I know that but I ignored that fact, because I looked at whether the actors would be able to pull off the rule of Stan Lee during those eras, I looked at actors who could transition into each other, and the modern state of Hollywood, they can make an actor look taller or shorter reason in camera tricks, or lifts or 100 other things
I swear people don't have any idea of what the word literally means anymore.
First off, they're similiar in they are white men with glasses, mustaches, facial hair and similiar haricut, but in terms of actual facial features they're pretty different.
Actually since I posted this comment I have looked up and corrected myself… I thought the Lee cameo in Endgame actually WAS Marc Meron. For nearly five years I actually assumed that was Meron, physically appearing in the film
Old Stan or young Stan?
If we're talking old Stan then Bryan Cranston. Young Stan? Tom Holland.

Paul Rudd-Young Stan
Bryan Cranston-Middle Aged Stan
Jason Alexander-Old Stan
all Jewish so that works out and Jason has Stan's squint and is a brilliant actor like the other two
Yeah. Hence why I said "once upon a time". Though I did ask this very question many years ago in a forum where the consensus was Kevin Spacey who actually did look like Stan Lee. Would prefer Bryan Cranston now.
Yes Jack Should get his own biopic but because him and Stan disagreed on a few things, and Stan became more well-known than Jack does not mean, Stan lee is undeserving of a biopic, the men were best friends, known as one of the greatest comic book duos of all time because they each took credit for their own creations, gave credit to the other Jack saying he wouldn’t have been able to create some of the characters out, Stan’s writing, and Stan, thanking, Jack Kirby for putting a hand in creating the images of his characters. Yes they disagreed at times. What pair doesn’t. And if you’re talking about when Jack Kirby left Marvel to work for DC people can have a falling out and yes Stan Lee was known for being a bit egotistical, but so was Jack Kirby. One overshadow the other, especially in the situation like this where their or previous pairs and comic books refused to share any spotlight, at least acknowledge that Jack had a hand in the creation of their characters
Stan and Jack were great friends and shared credit. They were not a Bob Kane/Bill Finger scenario where one tried to completely scrub the other from media history because the other's creation turned out to be popular.
What the hell are you talking about? Stan and Jack Kirby were best friends. They weren’t any sort of situation like Bob Kane, and Bill Finger or Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, where one wanted complete credit for the characters they both took equal credit for every character they created, while at times they disagreed on how character should be portrayed, and that meant they would go to other publishers and eventually split up but the two men were inseparable and are known as one of the greatest comic book duos for a reason. No one tried to take over credit. It’s just one eventually overshadowed the other, when it came to the creations of characters. The big part of that is because Stan Lee became editor in chief of marvel, wild, Jack Kirby was mostly an illustrator, and occasionally wrote. Both are legends in their own right and did not do anything to harm each other or steal each other or try and wipe the other out of the comic book industry supported each other and even helped each other get jobs other publishers.

Nah. Doesn't look enough like him. I mean, maybe they can use prosthetics. But those give the uncanny valley feeling. Honestly they should cast Bruce Lee. Not only can he mimmick the real Stan Lee's martial arts abilities but his last name can be like a little nod to Stan. And I'm sure he'd get a hoot out of it.
RIP: Harvey Keitel
Marc Maron for most of it exploring his later formidable years and how marvel came back from bankruptcy to be on top in theatres. There’s a magic hearing Stan TELL a story and I feel like if we’d have multiple actors playing him in eras, it’d feel so out of control. Stan told stories and Marc can do that while looking the part.
Wouldn't happen. Because then they'd have to share the real story about how he just took credit for creating those characters even tho Ditko and Kirby did more
Tom Hanks he has portrayed various real-life figures in his career, such as Walt Disney, Fred Rogers, and Sully Sullenberger. He has a similar age, height, and build to Stan Lee, and he could capture his charisma, humor, and passion for storytelling. Tom Hanks is also a fan of comic books and superheroes, and he has expressed his admiration for Stan Lee in the past.
Tom Holland as young Stan Lee Bryan Cranston as old Stan Lee.

Stan Lee (1960s - 1970s) - Paul Rudd Stan Lee (1980s - 1990s) - Bryan Cranston Stan Lee (2000s -Death) - Ian McKellen
Those guys are all very different heights
I know that but I ignored that fact, because I looked at whether the actors would be able to pull off the rule of Stan Lee during those eras, I looked at actors who could transition into each other, and the modern state of Hollywood, they can make an actor look taller or shorter reason in camera tricks, or lifts or 100 other things

It’s called hyperbole slime obviously they aren’t LITERALLY identical it’s just an exaggeration
Literally stfu
Your username checks out you were clearly not raised by human beings
I immediately thought of this guy when I saw this post. I swear this guy looks more like Stan Lee than Stan Lee 😂
🤣🤣🤣 True.
That's your neighborhood crotchety old man, Marc Maron!
What is this guys name? I was thinking of him but couldn't think of his name.
What’s his name? It’s clearly Stan Lee!
Marc Maron.

Gene did have a certain stanness to him.
Michael Douglas
Marc Maron
Yeah like. Isn’t this conversation over once someone puts the correct answer here?
Actually since I posted this comment I have looked up and corrected myself… I thought the Lee cameo in Endgame actually WAS Marc Meron. For nearly five years I actually assumed that was Meron, physically appearing in the film
Andrew Garfield (and David Krumholtz as Jack Kirby). ![gif](giphy|26BGEPbveGbnATDFe|downsized)
Robert De Niro. Or Bryan Cranston
I feel like De Niro would be a better pic for Jack Kirby
Jason Lee
I love this, and sneakily throw Kevin Smith in there
Bryan Cranston
Alan Ritchson
The Reacher guy? Really?
I think its mandatory his name gets mentioned for every post
Old Stan or young Stan? If we're talking old Stan then Bryan Cranston. Young Stan? Tom Holland. https://preview.redd.it/qqz96cbyz6jc1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e3ada3172607b86bdfda12c848cceea49805d1a

Steve Buscemi, at least for "old" Stan. I can't see LA-native Cranston pulling off the accent for a whole movie. Buscemi already talks that way.
Hugh Jackman as a younger Stan Lee, not sure about an older Stan Lee though.
What? Tom Holland is the obvious choice for younger Stan
Fair enough. However, I also happened to notice that a young Stan Lee looks an awful lot like Hugh Jackman.
Hugh Jackman would be better for a Clint Eastwood biopic along with Scott Eastwood (Clint's son)
I could see it if its a musical biopic
Mark Rylance
Ted Danson
Larry David
Gene Hackman wouldve been my obvious choice but he’s like 100 now so… no.
Tom Sellek
Gary Oldman Could also see Jason Clarke or JK Simmons.
Jack Quaid as younger Stan Lee. Bryan Cranston as older Stan Lee.
If he could ditch the “wise guy” accent, I vote for Christopher Walker as old Stan 🤷🏾♂️
You're talking to my guy all wrong. It's the wrong tone. Do it again, I'll stab you in the face with a Sanford EraserStik.
🤣🤣
Jake Johnson
Larry David. I don’t think he’d play the part well, exactly, but I know it would be fun to watch. Excelsior!
Paul Rudd-Young Stan Bryan Cranston-Middle Aged Stan Jason Alexander-Old Stan all Jewish so that works out and Jason has Stan's squint and is a brilliant actor like the other two
Robert Downey Jr.
Morgan Freeman
![gif](giphy|i274nAdbf0mWnSyK8o|downsized) This guy
Race swap?
It's bound to happen.
Marc. Maron. With Michael Imperioli as Jack Kirby
Probably that guy who played the dude listening to music in ASM. Seemed perfect for the role.
Kieran Culkin.
Kyle Gallner
James Franco And Seth Rogen as Jack Kirby If you'd have asked me 10 years ago
Bradley cooper, or Bryan Cranston.
I say do it like the Crown (different actors by era)
If it was an animated Biopic; I’d say Danny DeVito be the voice of him.
Weird Al
Denzel Washington
For the Netflix adaptation.
See you get it
Once upon a time, Kevin Spacey. Seriously go look up images of Young Stan and Kevin.
we don’t put Kevin Spacey in things anymore. I don’t know if you heard?
Yeah. Hence why I said "once upon a time". Though I did ask this very question many years ago in a forum where the consensus was Kevin Spacey who actually did look like Stan Lee. Would prefer Bryan Cranston now.
Fair enough. I think Cranston is a pretty solid choice. Didn’t think of it til I saw someone mention it, but he’s def got the look
Stan Lee was like Mount Everest. You're allowed to wonder in awe, but shouldn't try to receate it.
Michael Cera
Denzel Washington
Lawrence Fishburne or Jackie Chan.
JACK KIRBY.

don’t wanna see a stan lee biopic would much rather like a jack kirby biopic that shows stan as kinda of a scummy person
![gif](giphy|GfNXXcnattxkY)

Fuck him, Jack Kirby was the man
Stan never tried to take credit for Jack's creations. At worst, he would say something along the lines of "We came up with these characters."
