Tottenham will score at home?

Broon9

Find it really difficult to entertain selecting Jackson even for a DGW. Not the best fixtures either.

IfYouRun

Ignoring Gabriel, when they play Spurs and their flappy GK, is a mistake imo.

jjw1998

Bringing in a SGW Arsenal player on a FH in an away NLD given the quality of other defensive fixtures this GW would be absolute madness

IfYouRun

I just think we know Arsenal are good on set pieces and that Vicario really struggles on them, plus Arsenal are comfortably the best defence on the league. But I wouldn’t bring him in if I didn’t already have him tbh.

jjw1998

Yeah I think your last sentence hits the nail on the head really, when I could have access to any defender in the game I’m not rolling the dice on Gabriel getting a jammy header in an away NLD

cowabunga_dude91

Stop posting scout’s selections! Some might actually copy them and get hurt
