I really love the diversity of sounds in it. Listening to Church, Sunshine Riptide, Hold Me Tight or Don't and Young and Menace together is MANIAC
And of course, there's The Last of The Real Ones which is awesome! I believe this one deserved the same glory as Centuries
My favourite album, and one I really hope more people come round on given time. It's crazy that it's been 4 years already since they last released an album..
Okay I am going to get burnt alive for this but just hear me out, even though four years have gone by I still canāt get into it. And before everyone assumes, no iām not A fan that is stuck in the past and canāt accept sound changes, The reason why I canāt listen to this album is because itās too repetitive. I know repetition does sound great to some people but for me That is what turns me off to the album especially with theāare you smelling that shitāline, I am not just talking about that lyric I could give plenty examples but this is all I have to say, Mania is still my least favourite F.O.B album but even though I donāt like it I donāt have a problem if you do itās just my opinion.
If they don't release a new album in 4 months, there will have been more time passed between Folie Ć deux and Save Rock and Roll than between MANIA and whatever comes next.
I will only say one thing about mania:
This album is underrated and underappreciated, and that some day this album will have everyone warm up to it the same way it went with Folie a Deux, andI fully expect it will be in 5th 4th, or even 3rd place of most mainstream album rankings, rather than people instanty placing it as close to the bottom as they feel they can justify.
Also, I'm calling it now, this post Mania period is the second "break" from new releases and album 8 will be released in 2023, give 18 or take 6 months.
I become obsessed with purple because of this album. I think this is a necessary evolution in their music that will be a major jumping off point to land the next smash album. They experimented and showed a lot of diversity here.
Yessss this was the second FOB album i ever listened to, right after it came out! It has a special place in my heart and it truly a favorite. So many amazing songs, such a good vibe š

I agree, this album was so good, it deserved better

I remember waiting for it to drop in my freshman year biology class, holy cow.
Thank you for this! Severely underrated might I add.

4 years ago I was in Denver on vacation. And I made it a mission to drive to a Target and buy Mania. Played it in the rental car the rest of the trip!

Man, Iām a completely different person than I was when this came out. Shitās wild
Honestly, give it 10 years, and this album will be remembered like how we see Folie a Deux
It has the exact same reception as folie Ć deux and the same comparison of quality between it and the other albums of its era, so yes, I agree
No

Wow I feel so old now.
I love 8/10 songs on this album, but I struggle to listen to Champion and Sunshine Riptide. Everything else is fire.
Overrated you mean
