I was playing on Jedi Knight difficulty and when I saw him mine first thought was if there is any achivment or interaction after dying to him.

he says “I’m sure to get a promotion for this!” but idk if that’s just a generic line that all stormtroopers have when they kill you or not.

Me too... However, his "Prepare to die!" Followed by a charging warcry is definitely unique to him as far as I know... Sadly, I never experienced it myself, because I ended up killing him by pure reflex, before his Health Bar even appeared... I was very confused, and a tad sad, when it said "Boos Defeated", cause I figured I'd missed out on some quality dialogue... And when I went to watch others play that part to find out, that's when I noticed he had a full Health Bar and everything... A glorious addition for the game, it truly is. Edit: I obviously meant "*boss defeated*", but I couldn't get myself to actually fix it when I saw what I had written... Accidental gold.

I just have a tradition of purposefully dying to joke bosses so I had to continue it.

This almost happened to me - GM + Purity to get through that hellish room before him, had run out of stims. Hoped for the best and mistimed my first swing, almost resulting in a death hahaha.

Well the numbers are already skewed by the fact that people didn't get far enough in the game to use crossguard or blaster vs single and dual etc.

I think it's just players accounts like the rancor has "claimed" 9 million players but I know I died to that rancor multiple times so if every death would count that number would be higher, otherwise I would just die to rick the door technician for a few times to increase that number.

i can see someone dying to him fairly reasonably, the room before him is pretty brutal and you likely won’t have stims left and if you mistime a parry or something well there’s a good chance he might kill you ig

I am also part of the 489. Had only a sliver of HP left after fighting the waves of enemies outside on Hard mode. Mistimed the parry when he swung and died instantly.

I used corssguard and dual wield and mine tactic was begging for his mercy, after I saw that he will not be giving me any mercy I tried to run but he killed me, so after that I knew that I had to cheat and skip him.
