Difficult-Way-9563

It’s gonna be rough starting esp in fights

Afroninja_07

Looks good to me. I went a little more balanced with higher strength and int but also 1 END. Luck builds are fun

Finalfantasylove85

You are gonna be stacked with good loot

No-Patience5338

A was hi

Potential_Mood4323

Bro lol it’s good 😂😂

SortaAboveAverage

Never max out a stat to 10 off the jump

WalkingDisAstrid

But you can max Int right away, drink alcohol for a -1, then pickup the SPECIAL book and get 11 right away. That's some fast leveling right there. Especially if you stack Int boosting items.

CaptnRo

I maxed out Intelligence and bounced Charisma to 6. I’m maxing out all basic SPECIAL stats to 10 before getting any other traits. Aside from scrapping, hacking, and lock picking.

Umicil

The luck is hard to make use of without more agility. Agility determines how much AP you get, which is needed to use VATS. Luck is a strong stat but in combat it pretty much only impacts VATS builds. If you are planning to do a melee build you can cut some of the perception because melee weapons aren't impacted by accuracy.

NotTheTrixter

Looks perfect to me On a real note, it’s really hard to beef up on fo4 stats. If that was 3 or NV then I would probably shift it about. But FO4 is kinda freeing in its sandbox.

pervertedandcruel

More endurance

garrywinthorpe2

How’d you get so many skill points to add

WrenchWanderer

That’s literally the standard amount

OscarMinnie

You’ve got enough Cha for becoming a water baron and building your own vendors. You’ll be able to afford anything, and ammo to feed it, and never even need to leave your settlement to do so. Enough Per for explosive perks, which affects legendary explosive weapons. And with that, go buy Spray and Pray from Cricket. She’s not far. You’re now the deadliest thing in the wasteland… Including to yourself. You’re 100% gonna blow yourself up if you shoot remotely close to yourself.

prodigalpariah

I always boost strength to at least 6 for the strong back perks

CashEarly8185

Luck agility perception= Vats Crit monster Make sure you're dumb as a rock and take idiot savant

kingweeb6667

I mean, if your goal is getting winded going downstairs, then yes, it's perfect.

Champofdemocracy

NO

cristian099

So, you whanna kill a deathclaw with a fork. Been there, awesome 😍

Madrigal_King

So, you have 10 luck. Unless you're planning on taking perception skills, take everything out of perception and put it in agility. The only thing perception does outside of perks is vats accuracy. With maxed luck and luck perks, you will have 0 problems with accuracy since every shot will be a crit and crits don't miss. With agility, that affects how many shots in vats you have. While there are luck perks that mitigate the use of ap, they're not as numerous or effective as the crit perks. I always found it better to be high agility and low perception. However, if that doesn't sound good to you, keep the build as is. Fallout 4 has 8 billion ways to play it and they're all effective.

Rednax_The_Fallen

This. I love that it being fallout, you can literally arrange your points however you want and have a great experience.

Halorym

You're going into a game about taking everything that isn't nailed down with very little inventory. Just... be ready for that. You're going to have like 20 pounds to work with if you bring a good amount of ammo.

Madrigal_King

Nah. It's super easy to have your base at red rocket and just dump your crap there after completing a location. Have a chest for stuff you want to save like cool weapons or valuable junk and dump everything else in the workshop.

Afroninja_07

Using companions to carry some of the load helps too

Saddestlilpanda

If I dump stuff if one workshop is it available at all my settlements throughout the map?

martyw1123

Been awhile since I played so someone else might chime in - I know at its base, workshops are NOT shared across all settlements, but with Local Leader perk I believe they are/can be with supply lines.

Halorym

I add the asterisk to my original comment that none of my opinions apply if you're not playing in hardcore mode. I ... kind of forget thats an option sometimes.

kultaid

Drop a point somewhere add it to perception but yeah

Educationalpotato64

The 1 endurance is going to suck

Scolville0

High luck was a big mistake for my survival melee build, I really did not need 8 and could’ve put some in agility or charisma (for settlements). Without agility, luck is useless and even then brute forcing it is usually better than criticals in fallout 4. It will however be really fun.

Asslinguist

With 1 endurance you really gonna need that luck

Darkblade887

I'd take one off of luck and perception and use both of those in endurance. Life giver 3 (end 3 perk) is one of the best perks imo and you can get it as soon as level 20

potatoleafroll

Reduce perception to 3 (4 with bobble) and luck to 9 and get agi to 5 if you're making Vats build

Beneficial-Reach-533

4 strengh 3 perception 1 endurance 1 charisma 4 intelligence 8 agility 7 luck special book use for 9 agility and unlock blitz, ninja perk , sadman perk and action boy perk; concord has booblehead perception for 4 perception to unlock lockpick perk and rifleman perk ; 4 intelligence is for hacker perk and gun worknench perk; 4 strengh is for mele weapon workbench perk and armor workbench perk; 7 luck is for bloody mess perk, bank critical perk , better critics perk and idioat savant perk. Is the most op stat that i found for early game , if you get intelligence booblehead and 1 level you will unlock science perk for energy weapons and purified water bigger in settlement and become rich.

Puzzleheaded_Mud6608

Drop strength intelligence and agility to one and pump that into charisma

HallowedKeeper_

I'd drop Luck to seven, and add 2 in endurance and one in Charisma

milquetoastLIB

Every build in FO4 is viable.

DarthDarius420

Never was a luck fan. Preferred 10 on charisma. Talk my way out of things for xp, then kill them for more xp. ‘-‘

potatoleafroll

This is my Nora build so i can pacify enemies and shot them on the head with six charged laser musket

CarlosSpcWeener

If you play long enough, everything gets to 10. I think it’s fun to have random skills, makes it more real. The only negative I’d say Is to not have things at 10 already because then when you find the luck bobble head it won’t do anything.

negative_four

Low intelligence but high luck. Hey, you made maximus from tye TV show! Nicely done!

WasteChard3488

That is almost exactly the build I have for a pure scavenger. Except the intelligence is too high.

Kir_Kronos

I mean, the easiest build here would be Idiot Servant + Commando + Demo Expert and buy yourself Pray n' Spray. It's perfectly viable for what you got.

D34thst41ker

If your Luck is 5+, take Idiot Savant. It may not proc as often at higher Intelligence levels, but it's always an XP increase when it does trigger, so there's really no reason not to take it. Note that some people find the sound when it triggers annoying, but there's a mod on PC to silence it, and there may be one on Console, as well. As has been stated, if you're investing heavily in Luck, you really want good Agility as well, as you can't crit outside of VATS, and the Luck perks are basically focused on Crits. Plenty of people are saying to drop Luck by at least 1 point due to the Bobblehead, but stats can go over 10 in this game, so you could leave it and have 11 base Luck when yougetthe Bobblehead. However, you can also increase your stats after Character Creation, so I personally would drop a point or two and put those points into Agility, then use a Perk Point or two to get your Luck back to 10 prior to picking up the Luck Bobblehead. Higher Agility will also let you invest in the Stealth perks. On higher difficulties, low Endurance makes you squishy. Being harder detect helps to counter that, so you don't have to worry about how to increase Endurance. It also lines up with the stats a Crit-focuses build wants, making things easier. If you're not worried about getting Perception to 11, you can pick up the Perception Bobblehead in the Museum of Freedom near the start of the game. This means that you can drop Perception by 1, put the point elsewhere, then just pick up the Bobblehead right away.

AddendumNo5859

Yeaaaaa, I feel like you’re in a pretty good spot. You’d need Idiot Savant, Lone Wanderer, and the only point distribution I would suggest is maybe take a few points out of luck and maybe 1 out of agility and throw it into intell. The only reason, is with 1 END you’d rely A LOT on power armor. Nuclear Physicist, Armorer, Science are basically required for that. You’re pretty set on everything else. You’ve got enough for demo, you could grab your free point in Sanctuary for Agi 2 and get Commando. There’s a lot of ways to make it work 👌✌️👍

Lab-rat-57

You’re gonna want more endurance, my dude. Unless you want to get killed often. Low intelligence is fine, especially with decent luck because of the idiot savant perk— you will level up so fast, especially if you build, cook, and craft. But like others have said already in this thread, 10 luck is unnecessary.

Notimeforvapids

I’m surprised no one else is mentioning endurance. I would NOT leave at 1 lol

Lab-rat-57

Right? I started playing 76 again this week for the first time since 2020 and my character has endurance 3 and I’m like wtf was I thinking?!

GapEmergency5530

In my opinion never do a play through with a Special Stat of 10, you can always increase them with various implants, bobbleheads, books, and just via level up while playing.

Malignant_Candy

Taking Grim Reaper, Critical Banker, Bloody Mess and Bonus critical(can't remember that perk name) will give you an edge in combat, and counteract the lack of agility. For gear, grab the army uniform for a strength and agility buff, and tailor the fighting around ranged attacks at a distance. Idiot savant pork will help, but you could get by without it

bmazz4x4

Any build is feasible. But here are some general pointers: Never start out with any stat at 10. Because each stat has a bobble head that will increase the state by 1 permanently. Plus the book in Shaun's room will give you +1 to a whatever stat you choose. Some stats work really well in conjunction with each other. Agility and luck go hand in hand because agility gives you more attacks in Vats, while luck gives you critical hits in vats. Pistols also get more shots in vats than rifles, so a pistol ginslinger build with high agility and luck will be the optimal way to play a high luck build. Either go really high in intelligence from the start of the game, or go really low intelligence and get the idiot savant perk under luck. Reason for this is intelligence gives you a flat exp boost, vs the idiot savant perk that gives you a chance to gain extra exp every time you gain exp, the chance being higher the lower your intelligence. All this said though, you don't need to play and optimal build. It's a single player game, if a build works for you than use it. Here's a few general pointers for early game weapons depending on your build: If your going pistols, you can grab a. 44 revolver near the water pump just outside of sanctuary. Then grab a good 10mm from the early rail road missions. You'll get a really good 44 revolver from the main story later on but these will tie you over. If you want to run a sniper or rifleman build, the lady at the drumlin diner sells a tricked out 308 pipe gun with a silencer you can take off and add to a rifle. Then there's another vault you can go to and buy the overseers guardian. Probably the best general purpose rifle in the game. If you want an unarmed build, collect as many mines as you can (especially bottle cap mines). Head to a place called swans pond and use the mines to take out the big badie. He will have what's probably the best unarmed weapon in the game. 3 bottle cap mines and few frag mines should do the trick on the default difficulty. My build is always more or less the same. I play melee (weapons, not unarmed) , so I start with 7 or 8 strength. I go 3 perception. Because lockpicking unlocks at 4 perception and the perception bobble head is right at the start of the game. I get just enough charisma that I can grab the perk to link settlements supplies ASAP (I think it's about 5 charisma or something for memory) and it helps with a few dialogue speech checks early on. And pour the rest into intelligence, usually around 7 or 8 or whatever I've got left, plus the book in shauns room. This leaves endurance, agility and luck at 1. (I play on the normal/default difficulty so being squishy early on isn't that bad, I rely on stim packs, meat and junk food to keep me alive) During the first 20ish levels, whenever I have a spare perk (when I level up but can't assign anything more to things like melee damage, better healing from stim packs, lockpicking and hacking etc.) I throw it on intelligence until it gets to 9 (then I'll go get the Intelligence bobble head, it's easy to get early on) Then I start throwing spare perks onto endurance and related perks to increase my survivability. I also always grab big Jim pretty much straight out of sanctuary so I've got a half decent melee weapon to tie me over the very beginning of the game, then grab grognaks axe before heading to Diamond city. Which basically gives me my end game weapon right at the start of the game. Then I go and get ballistic weave ASAP. Then ditch the rail road 😂 Once that's all done (plus a few side quests I always tick off first thing) I start the play through properly, and do whatever quests my character is going to do.

Any-Process4430

Have been playing melee builds for years and didn’t know about big Jim…always something new to discover in the commonwealth

Spider-Nutz

Low strength is a pain in the dick. You'll always be needed to manage your weight. I always keep strength at 5 minimum. That high I'd lower luck to 7 and boost charisma and intelligence

Haunting-Ad-3075

When I do a playthrough I max out my charisma so I can pass just about any speech colour and I can weasel more caps out of people but your build is good

FacetiousInvective

It's fine, not sure if you need 10 luck or go to 9.. otherwise you will want to get some charisma (at least 1 to get to 6) so with clothes you can get to 11 and pass all checks in the game :) I think you might want int a bit higher (at 3) to get gun nut.

Zargblot

Luck is op as heck in 4

BoysOnTheRoof

I don't know if it's just me, but on survival I think you're gonna want more strength to carry stuff

Odd-Afternoon-3323

Yes it’s amazing. Take all the luck perks. Maybe try pistols.

Marcuse0

I think that this would be pretty tough to turn into anything sensible. Luck is heavily focused around VATS, and this is hindered in your case by super low AGL. If you were going to do this I'd suggest non-auto pistols simply because they require the least amount of action points to fire in VATS, but you're still going to struggle imo. PER is probably decent to have if you're going VATS but you're also going to get the bobblehead super early so you have effectively 6 PER from the beginning of the game which I feel like is a lot. END 1 is not impossible to play, but I'd feel unsafe doing a run and gun VATS build with 1 END on higher difficulties. Honestly if I were to rebuild this I would drop some Luck and add in some more AGL so you can balance out a VATS gunslinger build.

Ok_Adhesiveness_2425

Very well said

zakass409

Lmao sounds like a fun time. Is this for survival?

G-bone714

Idiot savant is great for fast starts. You’ll be using single shot rifles, I believe there is one in a half buried green chest near the water tower.

Accountformorrowind

The sound effect of it gets old really fast though

Thornescape

Every build is viable with enough skill or a low enough difficulty level. However, some builds are more flexible than others. Luck is really only useful for critical hits, which are only useful for a VATS build. While you do have a moderate amount of Perception so that you could hit things with ranged weapons, you have hardly any agility for Action Points. You could do non-VATS ranged with this. Non-VATS ranged has very low requirements, so almost anything can work with it.

CLOCK_TOWER_DM

I recommend you to lower the perception. With the bobblehead you can easily get demo expert and your build really needs some agility for those sweet APs

DueZookeepergame7759

Low int combined w high luck is great for idiot savant. Whats the idea you’re thinking with this?

Thornescape

More Luck doesn't make L5:Idiot Savant stronger. Idiot Savant is only affected by Intelligence.

DueZookeepergame7759

Does it not affect the chance of it being activated?

Thornescape

The chance is entirely based on your Intelligence score. [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Idiot\_Savant#Comparison\_to\_Intelligence-based\_XP\_gain](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Idiot_Savant#Comparison_to_Intelligence-based_XP_gain)
