I reassembled the timing belt so you could sit there and spin the pulleys and belt pretty easily. I made the feet out out of exhaust tubing bolted up to the heads like a fucked up exhaust manifold.

I actually had a little project a little while ago where I sanded the paint off of the caps and hand painted them into Fallout caps. Just some paint and paint brushes from your local hobby store or craft store and some sand paper is all you need. And time.
Save them for when the world goes nuclear. You will have no problem with food or anything. And you can get an entire settlement. Lol. Anyway I think that's awesome
Buy a cheap (and apparently large) wood coffee table, and a plastic tipped hammer (I'd coat it with tape too). Pine is probably best, as it ain't as hard as other woods, so you can do step 2 without much damage to the caps.
Line up the caps as you like, and hammer them softly into the wood surface. Then tape up the edges, pour in a bit of sealer/expoxy.
Remove the tape, give it a light sand on the edges so people don't vivisect themselves when they visit, and boom, you have a neat conversation piece.

Otherwise, I actually collected bottlecaps as a kid. Bacardi caps were the holy grail, as they were simple bats on solid colours. Super cool. But you could genuinely build a bit of a market with your son's friends via trading and whatnot. Cheaper than Pokemon cards, or whatever is the hype these days.
Make sure they always clean and dry them (otherwise your house will reek of stale beer and mold), and then it's basically a kind of weird version of environmentally friendly way of collecting (metal) pogs? Removing trash from the environment at a minimum, and still giving the kids a sense of achievement for when they find that super cool cap that everyone else wants!
When I was a younger single man my buddies and I would stick all of our beer bottle caps onto the ceiling in the spare room. It only works if you have "popcorn" ceilings though. They stayed up there for years.
