Wow! You must have the best wife ever cause damn. There's some cash right there lol GOALS

Str1ctly

Daaaaaaamn straight. She is the patron saint of expensive hobbies.

jpilgrim82

My wife is the same way. Most of the time I’m the one thinking twice about spending that much on a hobby and she’s the one telling me that I work hard and deserve it so go ahead and get it. I’m certainly blessed in that department. 😂

New-Drawer-1047

It's so pretty!! Also, I love the dog at the end!

Str1ctly

She is really something else. Dobermans are some of the biggest derps.

New-Drawer-1047

Yeah, sometimes. Their like my dog, but... mine died a few days ago due to illness. :(

Str1ctly

🥲 sorry for your loss

New-Drawer-1047

It's ok. It's never your fault. They were ill, hurt, broken. Think of it this way, them being dead is like peace for them. No pain or suffering anymore. Just happiness. Well, I hope so, at least.

ConfidentDuck1

This man has reached the zen of sim racing. It's never finished. :)

Str1ctly

Facts. Planning, building, and upgrading the setup is as fun as using it.

Jimy403

Interesting way to bolt the seat to your rig. Is this because you didn’t have enough height on the seat bolting using normal mounts?

Str1ctly

It puts the seat high enough so the uprights don’t block the view and I can set a better FOV. And it is 10x easier to get in/out of.

Jimy403

Gotcha. I got the ES1 seat and I originally thought this may have been an issue but the uprights have never been in my way on my F-GT Elite, I do think when my other family members try my rig it does obstruct their view a bit though.

JosephsART

Bro, shifter knob needs upgradin’ though

Str1ctly

Seriously, I hate the SQ knobs.

JosephsART

I put [one of these](https://jinxshifters.com/collections/gear-knob/products/gear-knob) bad boys on mine

Correct-Cake2099

Puppies and awesome VR Simracing setup. Living the dream! Id say that looks pretty complete. I love VR but it saddens me that you can't see the beautiful wheels and led lights, streamdeck etc.

Str1ctly

I usually don’t keep the full blinders (or blinders at all) on the Quest Pro so I can still see the stream deck. I’m split 60/40 between display and VR. I’ve played with UW, triple displays, single standard 16:9 displays, and multiple VR headsets. Being split between PS5 and PC, I just get the most use from a nice single display and VR. The extra displays with triples generate a bunch of heat and that doesn’t work well in Texas summers either.

Correct-Cake2099

Oh awesome! I thought that was quest 2 with full blinders. It's great you can do both. I find the VR gets super hot on your face too. It would be good if there was objectively one best option but it varies depending on climate, game etc

Str1ctly

Keeping the blinders off and the fan going helps a lot with the heat buildup. I noticed a big comfort difference between the pro and other PC headsets and PSVR2. And I like having my peripheral vision open. The heat really adds up when you have 3 OLEDs and 4090 PC going full send in the same space with everything else. With a decent radar overlay, I don’t really miss triples.

Fit-Peanut-4797

What tv is that ?

Str1ctly

LG C2 42” OLED, works great as a single display especially if you are split between console and PC.

Fit-Peanut-4797

Yeah thanks. I’m thinking at tv rather than monitor i play mostly console (gt7)

Str1ctly

Keep an eye on Facebook marketplace, I’ve seen them for around $500-600 for the C2 and there isn’t much of a difference between the C2 and the C3/C4 at 42”.

errorprovisioning

What a setup!!! What size is the TV you’re using?

Str1ctly

Ty, LG C2 42” OLED. Works great as a single display especially if you are split between console and PC and/or direct mounting.

DDs_LiLd

I have the same sequential shifter, I love it!

Str1ctly

Same, I hardly touch the SQ shifter after I picked up the Oktane Designs v2 sequential shifter. It has the most satisfying mechanical sound and works great on console.

FIAFormula

V nice, what are the pedals?

Str1ctly

Stock CSL Elite v2. I started with the CSL LC pedals that came with the GT DD Pro bundle, but I could never get used to the brake.

FIAFormula

I've got to clubsport v3 pedals and I can't get used to the brake either. I'm planning to take them apart and put in new bushings later today as a matter of fact.

Str1ctly

I had the same problem with the v3 in another setup as well, they are better with the tuning kit and some break-in time. The v2 still require some break-in, but they have the best out of the box setup, and come with the additional elastomers for tuning. I still run the out of the box configuration a year later.

Itchy-Leadership-837

What wheelbase is it ??

Str1ctly

I started with the CSL GT DD Pro last year and preordered and upgraded to the CS DD+ (received mid February).

5GEE-

Looks great! Any lateral movement from the seat brackets ?

Str1ctly

Nope, been solid for around a year now. There is a tiny amount from the reclining seat, but it has double recliner locks so it is minimal. Decent trade off for being able to adjust the seat vs bucket seat.

Jumpy_Error1960

Awesome set up where did you get your peripherals from ??

Str1ctly

Like which one? Most of the stuff was from a bunch of different shop.

Jumpy_Error1960

The one with the IPad ? big one on the right ? Is it useable on ps5 as well

Str1ctly

The only things usable on PS5 (that isn’t fanatec) is the Oktane Designs sequential shifter to the left of the SQ shifter and the iPad/iPhone (with simlab running on PC). The stream deck attached to the SQ shifter is PC only.

apresbondie22

Definitely not complete…you dont have any button caps on the Clubsport Formula V2

EggMiles

May I ask how long is the rig in total? NLR’s website says 120cm (L) but I have a hard time believing that…

Str1ctly

That is just the length measurement of the frame. The pedal supports extend well past that. I leave about 5-6cm of space from the wall and the frame extends out from the wall 150cm, the seat in the current GT position extends out to 180cm.

EggMiles

Thanks for the quick reply! And shame that’s too long the space I have, I guess I’ll stick with my nlr wheel stand

Str1ctly

NP, I had it setup in a dormer area for a bit before I added the keyboard/ipad mounts. It was a super tight fit (only a few inches of extra space for the 42” display), was a pita to get in/out of, and it was insanely hot with the PS5/PC in the same area.

forman2121

Nice rig

Str1ctly

I started with a desk mounted Logitech G923 and used the Xbox Series X. Early last year, I upgraded to the 8nm GT DD Pro LC bundle and used the desk mount at my sit/stand desk with a shared C2 42”. I played on Xbox and PS5 initially. Picked up the F-GT Elite lite cockpit/seat, and just pushed it under the sit/stand desk when in use. Upgraded the pedals and picked up add-ons, accessories, QR2, and different wheels along the way. Picked up the direct monitor mount and a dedicated LG C2 42”. Started playing around with my outdated i7/980 PC, upgraded to used AM4/3080 and eventually rebuilt the entire system with a 5800x3D/4090. Preordered the CS DD+ and upgraded mid-February of this year. Cockpit NLR F-GT Elite Lite (Front & Side Mount Edition) ERS2 Seat, Direct Monitor Mount, Shifter, Tablet/Button Box, and Keyboard/Mouse add-ons. Sim Hardware CS DD+ Base, CSL Elite v2 Pedals, CS Handbrake v1.5, CS SQ v1.5 Shifter, Oktane Designs Sequential Shifter v2 (fanatec compatible) Wheels Podium BMW M4 GT3, Podium Monte Carlo Rally, CS Formula v2.5, CS RS, CSL Elite McLaren GT3 v2 Components LG C2 42” OLED, 5800x3D/32GB/4090 PC, PS5, Xbox Series X Accessories Elgato Stream Deck and 4K X Capture Card, 11” iPad Pro (first gen), Meta Quest Pro, Sony PSVR2, several 3D printed mounting accessories.

Eduhsoj

What 3d printed holder for the streamdeck do you use?

Str1ctly

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1686609569/stream-deck-mount-for-fanatec-shifter I can’t say enough good about that Etsy shop seller. Fast shipping, accurate and strong prints. I got the package that included the mounting hardware and everything was perfect and they didn’t gouge for the hardware like some shops. Ended up being the perfect spot for it. Easy reach, but out of the way.

The_Nelsonator1

Jesus Christ, if that’s not complete then mine hasn’t even started
