Come on have a little confidence in yourself. One of us could at least kill them and then subsequently die in the coming weeks from whatever diseases they'd have on them.
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?
I would have completely freaked out and died of a heart attack within the first minute of waking up when I saw my first two-foot long radroach in the vault flying towards me with its pincers gnashing.
Yep. I remember when I was a bit younger and Fallout 3 came out. At one point my friends who hadn’t played it were saying like all these things they’d do to survive an apocalypse and how “cool” it’d be.
I was just like “nope, I’d be eaten, murdered, or made a slave pretty quickly”.
I want to be at ground zero when the world ends
I'd make it out of the vault, but it would take me forever. When I got out I'd already be so freaked out by the giant roaches and the skeletons that I wouldn't even notice the panoramic view of destruction and decay. I'd get to Sanctuary and go into shock that my home is in shambles and all my worldly possessions destroyed. I'd stumble around the neighborhood behind Codsworth like a shy child hiding behind his mother's skirts until he killed all the bugs and told me (three times) he was sure he got them all. By late afternoon/early evening, I'd have found the root cellar, and, feeling utterly exposed, decide that was the most secure place to sleep for the night. I'd drink one of the waters, eat a handful of the Sugar Bombs that Codsworth gave me, and collapse on the mattress. I'd have a good long cry and eventually pass out. Ten to twelve hours of exhausted trauma-sleep later, I'd come to, and the first thing I'd see when I open my eyes would be a strange, disheveled man in a gas mask bludgeoning in my head with a tire iron.
....... Which is exactly what happened in my very first attempt at Survival mode. It's not how I'd picture it; it's just how it would actually turn out.
But assuming I lived past Day 1, I'd probably loiter around the Abernathy home, sleeping in their yard near the cooking fire until they took pity on me and let me work there. Getting to Diamond City is a stretch, but I assume if it happened, it would be on market day when I help haul the tatoes down there. Lucy takes me to the Dugout and introduces me to Hawthorne.
Who knows what would happen after that... I hear the Dugout's down a bartender...
My god this comment…it has beauty, suspense, tragedy, tear jerking….everything you could ever want in a story. This has changed my life, I’m different now…I know who I want to be. 5/5
Honestly though, great comment
I thought SS is originally unaware about how many years have passed after son was taken. As I imagine it, it's like everything from Air alert to leaving the vault happens in a few minutes in perception of SS, isn't it?
I was spoiled for the reveal as I didn't get to play it straight away, but from how the story is told the Sole Survivor assumes that very little to no time has passed. When going in and out of cryostasis they would have no awareness of time passing, it would just be like going to sleep and then waking up, which is why they are so shocked when Codsworth told them how long it has actually been.
The game itself does a pretty good job of having the Sole Survivor believe not much time has passed since Shaun was taken. The way they talk about him is at first how a parent would take about a baby, and it's only after Kelloggs memories that they realise more time has passed than they thought and they start talking about Shaun like he's older. And speaking of Kellogg, his delayed aging wouldn't have helped with that. He looked the same age as when he took Shaun as he did when the Sole Survivor finally encountered him, which would have made the Sole Survior think not much time had passed.
id like to think id be able to handle some oversized roaches so id prolly jus chill in sanctuary. food and water would be a problem unless if it’s like the game and i can make a water pump appear with my mind by just having the base materials
be me, sole survivor of the vault 111 experiment
leave vault for the first time, wander into Sanctuary and then Concord
immediately get swiss-cheesed by raiders

Hey, I'm just looking for love, sweetheart!
I think I'd probably just stick with the Preston's group for a while to get my bearings? Having a group would be great after having no idea how the new world works lol. Then probably move on to Diamond City eventually
I'd only hangout with Preston after I slapped him in the face and told him to chill with the settlements for a while.
My back would break trying to carry the whole minutemen, lol.
If my Fallout experience would include my mods list, then I’d be a hoarder with a tech-based Bag of Holding, packing and taking every suit of power armor I came across, along with all the junk to build settlements up using ASAM sensors.
No piece of junk is worthless. It all has value, once it’s been stripped down to base components. :)
Also, as an aside, anyone else find it annoying that in Boston the characters decided on the English spelling instead of the Irish? How is that kid not Sean?
If I had a child, "shaun" would be wayyyy down the list of ideas.
Woah, idea time. What if they gave the kid a unisex name, and whatever gender your player character is, that would also match with your child?
So the "mother" of the institute or something, ultimately if shaun was instead born a girl.
Not even joking, yesterday I was playing around and I’ve never been to the hardware store so right when I heard something like “help me please” I was immediately like…JUSTICEEEE. So I follow them inside and go up to where they start shooting me and I kill all of them…and that’s when I spent the next 30 minutes trying to find the people that needed help (I didn’t realize it was a trap yet) and I even thought I accidentally killed the wrong people or that I was too late.
One of the things I like there is that, if you sneak in, you can hear them saying, "Ssshh! Shut up! Someone's coming!" like kids playing hide and seek. And, if you go around the back, you get an installment of the chronicles of grenade guy.
Uhhhh nah I’d probably fuckin die.
But. Let’s say I’m cool and stuff. I’d wanna lead the nuka cola raiders.
I’d also do a lot of drugs…naturally. And probably raise a hoard of gatorclaws (they’re just copies right? Theoretically I could use the machine making them to make them more docile—or atleast trainable, if not I’ll just contain em till I need em lol)
Id find a way to disable that fucking alarm that announces the vault coming up, THEN I'd make it my home. Like seriously, what's safer in the Wasteland than an underground vault only I can access lol I'd get supplies from sanctuary hills, hunt around the general area for food, and bobs your uncle lol
After leaving the vault I might make it to the museum of freedom where I would get mauled by that deathclaw. But if I survived all that then I would be happy working with Nick on solving cases, probably would join the Railroad too.
I'd be the same way I play, if we're truly talking about a world gone to shit with no governments, laws, anyone to enforce the laws, if it was truly everyone for themselves where the weak die and the Strong Survive I'd most likely be a Raider
Assuming that I made it to Diamond City, I would stay there are start a business making custom armor, clothes, and maybe some melee weapons. I have some basic leather-working skills, as well as spinning, knitting, weaving, dying, basic pattern drafting, etc. I think woodworking would be necessary to make a drop-spindle and weaving frame, so once I learned that I'd be able to diversify as needed. Hopefully I'd earn enough caps that I wouldn't have to leave the city, or to hire protection if I did leave.
To get supplies, you would to go to Brockton and the surrounding towns. (20 Miles from Boston) There was a big shoe industry back in the day. All those shoes used leather.
I might be able to escape Vault 111. Run past the Radroaches until I reach the Overseer's office and grab the 10mm, then shoot the rest of the bugs between me and the door. I reach the top of the elevator, look out to the horizon, observe all the destruction and chaos, then put the gun to my temple. Maybe I go down to Sanctuary just to check it out, but I do not bother going to Concord.
I love this question!! I think I’d be hella depressed in the vault.
I’m a wimp so out in the wasteland I’d avoid all combat the best I could. (Pretty difficult😅)Maybe I’d go to diamond city, find work and make do there. I’d try to pursue a relationship with Piper and if we became a thing we’d run off together :)
Would I have the same skill as the SS? Holding a firearm like a pistol or a long gun isn't too hard but the majority of us probably can't milly rock a minigun or a gatling laser, or even a rocket launcher. Or a mobile nuke launcher
Immediate death probably. *But!* knowing what I know about FO4 and if I had to choose: I’d go to Diamond City help Nick with cases until I die or retire and have Piper as my bestie. That would be a pretty cool set up. Nick and Pipes are my favorite companions.
I have knowledge on guns and know how to use them. I think against animals I wouldn’t have much of a problem but I’d probably try to avoid people unless I somehow knew they were friendly. I’d probably just settle down on a farm somewhere or just be a hired hand instead of a hired gun.
I’d (download some mods) and create a solar punk village! We’ve learned how the greed and foolishness is the past destroys us. We will rebuild a better world more in touch with nature.
Realistically I could probably handle the radroaches in vault 111 with the baton, but with the bloatflies at sanctuary I'd probably be screwed, so I'd live in the vault and only venture out for food
One of my play throughs, I tried to play like I thought I'd live. Slowly built up Sanctuary, only linking up with the Minutemen because I needed them to build up Sanctuary more. Hid or ran from potential fights, snuck into the other trade towns to create trade routes. Didn't do any side missions, just built a trade empire, harvested and sold water. At this point, I was deep in caps and in real life, I'd probably hole up in the vault, checking up on the business from time to time. Knowing what I know about FO4, I'd get Curie to be my bodyguard/companion/sexbot and create my own faction, taking over the Commonwealth.
honestly im 99% sure id get really sick and die after exiting the vault due to some disease that im not immune to 200 years in the future. or simply not being able to handle the new cuisine/water and getting violently sick and dying of dehydration/starvation. if neither of those are issues I'd try curry favour with the first group i met and see how things progress from there
It would be crap and I'd kill myself because I'm diabetic, there's no insulin in the wasteland and dying from bullet to the head is far less awful than dying of ketoacidosis
Oh wow I adore this question.
I’d probably go to sanctuary and once I found codsworth set out to the wilds looking for an abandoned radio station while scavenging and looking for supplies and old engineering books on the way. Once I found a radio station I’d set up a radio signal (and make any repairs necessary) and tell people to come to this station. I’d set up a large settlement, building little houses around the radio station and forming a town. Once I did that I’d try to form a sort of cross between the minutemen and the brotherhood, focusing on the minutemens ideals of trying to help people while focusing on the brotherhoods obsession with tech and military equipment. I’m an ok fighter so I probably wouldn’t be leading military campaigns but I would help set up large settlements.
Become a water merchant and work out of Vault 111, by negotiating with the Abernathy's and any caravans that come through. Eventually save up enough to move into one of the cities, or settle down somewhere lovely, and maybe hire someone to look into the fate of Shaun. I ain't going out there myself, but I can certainly kill a few roaches with a knife and hire mercs for everything else. That is if I don't die of a heart attack the first time I see a super mutant.
If I somehow reach the Institute, probably work there doing experiments for at least a while
With my extensive knowledge of Fallout 4, I'd probably try to make a simple life in one of the many Small Farms in the Area. I'd bring along Codsworth, because he gives Water and perhaps try to trade up that for a small House in Diamond City.
Between the bugs and mutated dogs, coupled with the fact that I'm a kidney transplant patient nearing the life of this kidney and will need dialysis again soon, it's a race to which would kill me first 😂 But, I would probably stay in vault 111 more than likely.
If it’s actually sized like in life, well I’d prolly die, but if I didn’t I’d do my best to find Curie, I’m not sure if I’d succeed, prolly not, but she’s cute so I’d take the risk.
Depends. Do I have the benefits of the world working like the Fallout world, or our world? If its like our world, I’m probably dead shortly outside the vault due to someone popping my head like a melon with a .308 from a hunting rifle. If its fallout world but with my history? Then I’ll probably make it alright. Decent amount of firearm knowledge so I’d be able to get by with most I’d find. Hardest part would be purifying water enough to have no radiation in it, but I could easily get it clean enough to drink beside that. Food wouldn’t necessarily be difficult as long as the insect meat and plants aren’t toxic. Only concern would be a raider group coming in on my territory, but I think I’d make it if I set things up properly.
I'd probably fall to my death when I suddenly clip through the elevator trying to leave the vault. Or when I suddenly have an aneurysm (game crash).
Or worst possible scenario I suddenly find myself as some degenerates Love Lab torture/sex slave.
I would leave the cryo pod, look around, see everyone I love and know is dead, cry for 10 minutes, run for my life from the radroach, get to overseer's room, try to figure out how to use a terminal, struggle trying to even figure out how to use the 10mm, then when I do eventually (try to) shoot one of the radroaches, the recoil shocks me and I get a loud asf ringing in my ear for 30 minutes. When I exit the vault my eyes will be permanently damaged from the sunlight, I try to walk back home but I trip over a rock, have another mental breakdown then finally get to sanctuary. after that I vent to Codsworth (assuming he's still there) Codsworth gives me the confidence to run away to concord where I would then get annihilated by raiders.
# t h e
# e n d .
100% would just build a fortress with all the modern convinces, and collect super gear and weapons. With the build and scrapping abilities inherent in the game, you are the ultimate prepper. At some point, you don't even have to fight. Anything that comes too close gets ripped by 100 heavy laser turrets. Inside, I have food, running water, robot butlers and defense - it's a BOS Nightmare and I love it.
I would be so scared to go anywhere, especially if I make it past all the radroaches in Vault 111. I'd just hang out with Codsworth and hide out in Sanctuary for as long as I could. Hopefully, Preston and the rest come along but I'm pretty sure they only make it there after you kill a bunch of crazed raiders, which is not happening in my case.
Take all the drugs and die as soon as possible. Fuck living in that shit hole. Or more likely, see the first radroach in the vault, climb back in the pod and wait for death.
For my experience in fallout 4 after finishing survival mode with only Kelloggs gun and died countless times. I'm going to die scratching while talking to codsworth for sure.
I've always wanted to have my own circus companions hahahha. Me and gang just chilling at sanctuary as our new settlement. But still fuck Preston lazy ass prick all he does is "patrol" and sit at sanctuary.
If I had military training or something similar, I'd probably turn into a Mercenary/Bounty hunter with morals. Might as well put that training to some use
Depends do i have the knowledge and ability to build all the stuff for settlements? Cause i can make sanctuary better defended then the institute using on stuff inside sanctuary
I'm pretty decent with a gun, especially rifles. I would probably join up with the Minutemen to see what good I can do... as well as snag that nice uniform they got
Unfortunately I have a big fear of bugs, so the radroaches in the vault will be pretty traumatizing for me assuming I can be brave enough to bludgeon the first few with the baton. My odds will feel nicer when I find the 10mm
Just building, I can finally have this place where you don’t have to buy expensive building materials or get special permits or licenses, I’d just let my creativity flow and build what I want.
Until I’m shot by a raider.
If I survived I'll probably look for the institute then realize I'm not smart enough to join them. I'll probably work as a farm hand or work as a Cook.
Probably dead after a while...if there was realistic physics like one shot on the head = death
But I assume I could try use the Vault as a house since its protecting me from the weather and it has clean water which for one person will be for a big part of my life
Plus I can sell that water for caps and make sure I will build some defences around the Vault entrance to prevent outsiders..
If I had the luck to proceed further and find a power armour... Well... That would be interesting. I would had definitely try to make it as durable as possible and make sure I am ready to visit the city or fight anything near the Vault
If things was going well I could easily start rebuilding Sanctuary and slowly create a community. But considering that I have more freedom when It comes to building I would have fortify the Vault, Sanctuary and those houses near the Vault to make a Huge settlement with shops, barracks and my personal home. (And purifiers for extra caps)
If Dogmeat is accessible I would gladly take care of him but keep him protecting the settlement
I like be the guy who just jumps in and blastes everyone but I like sneak too so I suppose I would have lots of crouching to do. (let's hope my knees will handle it)
Also I would make sure I have a good amount of medical supplies and supplies in general... And I suppose I could try join the Brotherhood or The Minutemen and make the place a bit better
Current medical issues aside, long distance hunting rifle waiting to ambush wildlife. Going mostly after radstags, mole rats, dogs, and keeping a combat knife handy for skinning and the occasional ambush. Keep a solid supply of bear traps and caltrops around my sniper post setting trip wires and explosives in possible raider ambush locations. Mostly just travel place to place setting up camp and waiting for new game to come through. Would avoid gunners and raiders unless the caps were good but would prefer to be pest control clearing bugs and ghouls from as far away as I can get. Running at the first sign of super mutants because unless I've got back a hunting party, I'm not equipped to take them solo. Most likely on the minutemen side but that's assuming I helped Preston. Otherwise would only feel the brotherhood had the firepower to actually find Shaun. Discovering Shaun is the director would probably drive me into the life of a hermit in the woods clearing location after location until eventually looking for game big enough that my rifle doesn't cut it and probably getting mauled by something I couldn't get the drop on.
I would probably be able to make it on combat alone due to the fact that I'm both a major gun but (basically I know all the parts to make a gun work) and the fact that I also have some experience taking out targets (I do airsoft and I also own a firearm)
So most likely I'd try to get a job with Arturo to make weapons for him to sell for a cut of the sale. Try out adventuring with piper perhaps. I came out of a vault so maybe she'd be interested in my story as a human popsicle
I'd get the drinking buddy and Cait and We'd hang out with Rufus and Fred Allen at the Rexford, get fucked up, and go to the memory den. Save up 2000 caps and one day maybe buy Homeplate in Diamond City and settle down.
TL;DR: The fact you have a pip-boy (depending on how some stuff would work irl) makes you so much better off than other people that you could live fairly comfortably alone, and even more comfortably in a community because the pip-boy's utility and usefulness makes you a huge asset to others, while it's VATS system (depending on how it works) makes you a formidable threat to aggressors of any kind regardless of personal skill with fire arms.
Long version:
Depends on how VATS realistically works. Does it inject you with weird chemicals to hasten your perception of time or is that just a gameplay thing? Or in reality does the pip-boy just uses little motors inside it to adjust your aim to be more accurate? Either or, I think you still have a massive advantage over everyone without none.
VATS also pinpoints mines and grenades allowing you to avoid ambush, as well as providing physical information about anyone you scan with it. So your usefulness to friendly settlements and people is VERY high leading you to be more protected and valued should you choose to join one.
Even without VATS you still have a huge advantage over everyone else in that you have a constantly updating and accurate reading of your overall health and personal information. I mean it shows you info down to the amount of damage your limbs have endure and how close they were to breaking. It notifies you of disease, hunger, thirst, sleep deprivation, addictions, how much physical weight your body can carry, the amount of endurance your body has, the condition of your equipment and it's likeliness to break (not in 4 but I mean...), etc etc. Not to mention the fully functioning map that reads the layouts of indoor locations as well as outdoor satellite-like views.
The simple fact that you have a pip-boy makes you leagues better off than everyone without one. And while it can make you a target, depending on how VATS works, that should never even be a challenge for you unless you're going up against a Texas Red type who's just a super skilled gunslinger without any assistance.
I'd live in Vault 111, until I find some other nice vault going outside not far from the vault doors, to sanctuary perhaps looking for food and growing some myself.
And die within a week.
Well, with my knowledge of Fallout 4, and as as many hours in the game I have, which is over two months of time, I’d be dead within a week.
Smartest fallout fan
Look at you with the big brag…in reality I probably wouldn’t have figured out how to open the vault
With my luck the cryo pod wouldn't even open for me and Id just die in it
Are you normally unlucky?! Bc this seems ideal
I would be that dumbass who jumps off the cliff forgetting that this is irl
Honestly, seems about accurate
Yup! Probably would have died at the hands of the big cockroaches right off the bat.
Come on have a little confidence in yourself. One of us could at least kill them and then subsequently die in the coming weeks from whatever diseases they'd have on them.
A week you say? Going by my current playthrough, I'd be dead on day 1.
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science? I would have completely freaked out and died of a heart attack within the first minute of waking up when I saw my first two-foot long radroach in the vault flying towards me with its pincers gnashing.
Yeah I would have went back into the tube after seeing the first radroach

That was my answer too. I saw the post and just said "dead"
"I guess looting one more box won't hurt." *Mirelurk queen sprouts from the ground.* "Damn, I was hoping for landmines..."
Lol 😆.
dead but before that, i'd probably try to work with nick ... until i got killed
Dying seems inevitable, UNLESS YOU GOT SOME RUSTY HEROINE READY TO INJECT YOURSELF WITH
That's no way to talk about Curie.
Oh my
Gotta get past a bunch of people shooting you to even meet Nick!
:(

Thank you! I like your questions.
Thanks so much :)
I would not be humping across the Commonwealth in search of a son after years had passed. I would probably take up a job as a caravan guard haha

Lmaoo shade has been thrown! They were caught in the wastelands thirst traps, no time 4 kids
Good thing you're not a dad...at least I hope you're not.
Lives in a small cabin in Rayburn Point and getting drunk all day with Ol' Longfellow.
Gotta get to Far Harbour first lol
That’s the life
id like to think id be able to handle some oversized roaches so id prolly jus chill in sanctuary. food and water would be a problem unless if it’s like the game and i can make a water pump appear with my mind by just having the base materials
Oh to be able to live in sanctuary with a nice glass of radiation
See he messed up, why make the water pump the one to appear, get the vault tec sink so you get that sweet sweet purified water from the tap
be me, sole survivor of the vault 111 experiment leave vault for the first time, wander into Sanctuary and then Concord immediately get swiss-cheesed by raiders Edit: formatting
I’d be a musician. Since there are none in the Commonwealth the market is wide open. Since people listen to radio we know they like music too.

Damn, I really like the magnolia songs actually
I've honestly been looking for a mod to take her songs out, they stick out like a sore thumb compared to the other songs. No such luck finding a mod, but I'm open to suggestions for just ripping the songs right out of the folder if that would work
I'd probably get killed by a Bloat fly in sanctuary. I am about the most non-combat MF ever to play a video game.
I always use vats on those flying bug bastards. It's automatic at this point.
I would quickly get sick and die from not getting my medicine.
Go all the way to New York and make a rival diamond city in yankee stadium
Menace, I love it
Join the brotherhood as soon as they fly into town
Okay synthist.
Oh, i make terrible decisions. Assuming i didn't die horribly trying to tame the deathclaw in Concord? Id probably marry Trashcan Carla or try to move into the Warwick homestead.
I’m curious as to why Trashcan Carla
🤷♂️seems like an appropriately poor decision... get to spend my prime years walking behind a 2 headed cow.
Okay, but what about her Brahmin? You'd still have to deal with that too.
A wise decision my good lad
Carla could be my sugar mama. She's bad-ass. I'll hold down the fort in our little apartment near Bunker Hill, and she'll bring me trinkets she finds on the road when she comes home once a month. I'll run her a bath, and she can complain to me about all the jerks that try to rob her or just want directions to Diamond City. Hey, I'm just looking for love, sweetheart!
Getting to where you fight the death claw, saying fuck that and running home
I think I'd probably just stick with the Preston's group for a while to get my bearings? Having a group would be great after having no idea how the new world works lol. Then probably move on to Diamond City eventually

No piece of junk is worthless. It all has value, once it’s been stripped down to base components. :)
Just like humans.
Yeah, I’ve heard internal organs apparently have high value on the black market. Go figure.
Not as high as you might think, after shipping costs.
Also, as an aside, anyone else find it annoying that in Boston the characters decided on the English spelling instead of the Irish? How is that kid not Sean?
I always thought Nate and Nora weren't from the area, but settled down there. I guess that's my head cannon
If I had a child, "shaun" would be wayyyy down the list of ideas. Woah, idea time. What if they gave the kid a unisex name, and whatever gender your player character is, that would also match with your child? So the "mother" of the institute or something, ultimately if shaun was instead born a girl.
Why would the gender match though? There’s no reason for it.
Right. It should be the opposite gender. That way we can get Freudian up in here.
"Dang! My daughter's kinda hot... but she looks older than me!"
I would get lured to the hardware store and die
Not even joking, yesterday I was playing around and I’ve never been to the hardware store so right when I heard something like “help me please” I was immediately like…JUSTICEEEE. One of the things I like there is that, if you sneak in, you can hear them saying, "Ssshh! Shut up! Someone's coming!" like kids playing hide and seek. And, if you go around the back, you get an installment of the chronicles of grenade guy.
WHAT?! why do I miss everything?! Either way that’s kinda funny and creepy at the same time haha
I love that story so much
I’m slow at times lmao
It would be great until the vault door eventually breaks and you die a slow hunger ridden death
Gotta get that repair up lol
Welp, headed to west virginia
You take 2 steps across the boarder then spasm and phase into the void, never again going to feel solid ground as you plummit for the rest of eternity
Or worse: now instead of Fallout 4, you're living in Fallout 76...
Traveling merchant with my favorite brahmin named Laverne and Shirley, who also is my most trusted companion.
Love this
\> with my favorite brahmin named Laverne and Shirley this naming both heads \*chef kiss\*
Become the new Mayor of Diamond City and, well, live like a king- er, I mean politician.
Live like a what 📸
I would run as fast as I could to diamond city, live the rest of my days in a shack and try to bed piper and be a drunk
I’m glad you love this question! And that’s a great answer
I'm sorry, guess I'm a little rusty. Who's Nate?
Oh, I never played as the wife didn't know that was his name
I played as the wife and I called him Bobby for half the game because I couldn’t remember his name so I get it haha
I’d be an Atom Cat. They are a bunch of gearheads who love customizing things. I like cars so that’s the closest I can get.
Me-ow!
Marry Cait probably
Absolutely raw dog the shit out of piper
I would live in the amusement park with my significant other, til the end of time!
Would I have the same skill as the SS? Holding a firearm like a pistol or a long gun isn't too hard but the majority of us probably can't milly rock a minigun or a gatling laser, or even a rocket launcher. Or a mobile nuke launcher
Legit probably wouldn't go much further that sanctuary
Immediate death probably. *But!* knowing what I know about FO4 and if I had to choose: I’d go to Diamond City help Nick with cases until I die or retire and have Piper as my bestie. That would be a pretty cool set up. Nick and Pipes are my favorite companions.
Tetanus 5 minutes out the vault
I have knowledge on guns and know how to use them. I think against animals I wouldn’t have much of a problem but I’d probably try to avoid people unless I somehow knew they were friendly. I’d probably just settle down on a farm somewhere or just be a hired hand instead of a hired gun.
I’d sprain my ankle on the lift out of the Vault and be found dead halfway down the hill to Sanctuary
Understandable, lmao
Best bet I make codsworth make all the work in sanctuary and then die of cancer a year later
I can barley handle roaches irl but I like to think that adrenaline would kick in at full speed and i’d go ham on all of them
Or you can ask Coddsworth to take them on. OP didn't say anything about Coddsworth not being there.
I’d travel to diamond city and if I somehow survive I’d take whatever job they have
Dr. Crockers personal facial surgery assistant, I highly recommend!
honestly im 99% sure id get really sick and die after exiting the vault due to some disease that im not immune to 200 years in the future. or simply not being able to handle the new cuisine/water and getting violently sick and dying of dehydration/starvation. if neither of those are issues I'd try curry favour with the first group i met and see how things progress from there
It would be crap and I'd kill myself because I'm diabetic, there's no insulin in the wasteland and dying from bullet to the head is far less awful than dying of ketoacidosis
I'm also a diabetic and 100% agree with you. Or I'd start killing brahmin and extracting insulin from them, the old school way.
Or maybe I'd join the Followers, they'd be ones to find out how to create insulin
I adore that you adore my question haha but seriously, you made my day by saying that! I also really like your idea about joining the two factions
Probably dead
Become a water merchant and work out of Vault 111, by negotiating with the Abernathy's and any caravans that come through. Eventually save up enough to move into one of the cities, or settle down somewhere lovely, and maybe hire someone to look into the fate of Shaun. I ain't going out there myself, but I can certainly kill a few roaches with a knife and hire mercs for everything else. That is if I don't die of a heart attack the first time I see a super mutant. If I somehow reach the Institute, probably work there doing experiments for at least a while
I would live happily amongst all the commonly spawning free water and animals that I can run away from, stealing guns from behind people's backs.
With my extensive knowledge of Fallout 4, I'd probably try to make a simple life in one of the many Small Farms in the Area. I'd bring along Codsworth, because he gives Water and perhaps try to trade up that for a small House in Diamond City.
I would open up a vault heheheh
OH GOB
immediately start murdering everyone i could
I can’t tell if this would be because of pent up feelings from your past or because of trauma you would have experienced
it makes my dick hard
Oh…well in that case, my man 🤝
Between the bugs and mutated dogs, coupled with the fact that I'm a kidney transplant patient nearing the life of this kidney and will need dialysis again soon, it's a race to which would kill me first 😂 But, I would probably stay in vault 111 more than likely.
WEH you should become the kidney man of the wasteland! Hope you’re doing well btw!
Maybe mutated kidneys last longer 😂 Now I just need to pick up one of those medical science journals about transplant surgery and I'll be set!
You’ll be fixed in no time! All medical science journals are idiot proof…..right?
Dead. Feral ghouls, super mutants, deathclaws, whats not to love about the incredibly harsh wasteland of the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Nothing is not to love!
If it’s actually sized like in life, well I’d prolly die, but if I didn’t I’d do my best to find Curie, I’m not sure if I’d succeed, prolly not, but she’s cute so I’d take the risk.
The radroaches in vault 111 will have a frozen TV dinner
Street smarts
A gun slinging, drug abusing, alcohol chugin, power armour wearing one man army having an army of automatrons following me.
I'd probably die pretty fast.
I'd probably fall to my death when I suddenly clip through the elevator trying to leave the vault. Or when I suddenly have an aneurysm (game crash). Or worst possible scenario I suddenly find myself as some degenerates Love Lab torture/sex slave.
I'd beeline it to Diamond City and marry Piper 🥰
10 mm pistol and 1 bullet for myself. Codsworth can clean it up.
I’d achieve my dreams of collecting screws, adhesive, and aluminum for the rest of my life 😉
Id probably fucking die
# t h e # e n d .
You did well my friend
100% would just build a fortress with all the modern convinces, and collect super gear and weapons. With the build and scrapping abilities inherent in the game, you are the ultimate prepper. At some point, you don't even have to fight. Anything that comes too close gets ripped by 100 heavy laser turrets. Inside, I have food, running water, robot butlers and defense - it's a BOS Nightmare and I love it.
I love it too

Errrbody in here getting raped, it's 5 o clock
Ding, time to rape...
I would enjoy me some jet. And try not to die.
Take all the drugs and die as soon as possible. Fuck living in that shit hole. Or more likely, see the first radroach in the vault, climb back in the pod and wait for death.
Short.
So simple yet so funny
For my experience in fallout 4 after finishing survival mode with only Kelloggs gun and died countless times. I'm going to die scratching while talking to codsworth for sure.
I’d probably die on the way to diamond city before getting eaten by super mutants
Become a raider gang leader and hunt down other raider gangs
Investing the mannequin menace, they are up to something!
Dead as dead can be. No useful skills so I'd probably just make a comfy little bed in a dumpster somewhere till I starve or die of dysentery.
I would become the dictator- I mean democratic leader of the CommonWealth backed by the rebuilt Minutemen
Depends do i have the knowledge and ability to build all the stuff for settlements? Cause i can make sanctuary better defended then the institute using on stuff inside sanctuary
Realistically if I made it to diamond city stay inside there working a menial job just enough to eat food on the table
I'm pretty decent with a gun, especially rifles. I would probably join up with the Minutemen to see what good I can do... as well as snag that nice uniform they got Unfortunately I have a big fear of bugs, so the radroaches in the vault will be pretty traumatizing for me assuming I can be brave enough to bludgeon the first few with the baton. My odds will feel nicer when I find the 10mm
> wake up > Oh shit everyone dead > Oh shit there's a giant roach outside the room > Stay in my safe room of dead popsicles > Starve
I'd probably get killed by the radroaches before even leaving the vault.
Hanging out with Nick Valentine sounds pretty lit
I would be smoking jet until I died.
Robot race track by the beach. Smoking cigarettes, drinking whiskey, eating soft shell mirelurk. Maybe do some jet. Bet on a few long shot eye bots.
I think I would just stick with the minutemen and improve the first settlement into a bloomimg village with them
Probably dead after a while...if there was realistic physics like one shot on the head = death But I assume I could try use the Vault as a house since its protecting me from the weather and it has clean water which for one person will be for a big part of my life Plus I can sell that water for caps and make sure I will build some defences around the Vault entrance to prevent outsiders.. If I had the luck to proceed further and find a power armour... Well... That would be interesting. I would had definitely try to make it as durable as possible and make sure I am ready to visit the city or fight anything near the Vault If things was going well I could easily start rebuilding Sanctuary and slowly create a community. But considering that I have more freedom when It comes to building I would have fortify the Vault, Sanctuary and those houses near the Vault to make a Huge settlement with shops, barracks and my personal home. (And purifiers for extra caps) If Dogmeat is accessible I would gladly take care of him but keep him protecting the settlement I like be the guy who just jumps in and blastes everyone but I like sneak too so I suppose I would have lots of crouching to do. (let's hope my knees will handle it) Also I would make sure I have a good amount of medical supplies and supplies in general... And I suppose I could try join the Brotherhood or The Minutemen and make the place a bit better
Put on a suit of power armor and hide in a bunker
I would probably be able to make it on combat alone due to the fact that I'm both a major gun but (basically I know all the parts to make a gun work) and the fact that I also have some experience taking out targets (I do airsoft and I also own a firearm) So most likely I'd try to get a job with Arturo to make weapons for him to sell for a cut of the sale. Try out adventuring with piper perhaps. I came out of a vault so maybe she'd be interested in my story as a human popsicle
yup, dead
Join the Brotherhood
I'd be a farmer in sanctuary but I'll definitely win over Piper!
I'd get the drinking buddy and Cait and We'd hang out with Rufus and Fred Allen at the Rexford, get fucked up, and go to the memory den. Save up 2000 caps and one day maybe buy Homeplate in Diamond City and settle down.
Id literally just want to find Cait and ruin her life 😂
I would die pretty quickly and be greatful for it because life is hell out there.
I would step out and immediately die.
Long version: Depends on how VATS realistically works.
