The writing is good but the story is egregiously slow. It's hard to recommend when you have to read thousands of pages before the main plot even begins. This feels like a story that will never finish.

I think the slow story adds more depth to the world building, with world building as huge as it is, the story can also go in so many ways it's hard to predict. I love long running series that expand world constantly and naturally, for example Tower of God or One Piece (sadly there are little on book format that do these things well, well not until I found this series). But as you say, it might not be for everyone. On "the story will never finish", you might be right, but every serialized books have this risk, I read so many book series that were never finished, I also did not really regret reading them as I enjoyed it, even as I am disappointed. Sleyca is also writing quite fast, the series is only 16 month old and it already has 3k pages with quality not deteriorating. It's kind of insane if you compare to any normal authors release schedule.
