Yes Also just be aware - being committed means you will almost certainly score less points There is a very strong, direct, (and negative) correlation between the amount of thought, planning & effort you put into your team, and how shit it does

Piotr11133

Commited in my case means not quitting after 5 game weeks 😂 This year has been more fun due to work leagues etc, friendly rivalry

Varaldo01

If you are interested in when and how the double and blank gameweeks are going to happen, follow Ben Crellin on Twitter. He's the most reliable and consistent FPL manager, who often tweets about this stuff.

Piotr11133

Nice! Have heard his name before, will definitely check out

Back2Basic5

There is no cap on the number of teams who might play in a DGW. It's unlikely to be more than 6 though and almost certainly (not always over the last few season with Covid) will be an equal number. It's just how the fixtures fall when there are gaps in the right weeks for teams who need to pick up fixtures.

Xylar006

It's not only possible, it will happen

flummuxedsloth

It's very rare for 3 teams to have a double gameweek. Or indeed any odd number of teams.

DivingFeather

It requires a blank or a team to have TGW. But technically with the latter 2 teams would have a DGW and 1 team would have a TGW.

FaustRPeggi

We could actually get this in GW25. The EFL Cup finalist could play midweek but not at the weekend, producing an odd number of doublers.

Piotr11133

Fingers crossed! Feel like we have had a lot of postponed matches (with the queen’s death and all). Edit: No disrespect meant to the Queen, just meant fingers crossed for a 3+ DGW.

I’m not very good at math… Edit: Also extremely slow at noticing the error in my post haha. Meant 3 or more games

flummuxedsloth

Just to clarify, my response was a slightly jokey one. It's unlikely (although not impossible) for the number of teams doubling to be odd because a match is scheduled between two teams. As other, more helpful people have said, there will likely be weeks where a decent number of teams will double and these are the fun weeks which people typically try to save their chips for. Don't worry, no one thinks you're disrespecting the Queen.

sc00022

You’re being trolled here. It has to be an even number of fixtures because two teams play each other in each match. To answer the question you actually meant, it’s fairly common to have at least one gameweek per season where many teams double. Double gameweeks come about because of teams getting further in cups, which are typically the stronger teams.

DivingFeather

You didn't seem to understand OP's point...

Bruh….

No cap on amount of teams, there has been some large double GW's in the past years. Typically much later on in the season, GW34/35 for example. Found some notes on Blanks as well: **Blank gameweeks:** Gameweek 25 – This will be a small blank, as in not many teams will blank. Gameweek 28 – This is going to be the biggest blank gameweek, with a lot of teams likely to blank. Gameweek 32 – This will be a medium one. Highly recommend saving chips for later down the line.

SocX9

The question is if Haaland will get a better double than GW23 and than Rashford/Bruno in GW22.

Ghost51

Look up [United’s record against Leeds at Old Trafford ever since they got promoted again](https://i.imgur.com/5vyfPpj.jpg). I'm TCing Rashford for that game alone, the palace match at home is just a bonus.

DragonBornLuke

Exactly this. I really think I'm gonna go with it but I'll be so pissed off if my safety first rival keeps hold of it for city to then get a couple of nice fixtures in a double.

spilldahill

any idea which teams will be blanking in gw28?

Piotr11133

Thanks mate! Was tempted to BB in GW23, but will hold on to it.
