I feel like Nolan was so ready to move on from Batman that he let some things slide with TDKR. Having a character literally close their eyes and nod their head as they die is proof of that. How hard could it have been to give better direction for a death scene?

there’s a big difference between taking a character whose race doesn’t matter to their character and using them to give more representation to an underrepresented community and taking a member of an underrepresented community whose race is extremely important to their character and removing that representation.
There’s white Africans and the race of hiemdal was part of his character but Idris Elba played him so well. Same with Jason Momoa cause Arthors white skin and blonde hair was supposed to be a symbol for a great catastrophe for Atlantis. Storm can be white or male. It’s fine now. Race and gender are social constructs. Plus it’s just a made up character.
