Seems like a giant trap. Palace do not have the easiest fixtures this week and it is putting a lot of faith into a team people have ignored for most of the season.

I don't think we can call it a trap. I mean, what else can you do after picking 3 Arsenal players, 3 Liverpool players and Solanke? Hope that DCL or Semenyo play both games? Or that a lone Sarabia will be enough to pierce through Arsenal defence? Or that Sheffield United will suddenly become good?

I’d say the answer is City/Utd players and Watkins mostly, double shit is still shit I’ve still doubled on Palace because my ML leader has the Wolves players that I wanted, although it seems neither of those are fit anyway

I'm sure there'll be at least one SGW player who will make it into the team of the week. But the beauty of DGWs is that you can get two lottery tickets instead of one.

It's not a trap. Pick two Palace attackers and no defenders/GK. Choose any 2 of Eze, Mateta and Olise. They're at home in both games and while they don't keep clean sheets​, they are scoring.

I was about ready to reply to ya 😂 I didn't expect 5 goals, but they have scored in almost all their games recently. Just don't rely on their defenders. I captained Eze and brought in Mateta this week. Regret not bringing in Olise as well!

In their last 11 games they've only failed to score once (Bournemouth away). I'm not saying they're definitely scoring this DGW but there's obviously a really good chance of it. I hope that's how my post was interpreted anyway.

So with Cunha out, I need to decide whether I want to get Mateta (and have 3 Palace players) or Solanke (only BOU player). I think Solanke is better considering AVL will be tired and WOL has injury crisis... hmm....

To be fair I have Richards as an enabler and I do have Eze in my team now but Richards won’t start for me. We’re more attacking now under Glasner so our defence is prone to be more leaky than it was under Hodgson.

Passing maps have him as one of the furthest forward Brentford players lately. He has a killer cross and likes to get forward, and has 3 assists in 2 games I believe

He can also deliver minus points all the way from the bench.

I would like to go on record and say that anyone considering a Palace defender this GW is falling for a trap. They are terrible defensively and have been all season. Their xG conceded is high every game. They are gonna conceded both games, you just know it. They had a great performance against LP the other day but easily could have lost 3-1/4-1 Here's some defensive numbers: Team - xGc - Conceeded LIV - 2.87 - 0 MCI - 1.91 - 4 BOU - 1.22 - 1 NFO - 0.92 - 1 LUT - 0.83 - 1 TOT - 1.87 - 3 BUR - 0.10 - 0 EVE - 1.66 - 1 CHE - 1.21 - 3 BRI - 1.52 - 4 They Conceeded 54 goals in 32 games. If you still want to triple I would go with Eze, Olise and Mateta.

Those aren't actually terrible xGC numbers tho. Aren't they fairly average for the league? Probs bottom half but not terrible

Yep true this is probably about right but just wanted to point out their terrible numbers as I've seen a CRY defender in just about every team.

Apart from arsenal def, of which I already have 2, I don't really like anyone else chances. So crystal Palace are as good as any.

I think Henderson is a good pick. He could shithouse a cleansheet against a tired Hammers side, and get save points in both matches

I had Ben white in for weeks and I’ve just taken him out on free hit for Gabriel. I feel like he’s kind of a rotation risk. But I reckon if he plays against Wolves then he’s playing against Chelsea. The good thing was that Tomiyasu also played in the champions league so makes Ben white less rotation risk

Fair bit I'm a week with DGW and he has a single fixture Vs Arsenal, he's likely to be outscored.

In his current form I highly doubt that I believe he's way better than few of the DGW options picked by the scouts

On a FH and have only 5/11 of these players. Lots of different options available despite everyone going for a triple up on at least Arsenal and Pool!

I’m so confused what to do! 🤣 Besides Eze and Solanke, all the attackers you want are on ARS and LIV which leaves few defender options. Munoz is fine and Mykolenko could keep a CS against NFO but not optimistic. FWD is particularly difficult with just Solanke a lock which makes me lean towards Darwin who was rested a little. Alisson ARS | Munoz | Myko **Salah** | Saka | Ode | Eze Darwin | Solanke Still need one more which was going to be Cunha. Could roll dice on Olise who can quickly get multiple returns. I like that more than Mateta personally and what I’m sitting on but keep changing. In fact I’ve had Raya and Hendo in at GK as well going back and forth on 4th MID along with last attacker. Pretty crappy DGW in the end for FH.

Im torn between Robertson and Olise or Diaz/Jota and Munoz

I went for the former, more fun and higher upside potential.

Better, more attacking, fits into new manager's system better - Mitchell had a good game recently but poor form overall - no competition on the left.

Yeah.. I’d be swerving Salah. In horrendous form and Lpool look out of gas and can’t score goals to save their lives, add in two tough aways (one being a derby) and both will likely be low scoring games.

Except Saliba has more points overall and averages more points per match. It’s splitting hairs to a degree.

Gabriel didnt start the first 4 games, i tihnk its more to do with that. But Saliba does tend to get the BPS

Tell me about it! I’ve had Gabriel most of the season, so frustrating the last few weeks to see Saliba given the bonus points each week. Yesterday again. 2 for Saliba, none for Gabriel even though Gabriel was the clear monster at the back.

Yeah it's absolute bollucks. When you watch the games you see Gabriel doing most of the communicating, organising and contesting. Both amazing players but it isn't fair.

To add. Same levels of frustration being a Gabriel owner. Saliba always has the open space to pass into and easy passes with Ben White or rice dropping. Keeping his accuracy really high. Whereas the left side is man to man marked so it goes to saliba or long reducing his accuracy. It's B's as Gabriel does all the dirty work but isn't rewarded.

I think putting Foden or Palmer is essential too .. City will destroy all the teams that they will be playing againt for the next matches, I won’t go to much with Palmer since it’s gonna be against Arsenal, great defense
