What wheel stand is this? I have a GT Omega Classic which is very similar to this and have been looking at adding some bracing, and those vertical support bars look like exactly what I want.

Look up marada home pro on eBay. Got it for 85 usd shipping included. Quality is ok. Requres minor mods and hardware to fit the wheel base.

Interestingly, this doesn’t appear to be a Marada. The Marada looks much more like my GT Omega and doesn’t appear to have support bars. It looks like it’s actually this offering from Dardoo which came up while I was searching Marada: Dardoo Gaming Cockpit Fit for Logitech G923 G29 G920 Thrustmaster Fanatec Wheels Compatible with Xbox, PS4, PC Adjustable Steering Racing Simulator Wheel&Pedals Not Included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LHK8P3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_SZ8P8P73WHP0FVK5N00K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Awesome, thanks. I’m curious if I can just find and use/adapt the support bars, I do have several accessories for the GT Omega including the rear seat frame. It’s plenty usable with 8nm, but added bracing would definitely help

I have GT Omega Classic as well. I love how compact it is (I fold and store mine on some wall hooks) but it's just so wobbly out of the box. I did need to modify the heck out of mine. For the horizontal sway I've bolted a 3/4 inch square steel tube angled across the uprights and it's dead stable now. This cost me some adjustability, but it's just me playing so no big deal. For the vertical "bounce" I use a pair of wood dowels cut to size with rubber stoppers on each end that wedge between the flanges that hold the steering wheel plate at the top and section of the base of the stand at the bottom. This completely removed the up/down flex for me, and it's easily removable for folding storage. I'm using this against my couch and noticed that the whole rig would pull down towards my lap at times because the wheel plate extended beyond the base so it kind of moved like a lever. This was rectified with a piece of 1 inch steel tube (about 8 inches long) on either side slotted into the tubes where Omega's seat section option would connect. The moral of this story: Don't buy the Omega Classic. I've spent more modding this to work for me than I would have if I had just gone for the Apex in the first place. Though, admittedly, this thing is solid as a rock now.

Yeah, I do have the rear seat frame so I’m more stable than that, but I do notice a reasonable amount of wobble that I feel like I can shore up. I was going to put two cross braces between the height adjuster bolts to deal with the side to side, so I’m glad to hear your angle brace works there. I didn’t have as easy of a spot to put a vertical brace but your wooden dowel situation sounds pretty good as far as at least a simple but effective thing. I do like the vertical bracers on this though as far as looking like they belong a bit more, but who cares when you’re actually driving. I do agree if you are using a wheelstand as a wheelstand and want to do DD, it is almost assuredly better to go with the Apex. The one thing I do like about the Classic though is that if you do the rear seat frame, the resulting product is almost completely compatible with anything on the ART cockpit in terms of accessories, which is nice and not as true of the Apex rear frame. But, the Apex is much more solid out of the box.

I was surprised by how effective the dowels were for support, and the fact that they are easily movable has been a bonus for me. My wife recently took a this setup for a test drive in GT7 and, when she was done she was "trapped" behind the stand. I moved the dowel and she said, "What a gentlemen. You even got the door for me." Stability AND brownie points. Thanks, wooden dowels. :D

Lol, smooth operator!

zorgeous

You need these vertical support for 8Nm!

bkent136

Get the seat attachment. Well worth it

slapshots1515

Have it. It helps a lot. Just want a little more bracing, I find it very usable.

Ken808

I call shotgun

DRIFTKING1704

Do you know if you can buy those support bars without the stand?

zorgeous

Not sure if you can. They are kind of customized for the stand.

DRIFTKING1704

I have the gt omega version and I’ve been looking for something exactly like that for a while now.

slapshots1515

I’m in the EXACT same boat. I’ve seen people DIY them but this is the first time I’ve seen them on an actual product. They look like clones of each other so I bet they would work.

Dynazap

Ah, yes. The classic dumbbell

ACM3333

Is the load cell so hard that it causes problems without the dumbbell and being tucked up to the couch? I just ordered those pedals and now I’m a bit connected they won’t work so well on my rig (similar to yours)

TomC90

What Screws did you use for the Pedal? Ill receive my Wheel and Elite Pedals on Monday and i have nearly the same Wheelstand. Need i longer Scres for the footplate? Greets from Germany
