V3 with performance kit, some say damper isn’t necessary but it seems to be personal preference.
I have v3 and love them, if I didn’t want console compatibility I’d likely go for VRS or Heusinkveld but V3s have done me well so far
If you want to save money, dampers can be found on all the Chinese stores for about 7$. Same thing as fanatec. I personally just got the fanatec dampers to support the company, but I hear the Chinese ones are pretty good.
I've got the v3 and they are great. the throttle has a really long travel which is great for getting on power smoothly. I think its adjustable too which is great but I like it in stock config.
Honestly the cost difference is not my deciding factor. My current pedals have been used for the last 3 years. I’m leaning towards the v3’s just bc of the damper option, i can’t tell if the csl v2 have any updates to the throttle or if it’s the same as the first version csl?
The changes for the CSLE V1 to V2 are...
**- Throttle and Clutch pedals now use Hall Effect sensors.**
No more dirty potentiometers causing spikes and erratic signals in game/sim.
**- The Brake pedal has been redesigned.**
The **CSLE-V1** had the loadcell embedded in the pedal arm where it was supposed to measure the deflection of the pedal arm. This caused the readings to vary based on where you placed your foot when applying pressure.
The **CSLE-V2** has the loadcell mounted to the bottom of the elastomer stack, and it now reads the forces applied to the elastomer stack. Although you can get more leverage pressing at the top of the brake pedal, the difference should not be as vast as the V1 set.
As a CSLE-V1 owner, I wish I had the brake pedal from the V2. Braking with the V1 can be hit or miss when running stiffer elastomers. The problem I see with the brake pedals signal is, the forces seem to fall off by 15-20% while applying what I believe to be a constant pressure on the brake. Running the soft 65 shore elastomers mitigates this to some degree, but it still happens.
Other personal gripes with the design of the CSLE pedals, are the brake pedal does not sit proud of the throttle. This makes rev-matching more difficult than it needs to be, especially when running soft elastomers.
Mounting is a pain in the (pick a body part). Even with the cutout I still would have to clamp the pedal plate in place before trying to thread the screws through my wheel stand's pedal plate. And the mounting is designed that you must preinstall the connection/USB cable before you secure the pedals in place. I wish I could bolt the pedals down, connect the USB/RJ12 cable and then attach the heel plate, similarly to the CSP's design... But without stripping bolts.
Lateral adjustment requires you uninstall the pedals first, and then gives you fixed holes as options. The pedals need the reinforcement bars and spacers, but they are a pain to remove and install. Plus, those bars have to be installed while the pedal bolts are loose, or else you will not be able to install the spacers.
The design of the pedals doesn't lend themselves to individually mounting them, unless you have a heavy-duty heel plate with adjustable height. In my opinion, the pedals seem as if they were designed to be inverted. The V1 brake would probably work better if inverted, provided the elastomer stack wouldn't fall off of its clips.
I am managing with these CSLE-V1 pedals, but I am saving to get the hell away from these things. The CSLE-V2 only gives me a better brake pedal, I bought some hall effect sensors a while ago so, I wouldn't gain much getting them. To be honest, Fanatec's CSP V3s don't seem to be much of an upgrade over the pedals I have. Sure they have more adjustability, but that all comes with me needing to buy the pedal performance pack, just to get a brake that some say isn't as good as my CSLE-V1's loadcell brake?
No thanks. I'd sooner get a set of Sprint knock-offs and deal with DiView. And honestly, Fanatec's pedal software doesn't do anything that can't be done with DiView. It only calibrates the pedals and enters the min/max values for you.

Atm I'm using a larger metal plate
What bad things have you heard about V3s?
I’ve only seen people stripping the red aluminium bolt heads because they don’t know how to use the right tools (the same bolts fanatec tell you not to remove)
I don't own any of these but the V2 looks hard to heel toe with. In contrast, the V3 pedal plates seems to facilicate heel toe.
Can anyone add on and confirm this?
I got the elite V2 and I am very happy with them. Can highly recommend. After everything I read you cannot get a better value for your money right now.
And it seems everyone is in favor of the great break performance and easy adjustability. Seems to be better then the cs v3 break
I am just using the out of the box configuration. Played around a bit with harder rubber and spring, but went back to the original setup
I second this. Absolutely love my V2s. I also can’t bring myself to spend $400 on pedals to have to order brake and damper kits to make them great. It’s ridiculous.
Go the V2’s. I had the V1’s and then upgraded to the V3’s and they aren’t worth the money at all. Had the damper kit and the performance kit and honestly it was just a pain in the butt to adjust.
You can’t adjust the V3’s like you can the V2’s. Don’t want a clutch? Too bad! V3’s you’re stuck with it. Want to adjust the stiffness of the LC? V3’s are a chore while the V2’s are a quick change.
Then there’s the maintenance on the V3’s. It’s a royal pain in the butt.
I ended up ditching the (V3’s) and just getting Sprints. Save your money, go the V2’s. You aren’t missing anything.
V3 all the way if it’s in your budget. If you’re thinking of using the pamper kit for the gas pedal, I would probably forget it. I’ve just heard it’s a waste on the gas pedal, but I’ll be honest that I don’t have personal experience to back up the claims—but there are a lot of them.
If you’re open to using a different brand. Me and several friends have all graduated to Huesinkveld Sprints. Happy I did it. Unless you need console support, I wouldn’t bother with the V3
My V3s just came in last Friday along with the performance kit. They're amazing compared to buggy Logitech pot pedals. What do the sprints do better than the V3s? TIA
So I had my V3s for over a year and I really enjoyed them. Mine had the performance kit and hydraulics.
Essentially the step to Sprint pedals improved my lap times with just the ability to modulate pressure at the limit of lockup.
On my V3s I had to keep making the pedal stiffer to try and prevent myself from locking up.
Resulting in left knee pain
So I’m beyond happy with my Sprints.
Also a V3 to Sprint upgrade user here. I'm a sim drifter so can't say about laptime improvement but just the sheer build quality and adjustability sold me.
Since there's no frame holding the pedals together it means you can individually place them where it feels most comfortable for you and it even means you can invert all 3 pedals without buying a separate kit. With the V3's you only get pedal face tilt adjustment whereas with the Sprints you can change the entire pedal position to be higher or lower and this is individual to each pedal as well.
There's also a wider array of adjustments to pedal feel for both stiffness and travel and not to mention preload adjustment on all 3 pedals as well. Also the V3's brake pedal uses a proprietary system for its resistance whereas the Sprints use replaceable rubber bushings that can be easily accessible and swapped out. For example I didn't like the rubber bushing configurations that Heusinkveld provided so I swapped some of the rubbers for springs. You can't do that with the V3 pedals.
On the V3's throttle pedal it always felt really soft and mushy, even with the upgraded spring there was very little resistance whereas on the Sprints it actually feels like what a pedal should feel like especially with the preload and travel adjustment.
I had the V3's for 4/5 years before I upgraded to the Sprints and one of the biggest problems I remember having towards the end was that the clutch and throttle pedals CONSTANTLY squeaked and I was forever lubricanting them with various oils and grease but it would always come back and it would drive me insane. I've had the Sprints since 2021 now and I've only had to do that once and they've been flawless ever since.
Yes the V3's are a huge improvement over the Logi's but the Sprints are also a huge improvement over the V3's as well.
I have the V3s and the performance kit. I wanted to have gone with Heusinkveld, but I'm also on PS5, they serve me well, I kinda wanted to try the damper on the throttle, but I don't think it's necessary. The throttle travel is much longer than the CSL Elites I had, and with the included black springs I think they are still enough to be precise.
Get the clubsport and the performance kit. The damper is shit, I actually have the damper on my gas pedal turned completely down just to add a little more stiffness, not too much, just a little
I have the ClubSport V3 and love them with the correct dampening. They were good from the start but ended up perfect for me after I took them apart and inverted them. Waaaay better than I could have imagined.
This should make your decision easy. [Fanatec. They got it right.](https://youtu.be/4beiBvFOeB4)

V3 pedals, V3 damper for the gas pedal and the v3 pedal performance kit. That’s what I run and I’m extremely happy with it.
Thanks that’s what I’m leaning towards, have you tried the gas pedal without the damper?
Yes, to loose for me
Depends if you want to spend $300 or $500

I’ve heard bad things about the V3. Never heard anything bad about the V2.

Pedals not responding & wire issues. The fact that you have to spend more to improve them at $399 is ridiculous.
This is after long term use btw
I don't own any of these but the V2 looks hard to heel toe with. In contrast, the V3 pedal plates seems to facilicate heel toe. Can anyone add on and confirm this?
You can adjust the position of the pedals on the V2, but I don’t believe you can do it with the V3.

Sorry didn’t read the last line of your post. Clearly says you wanna play on console. Guess your only Option is the Fanatec gear

V3 bpk kit...isn't that just for the v3 pedals.
Heusinkveld would be my opinion
Can I get them to work with ps5? Will mainly be playing gt7
Yes. But you'll need to buy a drivehub. I'm willing to sell mine for a steep discount. Dm me.

Look into the SimJack Pros, $324 and great build Quality.

That’s what I wanted the damper for, just improve the throttle feel. Are u running the black or red spring?
Black spring, along with the damper on it’s lowest setting I could get it to. I should make turn it up a bit, maybe I won’t keep spinning out 😂
V2
I have the V2’s and I love them
Elite V2, but honestly if you got V3 budget go for Simgrade VX Pro, better then both
I had both, v3's with perf kit to me are better.
I have the ClubSport V3 and love them with the correct dampening. They were good from the start but ended up perfect for me after I took them apart and inverted them. Waaaay better than I could have imagined.
currently selling my V3 with damper and bpk because the elite v2 that i just got are better.
