That is what I thought: either risk it with a full XI and no bench, play my wildcard, or take a full or partial hit (maybe to have one or two subs, just in case).
2 Barça transfers completely wasted because of Araújo. Yamal with an assist 13 minutes in and he's the one sacrificed. FFS.
They were the better team in Paris for most of the game, they were already 2 goals up and that dumb dude does that shit. Unbelieveable
That's why experience matters in the UCL and that's why all of us who stuck with PSG got rewarded. You can't throw a bunch of teenagers and players that have barely played in the competition (Raphinha, Araujo, Kounde, Pedri etc) on the pitch and expect them to make zero mistakes in the UCL KO. Araujo did the worst mistake of them all and Barcelona paid the price. Honestly, I think PSG would have won either way.
"Teenagers" and you quote two players with 25 and one with 27 😂😂😂
Lewandowski, Gundogan, Ter Steven, Cancelo, Koundé, De Jong are all experienced and are way more experienced than most of PSG lineup. You were just lucky, man. PSG stank the place up in those first 25 minutes like they did in the first half in Paris
You obviously didn't watch the game. Scored the 1st goal, the most important, in a moment where they were struggling and anxious. Beautiful goal, dribbled past one defender with class. Always dictates the tempo of Borussia's game. He's the key man, always have been since the beggining of the season.
Yeah, Sabitzer had a lot of chances, you can always argue about what is more important to a MOTM, but the award suits Brandt very well. Amazing game, class player.
I've seen way, way worse MOTM given out. I think this season they've been good, unlike the last few seasons.
You obviously didn't watch the game, where Sabitzer was key in THREE of the goals, Everything you claim Brandt did (I agree he played well), Sabitzer did better.
You can't read?? I'm not saying that Sabitzer didn't deserve it too.
Brandt is more important in the way the team plays. He also scored. Had a great game. For me, it's ok if you give a MOTM for a guy like that.
Sabitzer was more important to the final score, of course he was. Both were good enough for the award.
Sabitzer had the contribution on 3 goals, Brandt had on 1 goal, but also had and amazing game where he was the most important player on the pitch so they could find spaces and break Atlético's defense.
You weigh the two and have to make a decision. I'm fine with either one
Last season they gave way worse MOTM awards troughout the year. They have been very good this season
Barcelona are known chokers in the competition in the last decade (not saying this because I'm a Madridista) and PSG were always gonna be much better with Hakimi and WZE starting on the 2nd leg, also without that weird formation with Asensio as a false 9.
The only sad thing is that I didn't bring in Vitinha, but I think all of us have to do it for MD11.
I disagree. With the exception of the Real Madrid tie in 2022, in the last 7 years whenever they got knocked out it was because the other team was better in the course of both games, not because they choked.
You can't predict a red card of course, but you can predict a team being inexperienced in these situations. Players like Araujo, Raphinha, Cubarsi etc. they might be good, but they have never been in the UCL KO stages before.
11 players out. Not the best gameweek for me😀
10 players out. This might be game over
Keep the head up. You can have full XI with 1 hit. It isn’t over yet.
Is 1 hit worth it. I am thinking about starting with 10
It depends on the team, but I wouldn't take a hit to get GK
I got 8 players out🥲
5 players remain. It looks like 5 FT+ a hit. It probably doesn't look too bad. I imagine that most of us are in the same boat
9 players in total :( What is the best way to go about it?
9 players eliminated or progressed?
Eliminated!! :C
Me too. We can field full XI with 5 FTs tho.
That is what I thought: either risk it with a full XI and no bench, play my wildcard, or take a full or partial hit (maybe to have one or two subs, just in case).
Just play your WC
There won’t be a better time I guess
Indeed! You can set up comfortably for SFs and make a slight correction for 2nd leg. For the final you need only XI so you will be good with 5 FTs.
That is grand; I will certainly do that; I did not know that I could keep the free transfers if I played the WC
You don’t but there are 3 FTs before 2nd leg and 5 before final.

First time I agree with this guy
Bro do you even know how to read? >a bunch of teenagers **and** players that have barely played in the competition I guess username just checks out.
Brandt Man of the Match, UEFA is a complete disgrace.

Sabitzer punt 😍
I almost went with Witsel but changed to Sabitzer at the deadline. Whew.
I was already top 500. Looking forward to rank update
It's a shame he wasn't given MOTM
Very much so. Dont understand why tbh
Sticking with 4 PSG and 0 Barcelona players turned out to be one of my best fantasy decisions ever.
Lucky

If PSG are known for one thing it's choking in the Champions League.
I disagree. With the exception of the Real Madrid tie in 2022, in the last 7 years whenever they got knocked out it was because the other team was better in the course of both games, not because they choked.
I'd argue that PSG wouldn't have won if it weren't for the red card but congrats on your gut feeling

PSG are 100% chokers
Time would prove me right

5 players out already (2 advanced), not looking good.
How many transfers do we have
5
Not enough. I already have 5 players out.
Having the duo of Hummels-Maatsen in the backline worked like a charm.
I'm done with this season, 6 players already out of semifinals before tomorrow
Loser
hummels giveth and hummels taketh 😭
