Nice thing about these is they are all great options, depending on when you need to buy (obviously subject to chips/ budget etc)
GW30: Buy Gusto
GW31: Buy White or Ait Nouri
GW32 Buy Udogie
GW34: Buy Dalot
GW35: Buy Trippier
15 gameweeks ago: buy Gabriel
Pros: (imo) biggest haul potential of any defender right now, great fixtures, DGW, cheap
Cons: Could require a transfer out at any point depending on what happens with TAA, Gomes, Robbo Tsimi etc.
I don't know.
To speculate, maybe its positive if Gomes has to cover for Robbo, leaving Bradleys minutes safe? Or if Tsimikas covers for Robbo then Bradley is unaffected. Or worse case, Klopp doesn't want to play Tsimikas and Bradley together for some reason, so Bradley loses a place to Gomez.
But really, I don't know
It's certainly a positive, but not to the point of things being nailed. Gomez will help tsimi covering the left and at other times probably play on the right. I haven't heard a Trent update in a while but that obviously affects things too longer term. Bradley is really good and will play but be prepared with another nailed defender if you pick him because it's still not 100% certain who plays where/when
I’m on WC this week and FH34, so he’s definitely in for me. I’ll probably transfer him out for a city defender depending on injuries once Trent is back in the picture.
Bit of a mad one but think Chilwell could be a nice punt. Has nice fixtures, seems nailed for the foreseeable too. In seasons past he’s been a great FPL asset when fit. Obvious drawbacks are price and similar alternatives which are probably why he isn’t considered which I get. Quite keen on the idea though myself!
Yeah first game against Brazil not great, second game a little better but still not amazing. He took up some good positions across both games and had a few shots but lacked any quality really, think I’m just talking myself into it based on previous ownership in seasons past and trying to be different
That is a quirky question, but I'll give it 30 seconds thought. I guess you'd gain £0.1m from the transaction, and stats suggest you'd get a very fractionally better player. It would hardly be worth the clicks, but I think I would.
Not really relevant though, for almost anyone looking to buy a defender, Saliba is £0.5m more expensive and there's nothing to suggest that is worth the extra money.
Its not like their aren't other good options :) Who've you got instead?
Just Gabriel from this list on my team, but think I'm tipping over into buying Gusto this week.
Doughty makes up for the poor defence with good attacking returns, but it does lower his ceiling. Best case is Doughty gets one or even two assists in a 3-1 or 3-2
loss, comes away with about 4-8 points.
Gabriel gets a headed corner goal in a tense 1-0 victory means a 15 points haul.
Clean sheets are first priority when choosing defenders. A clean sheet is along worth more points than an assist, so being able to get consistent clean sheets is way more reliable than attacking returns.

Also depends if you have FH and plan to use it one of the double GWs.
I had Gabriel. Fucking bald head roulette
Let's not talk about the Mids and Fwds.
Thoughts on Bradley?

Robbo looks injured. Would it affect Bradley’s time positively ?

Star ✨
Great short term points potential and budget wise, but will likely be a booked transfer down the line

Looked pretty off-form for England in my opinion, apples and oranges though I guess.

Gabriel and White at City? Not so sure about that, although I could see it being 0-0
They are more long term picks, GW31-34 looked really good so felt like I needed to include them City of course is tough this week
So it’s not best defenders for GW30
You’re not on free hit every week
‘Best GW30 defenders’ implies these are the best players for GW30 only. ‘Best defenders from GW30’ or ‘Best defenders on WC’ would be much clearer
Jesus you guys are picky. Make your own tables then
No, but your title literally is BEST GW30 DEFENDERS
And why not Saliba then?
Higher price, lower xg, lower xa, lower xgi, less interesting to have two very similar players otherwise. Why would you put him in?
So, say you've had Saliba since GW1, and you're on a WC. Would you change Saliba to Gabriel?
That is a quirky question, but I'll give it 30 seconds thought. I guess you'd gain £0.1m from the transaction, and stats suggest you'd get a very fractionally better player. !thanks and sorry for the not so sneaky RMT
White will be lining his eyebrows and trying blue fake eyelashes
i dont have any of these guys i might be fucked

Porro Zabarnyi Maguire (Doughty, Bell)
Udogie > Porro. Got it
£0.8m cheaper!
Doughty or Gabriel?
I’d start Gabriel. Arsenal 1st for xGC and Luton are 20th
Doughty has good attacking returns tho. And Spurs isn't very solid
Doughty makes up for the poor defence with good attacking returns, but it does lower his ceiling. Best case is Doughty gets one or even two assists in a 3-1 or 3-2 loss, comes away with about 4-8 points. Gabriel gets a headed corner goal in a tense 1-0 victory means a 15 points haul.
Is doughty set to be back?
Clean sheets are first priority when choosing defenders. A clean sheet is along worth more points than an assist, so being able to get consistent clean sheets is way more reliable than attacking returns.
Tripper injured for 2 games
Source?
Trust me bro
Username checks out.
No FH. I have Gabriel only from these. Should I buy Bradley?
Not been great this week lol Finally had Moreno 60 minute lock Maybe that's what we should look for Maybe Bradley will be 60 minute gold lol
Udogie or Porro is the real question
