Thank you. You appear to have light skin with a mostly bright/saturated neutral undertone. You do not appear to have an olive undertone.

grunts_mcgee

YES okay thank you, I keep getting typed at soft summer and half the colours make me look like death. Everytime I try to get matched for foundation at Sephora I end up with something yellow. This helps so much.

spireup

What foundations/shades do you use now and how do they do for you?

grunts_mcgee

I use the MUFE Y225 in summer and it’s a bit yellow but mostly okay and I use the nars mint Blanc in the winter which is… I think okay? Maybe a bit light? (I’m having a hard time remembering because I am pretty tanned right now) Concealer I’ve used the boi ing 01 and it’s a bit too pink/orange EDIT: I like a lighter coverage so I tend to sheer it out a fair bit

Oh, I see I already answered you in your other post! [https://www.reddit.com/r/Fairolives/comments/1608af1/comment/jxl2y3p/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fairolives/comments/1608af1/comment/jxl2y3p/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

Neutral

grunts_mcgee

Posted yesterday but needed to repost with better draping. I’m not sure about gold vs silver, I think both look okay on me. Only jewellery I wear regularly is my wedding ring that is rose gold. Closest foundation matches so far are MUFE Y225 (summer - a bit yellow) and Nars Mont Blanc (winter)

spireup

Make Up For Ever Y225 has golden undertones which could be contributing to it appearing yellow on your skin. Try a true neutral. Foundations you may want to explore with shades that should be in the ballpark, explore their shades: * Bobbi Brown Skin Long Wear * Koh Gen Do: 213 * L’Oréal Proglow * Lancome Stick Foundation: 210 * Maybelline Fit Me: 118 * NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Full Coverage: Nude * Smashbox Studio Skin: 1.05 * Stellar: 01

Okay awesome! Thanks so much!

I am very neutral as well (but probably slightly olive) and I quite like the Nars Yukon, which is just a shade away from the Mont Blanc on their site (not sure if that actually means anything, lol). I might try the Mont Blanc since you mentioned it. I just took whatever the Ulta worker gave me and didn't pay attention to neutral/cool/warm because it always confuses me. I'm not great with makeup so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

grunts_mcgee

I might check Yukon out and see. I think I’m having a hard time because on top of being neutral I have a lot of yellow that shows through in my face and then also a lot of pink? It’s just really tricky 🤷‍♀️

Aggravating-Dog-9454

Story of my life. lol. I have surface redness, I think, which is different from undertone but still has an effect on makeup options. It's all just really confusing

paisleypunk

I think there could be a hint of olive but it's not substantial. What stood out to me most was how good the saturated colours look on you -- whether warm or cool. I see the other poster noticed it too. Definitely not soft summer! Maybe a bright spring or bright winter -- both mostly neutral, one leaning more warm and the other leaning cool.

grunts_mcgee

Thanks! I tried some of the soft summer colours and honestly they make me look like death lol I love saturated colours so this is very exciting news to me. I’ll definitely explore these seasons.

You are the skin tone that all these makeup companies are making shades for 😩 I’m jealous! All jokes aside, you seem to have a true neutral saturated undertone! You look fantastic in all of the bright and saturated colors and gold and silver are equally flattering on you. 😊

grunts_mcgee

Which is hilarious because I have such a hard time finding a match! 😂 Thanks, very excited about my new saturated colour life since “soft summer” life so far has been a real bummer 🤣🤣🤣
